Lol exactly! As I said, whenever I whinge on here, I win a few things, so here's hoping!! Yes Mothers Day comps EVERYWHERE, but most asking the same questions 'why does your Mum deserve this'. Interesting because "technically"under Facebook terms of use Promoters are not allowed to ask people to "like and share" or "tag a friend" yet so many companies do. In fact nearly all of them and they encourage it to promote their brand. I think the onus is back on the promoter to stop asking people to do it in the first place not that that will ever happen.....! Hope everyone has a fantastic and lucky day!

Yeah interesting, Also Facebook updated their platform in November 2014 and the rules say that Promoters can't ask you to like their page in order to enter a competition. Yet most do and to be honest I like them anyway because I like their competition. Promoters are a creative lot and on a mission to get their product out there and tend to gloss over the rules a bit.

From Facebook competitions Dos and Don'ts.......

"You can collect entries either by having people post on your page or like/comment on a PAGE POST by sending a message to your page; or by utilising likes as a voting mechanism. What you cannot do, however, is ask users to share a post on their own timelines or the timelines of their friends or tag themselves in a picture they are not depicted in."

I agree with most of you ^^^^ I back out of those comps too, as even just yesterday I saw someone who'd tagged about 30 people in a row. I also HATE 'the most likes wins' comps. There's people that PAY on other sites for their votes. And as for 'you must share', I click out of them as well. My Facebook is my way of keeping in touch with family and friends, I'm not going to spam them all with competition tags. But there is a lot of people who only use Facebook for comping, so each to their own, but it does make it harder to win things, unless you want to irritate crap out of Facebook friends. It's also very rare to NOT see 'you must share this to be entered in the competition'. Ummm, no I must NOT, so seeya later. I can see page owners points in trying to get their product out there, but annoying people, isn't the way to do it. Anyway, like I said, each to their own

@roobycat We think alike. I only 'share' with my sister which probably negates my entry anyway. If I tagged all my friends they would choke me!

I was put off FB comps all together at first but have decided my friends have no qualms about posting photos of their dinner or endless motivation memes so I am ok with sharing. I back out of the tagging thing though because I don't have any friends who are understanding enough to be singled out.

Yes @TinaC I agree totally and interestingly enough is IS banned . Facebook says that promoters can have their business facebook pages cancelled if they ask people to like,tag or share in a competition but enforcing it is another thing.

That has happened to me once before. I won a double pass to a movie that was only playing limited sessions at maybe 2 cinemas in Brisbane. I gave them to my sister who lived close to one of the cinemas but the movie ended within a week of me getting the tickets and so they were never used. I have won tickets to Testament of Youth but have not received them yet and it is only playing at a few select cinemas. I am hoping to get those before it stops showing.

Ha. I just found an email telling me I'm a winner. It came yesterday, so my mistake. The apologised for the delay and hope that I might still get to use the tix.

I don't enter them either. I know they'll go to waste and I'd rather someone that will use them, win them. That's bad form though if, like you, you WERE going to use them. No point giving them away! lol

You can still enter. As long as you purchase one of the Kellogs cereals from any Woolworths and go online to kellog's and enter your details, the receipt number and the barcode. The list of participating cereals is on the website. This is the last week to enter.

Thanks everyone. I don't think I have ever one more than 1 prize in a comp before so to win 3 is amazing.

The spa voucher was what I was hoping for. I won a $100 Endota one from MasterCard last week in their current Facebook comp, so was hoping to add this to it. Maybe next week lol although I haven't entered again yet. I'm happy with the Rebel sport $50 voucher from Kelloggs though

If you are not against buying magazines then "Little Angels", "Total Girl" and "Puzzle Fun for Kids" have great prizes in them. My girls used to win regularly from them when they were younger. At 6 my girls were into Barbie, My Little Pony and Little Pet Shops. I am not sure if it has changed much in the last 6-8 years. Good luck!

Oh yeah! Disney princesses! How could I forget that! I loved the kids comps. I still enter some in my youngest daughter's name (she is 12) or else I use all my little niece and nephews as an excuse to enter.

@tobybee, have you viewed any May-posted competitions? Backtracking to view last month's comps will not kickstart your points counter in the new month. Once you view a May-posted competition then your carryover points will kick in. There is also a May 2015 mini-iPad competition (200 points to your tally by viewing/entering it). If the link is not visible on the main page, look at the Guessing Game page - once you enter your number/s, the link will appear. It does seem though that you've done your dash for daily logins for Days 1 and 2. :-(

@diann, if you head to the Guessing Game tab (which I see you've played today), above your select numbers you'll see a hyperlink to the mini iPad competition. I couldn't see the comp otherwise on the first page of the comps page. Hopefully this helps.

After completing the guessing game there is a link to the mini ipad competition, I was also confused as to where it was as well.

It's often difficult to research the company behind the 'Brand', customers views/reviews, site's credibility rating data etc. For the moment I have no reason to doubt them, and enter in the (futile) hope that one day I might too win a prize. Until then.......not holding my breath... ;-)

That's hideous, maybe contact the company that the comp was for and let them know that this person stole your entry (even though it is a while ago) maybe they can blacklist this person. This person wins quite a few competitions and it sounds that he is a serial answer stealer, not good at all.

@TinaC My hubby isn't on FB and I hadn't even thought of doing something like that. I enter comps for fun, it's a bit of a thrill to win something but I wouldn't feel the same if I won something in a 'rubbery' way. Happy comping x

I know there are many cheaters out there but the thought of having an account in hubby's name and then using it to gain extra entries just wouldn't be right, I have enough trouble finding the time with just my account let alone running 2 fb accounts lol. Hubby isn't on facebook - Dad is and funnily enough he said he saw someone copy an exact answer and thought he was going nuts when he read it twice. Where are you fourleaf. I am on the southside of Brisbane but it took my husband nearly 2 hours to get home from work when it usually takes him 10mins. All the local roads were cut and he eventually drove through one that wasn't too deep to get back. Hope your daughter has a good night roobycat. The worst of the rain seems to have stopped now but the roads are a mess!

At month's end, points reset to zero. In order to kickstart the points counter, you need to view as a minimum, one competition. Then your daily login, guessing game daily entry, and any carried over points (e.g. mini iPad competition for 200 points; completed profile 50 points etc) will then display, and your on your way for that month! Hope this helps.

Cereal Prize Winner! You go girl! And may I say, with no disrespect intended, inferred or suggested, Gourmet Traveller magazine is international (and domestic) food porn! I redeemed loyalty points for a 1 year subscription several years back. I'd take the mag to work and read it at lunchtimes. IT rarely made it home again - snaffled up as my back was turned!!!! Food porn is HOT! Lol

One minute there's NO comps on cereal, and now there's TWO Kellogg's one at same time, at different supermarkets. We're all eating Special K for brekkie whether we like it or not, for the next few weeks haha
