Anyone have problems last night entering channel 10's the Project Comp?
Last night the Ten Competitions at tenplay.com.au for the Watch The Project for your chance to WIN an all-new SUZUKI VITARA was experiencing a technical issue.
It has now been resolved. You should be able to enter now.
sorry just saw the post. which night was that. Hmmm might of been Technology. Was a few days ago now. If you miss a code check tenplay.com.au and play the catch up project. I'm not sure if they keep previous episodes or how long. Usually about the 30/31 minute mark.
On Monday night I missed the code and played the replay about 11:30pm. When attempting to submit my entry before midnight it wouldn't post. Grrrrr. So I email tenplay. They responded back about the technical issue had been resolved by midday Tuesday. So the rest of the week I have to wait till after midnight now to enter. :(

| Wide World of Sports - Win a trip for 2 to attend the Los Angeles marathon!
So I've been a little competition lazy as of late, but finally got some exciting news this week! Won a trip to LA for 2 for the LA Marathon in February in an SMS competition through the Wide World of Sports. Most exciting!
starfish...i won a New York hol a couple of years ago. u will love it over there. just goes to show u have to be in it to win it. Again CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
@JulieD @JoLee @bops18 @lsburns @toxicgherkin @Bel7861 @fourleaf Thanks all! Definitely proof that you have to be in it to win it! Stay positive and keep at it and you'll win something exciting when you least expect it!
I forgot to post my latest win ( a great one for Hubby) I finally can toss his "dumb" phone that's over 10 years old and he can move in to the modern era lol.
1 x Microsoft Lumia 640 (windows smartphone)
 1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Cotton Team Cap
 1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Executive Pen
 1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Racing Car USB 4GB
 1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Journal Notebook
Would so love to win some money!!! Lay-by 20" bike for my daughter a hefty $169 and $69 for my son's first bike. Hubby is having his 40th next month and I would like to buy something extra special- perhaps even an experience or time away on a very first holiday.... even if it's just a long week-end with the kids. Just a thought, maybe I should try to win him that something extra special! Any ideas?
Be determined! :) Some people are lucky straight up, I wasn't, took me two months to win my first prize but such a great feeling. Then before you know it you'll want that trip or car and love the other prizes on the way : )
I finally won a decent prize that I really need, valued at $401.89 - 1 x Microsoft Lumia 640 (mobile phone),1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Cotton Team Cap,1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Executive Pen, 1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Racing Car USB 4GB, 1 x Microsoft Lumia & Lotus F1 Team Co-branded Journal Notebook.
A lovely beer o'clock Facebook notification from Birds Eye this Friday arvo in their recent Father's Day promotion -
"Congratulations Christopher! You're one of our lucky winners. Could you please send us your address and contact number? We'll send your prize out to you via tracked envelope as soon as possible!"
One of five $100 Gift Cards - promotion ran from 31/8 to 4/9 with five $100 Gift Cards up for grabs per day of the promotion. Nabbed one on the last day (4/9) it seems. Drawn today. Yay. Will help enormously!
Here's my entry to the question "DADS! What do YOU love most about being a Dad? "
"I love that, despite remonstrations and surly looks aimed squarely at me mostly as 'parental unit', when things go pear-shaped (as they do), my teenagers still come to me for advice, comforting hugs...and yet another Dads Taxi Service booking. Where to now, kids? ;) "
I won 3 nights of meals for 2 people from Hello Fresh - Apparently the meat, vegies, spices, recipe, absolutely everything is provided and all I have to do is get Hubby to cook it, can't wait for it to arrive, will be extremely handy and interested to see the types of recipes they supply.
I had another wonderful winning week last week. I won a $60 jar of special protein/arthritis health suppliment (which will be awesome for my rare health condition), A couple of pairs of funky earrings (which is awesome since I actually am an earringoholic - have over 250 pairs of which I wear all of them lol). John Freida Hair Dye $200 Discovery Parks voucher to give my Dad for Father's Day, since I won cos it was a story about him. I feel so thankful as being on disability pension I struggle for the simplest of things and I appreciate absolutely everything I win. Happy comping everyone xx
Good on you, the best wins are the things you need the most. I love John Frieda products and won a hamper full of his products about a year ago, it was a WOL comp and I really wanted the products for myself and our daughter, was so grateful when I won and put them all to good use, saved us heaps of money. Happy comping x
Surprise win received today from STACK Magazine - Elder Scrolls pack. My lad loves Elder Scrolls. He's stoked. Then checked emails - competitions.com.au sent me $50 via PayPal for the roadside fishing comp. Cheers @admin! Banked!
Surprise delivery! A pair of fair dinkum, ridgy didge Australian Uggs. I've been trying every which way to win a pair, and finally cracked it! Although I have no idea where from, when or how. But oh well, cross those off my wish list now! Yeeharrrr
Thanks @Winner1. I've won a lot of good prizes, and love EVERYTHING I win, but these were near the top of my wish list lol. I know that sounds sad, but they were!
@Jrob, neither do I! lol but I have a 'shopping list' now, that I'm slowly working through lol. I have enough stuff that I don't use, already, without trying to win more lol. Thanks guys :-)
Yes @roobycat unfortunately serious. Changed email shut down my FB for a while and changed my user name here. Entered two FB comps and as soon as I had entered the promoter put up a big piece on how this comp is for its fans and not pro compers. Bit silly of them but anyway have figured some promoters look on sites like this and either promote their Comp or remove you as a valid entry. No not really winning anything linked to from this site, won a DVD last week but not much really.
Wow. Yeah I sensed that this may have been a serious post. The old question remains though - what is a pro comper? I enter comps for things I'd really like to win either for myself or someone close to me. I don't enter for stuff I don't want or need, and won't use. I also would never try to win something for eg: a movie pass for a cinema on the other side of the country, just for the sake of saying I won. That to me, is taking it off someone who may have really enjoyed it, who couldn't normally afford it. I've won things in the past from companies/brand names I've never heard of, and LOVED the product I won, and now purchase that product/brand as a result, (there's many actually) so companies can shoot themselves in the foot by 'banning people' from the chance to try their product. All well and good I suppose for a small company that really wants a genuine fan to win their prize, but again, if someone like ME wins it, and likes it, I'll become a customer. How will I know their products are good, if I can't try them? While I can see the point they are trying to make, it can go against them too. Oh well, I'll just keep plodding along. By no means would I consider myself to be a 'pro comper'. It's just a hobby in which I partake, to hopefully win something I couldn't otherwise afford, or a product I'd love to try for myself.
Oh wow I didn't think of companies checking these sorts of sites, given I was using my name on here, I have just updated my profile. Thank you for the hint.
Maybe not a blacklist as such but have you won a comp or a few comps with them before? I think some FB promoters are cracking down to be fair to their other fans. Look at it like this; When an FB comp is run where the entry requires a comment, tag, share that everyone can see then people do notice when they see someone has previously won and they keep coming back time and again to enter, tag, share (I'm not referring to you ) and this is exactly why these promoters are being contacted by other fans who cry "foul, not fair, I've been a loyal fan and won nothing, this person has won x prizes and enters every comp on FB bla, bla, bla..." added to the mix is a look at the entrants FB wall, promoters and others see a picture of multiple competitions entered and form an opinion. I've seen people win an FB giveaway only to come back to enter the same promoters next giveaway to try and win the same prize or similar again and again...There's a lot to said for taking breaks from FB competitions and keeping a low cyber profile. x
@roobycat Same as you :-) and I've taken a big break from comping especially FB giveaways, honestly the feeding frenzy over some cheap tacky products is cringeworthy and if promoters are getting hacked off at the same people entering every one of their giveways, liking, sharing over and over again well they only have themselves to blame, they set the rules.
@Goldmember I do the same, change my user name, profile on forums often and never use my FB name on forums. The internet is a small place if someone wants to see what you have you've been up to in cyber space. Also I clean house often as in go into my FB account, activity log and then comments and delete, delete, delete. There's no useful purpose for old comments to be sitting on a promoters FB page once a competition has long finished, some of those will be also searchable on Google search.
@pickycomper lol! Yes the feeding frenzies are most certainly cringe worthy. As soon as I see a certain comp is one of 'those', I'm outta there. I've seen comps with only about 80 entries, and the same person/people have done atleast 20 of them each, to win something as small as a keyring. WHYYYYY? lol
@pickycomper I think your right, promoters go to look to see if you've shared the comp on your wall and could see an endless stream of comps with their comp 30th on the list. I think they do form an opinion, especially if someone has just entered a comp for one of their competitors and they see it on there. Then the t&cs that say "best answer wins" (if there are any t&cs) pretty much gives them the means to pick any answer they want.
There is also a lot of people who enter many FB comps are are constantly tagging and sharing even when they don't need to. FB may be social media but there seems to be an idea out there that the more you share the more chance you have of winning or that you will have great karma. How silly is that because all your doing is giving yourself less of a chance and your entry becomes lost in sea of other entries then the promoter says I'm not reading all of those because they're all the same and just picks anyone. Makes it hard for everyone including the promoter who ends scratching his/her head wondering where all his new fans went. @Goldmember I think you've done the right thing. I'm in the process of doing a good spring clean.
Exactly as you said @roobycat , I think a pro comper is someone who does it for a living, definitely not me or you. I'm just entering as per the T&C's for comps I like. Yes it is unfair to be classified but even if a pro comper does enter I think it's elitest to exclude them if hey follow T&C's
lol at any cost! @bukfizz. I LOVE candles too, but I'm not gonna do 3 cartwheels, share the post 15 times, tag 123 friends and run around with my undies on my head, just to win one haha
wow lol - I needed my morning cuppa to read this huge comment. All very interesting. Noticed a comper must be a classed as a pro comper when nearly every prize they've won in the last month is on ebay. I absolutely love comping and find it fun and relaxing and promoters shouldn't make a judgement if you have a zillion comps on your fb as it's against their rules to ask you to share anyway so they should just be thankful they are getting free publicity. Good Luck and hope you all win heaps. I must say I did win a funky necklace on cool fb page a while back and then stopped entering their weekly giveaways only to be contacted to say I am welcome to keep entering the giveaways....so now I'm entering their giveaways as their prizes are always different and they give away 6-12 per week. So now I feel a little guilty after reading one of the comments above. I just think there are some really sore losers (seems to be a growing bunch) out there and they are the people who keep complaining, gotta be in it to win it and if they don't like it then they can rack off and find a new hobby to whinge about.
I guess 'sore loser' though, is similar to the old question of 'what is a professional comper' - what is a sore loser? I've been accused of being one of those, when I haven't even entered the comp in question. Doesn't bother me one bit who wins what, so long as they win it fair and square, but I also 'have an issue' I guess, with ones that just want to win anything and everything, for the sake of winning, when someone else could've really wanted and used that prize. There's a lot of people out there who can't afford the simplest things in life, that many of us take for granted. I've seen people win tickets to movies 3 states away, concerts/shows being held in another state in a few days .... you can't tell me these tickets are all used. I dunno, blame my many years working in family welfare if you like, but I do think you need to be fair. When it's a 20c cap or bar of soap, or cheap piece of jewellery, or some lollies being won by the same people over and over and over, and all because they have 5000 comping friends they can tag when others don't, or a Facebook page overrun with comp posts because they share and share and share, I do question if they really wanted it to have, or just so they can say they won it. Anyway, just my opinion :-)
Despite a popular held belief that winning is best achieved by sending positive vibes I'm going to have a crack at 'Whinge to Win'. It has helped in the past. My last win was July 29. That means the entire month of August came and went without so much as a Tic tac. Of course, the next win is just around the corner but it seems the road I'm on is going straight to the horizon.
Lol yes the whinging works for me too, better than being positive. I find swearing also helps lol. Mind you, when I have a 'dry spell' I then win quite a few things in quick succession, so hang in there, you might have 5000 prizes arrive this month
I won a pack of 3 DVD's today, and yesterday I won a skin and makeup kit for myself and one for a friend. I was just starting to swear. They must've heard me lol
I've never won anything and now all the points I worked hard to get have vanished and now I have none and I am coming last.I can't explain wth has gone on but I'm not having a good day at all now
@happzygal I don't bother with the points thing but if you read down through the forum you will see posts explaining how it works. I think they reset every once - that's probably where your points have gone. I think you get points for viewing comps and playing the guessing game. There are also bonus points for birthdays.
Hi Jaclyn75, I noticed that not all your points are showing. Best thing to do is log in today to get your daily points, then go to the guessing game to get your extra 50 points then go to the competitions list and view at least one competition and then go to the leaderboard. All your points should then show up. Remember to view all the competitions to get your maximum competition points. If you click on someone else's name on the leader board (use mine if you like) it will show you a breakdown of total points. You should have points against each category. I hope this makes sense as I have only just finished work after working last night and I'm feeling a little bleary eyed (00) !! : )
@Jaklyn75 good stuff! but remember you still have three more competitions to view which will give you another three points. The total competitions added today are 10...so far! ( the rectangular view tab will turn from blue to orange on the competitions list once you've viewed successfully) lotsa luck : )
Well done that's a good prize: ) gee I enter every competition and raffle I see and have never won anything not even a meat tray --so I enjoy seeing others win.Keep up the good work :)
Well done, my Dad won a prize from them a while back (4 x Hazelnut spreads) man oh man they are yum with no typical stevia aftertaste, eat up and enjoy your prize. Congrats :)
Small win that's much appreciated - from Foxtel Movies - Big Hero 6 caption-this promotion:
"...the kind of airbag you want around, when friends 'crash' for the night...."
Nice stocking filler for Christmas time for the little nieces and nephew. I just have to decide who's been naughty, and who's been nice.... boohaha ;) My two teens are out of this lovely phase. :(
Foxtel Movies replied to your comment on their photo.
Foxtel Movies 28 August at 15:37
Congratulations Christopher. You have been chosen as a winner of the Big Hero 6 competition! Can you please inbox us with your address so we can send you your prize? Thank you, Foxtel Movies
I won $100 NRL supporters pack and I got it in Hubby's team of Cronulla to surprise him, instead of my team Canterbury. Very happy and all from picking the score :) Love these comps.
Got off Facebook for 3 months, back on (-arggghh) competition force. No more fake Facebook, which I made up for this website, but feeling deceitful hehe. ( won't win being deceitful....thus Back on the real deal. Bittersweet emotions
Hi, JacQ. The Leaderboard section in the top menu has blurb regarding this. Basically at month's end a ranking of 1st, 2nd and 3rd will result in payment of $100, $50 and $25 respectively. 4th-20th ranked compers get double the daily guesses for the following month. Cheers.
Saw a competition today to win......wait for it!........a loaf of bread lol. It costs a bakery less than 20c to bake the one that they showed. A lot of entries too! Don't you just WISH there were better prizes out there sometimes...Sigh!
@toxicgherkin @Trevsta, Yeah much better, we all knead dough, I have a friend who works in a bakery, this was from a well known brand too. Stingy to say the least!
Lol yes I saw that one. I really don't get the attraction with winning stuff like that. There's a company that runs regular ones to win a cheapo cap. Good advertising for them, but really? I'll save my time for more meaningful things lol
@roobycat , yeah I think it's lousy, I was surprised at the amount of entries. I'd rather spend the effort entering a words or less comp for something a little more worthwhile than 20c.
Yes I don't get the attraction either. Each to their own and all that, but no thank you. I have enough land fill in my house as it is, without trying to win more lol
Hi all, I am very new to entering competitions but have decided to give it a try as I have some spare time on my hands. It's great to see on the forum that people actually do win things. Sometimes I'm scared that I'm just inviting lots of spam. Any tips or suggestions much appreciated. BTW I have NEVER won anything so fingers crossed that this site could change that for me. Good luck to you all. :)
Goodluck, this is a great site. Yes I totally understand that you are worried about spam emails, I have a zillion to sift through daily but comping is a great way to spend some spare time and I have been very blessed and won many prizes over the past few years, but still aiming for a big win like a car etc. Enjoy comping and hope you have your first win very soon xx
@fourleaf is right on the money there. The Blog section is very useful.
There's also a compers group on Facebook (closed group but welcomes newcomers) that posts the winning names from a horde of (Facebook) comps. Unfortuntately you will find that some companies/promoters will use plain text as the notification means, especially on Facebook, (sometimes on websites too), to fulfil their obligation. Unless you check back, you'll never know you've won, and if you do find that you had won, sometimes the prize has been reallocated as per Terms and Conditions if the winner 'doesn't respond' in a timely fashion. Hmphh! Here's this Facebook group - well worth joining...
I've Won
| Mindfood - Win 1 of 10 copies of Tania de Jong's 'Heaven on Earth' CD!
Small win - CD, notified via email:
CONGRATULATIONS! You were a winner in our August issue competition and have won a copy of ?Tania de Jong?s Heaven on Earth?, valued at $29.95. We hope you enjoy your prize which will be sent to you in the next few weeks. Thank you for supporting MiNDFOOD.
repost: hi guys another week for competitions.com.au weekly contest, caption this image for your chance to win $50, entries open until 28th of August 2015.
I know exactly! mattyclark. that's it I need a new email address. I won't be discouraged. Perhaps I should just edit my age lol. I hope we all win something soon..... I must have entered 10 competitions in the past 2 days. Is that good or bad?
Hi tinman249, it happens to us all at some stage, great when your winning but hard work when your not. I'm not sure how long you've been comping but entering as many as you can, (of what you want to win), will help depending on how much time you want to spend. Sometimes (like now) I cut right down, clean out files and emails, take a semi break and use the time to think up some answers to use for later. I've only ever done this twice but I end up feeling more organised and a whole lot more chirpy. Lots and lots of luck!
Another win that was a surprise to me! Pays to check websites...hmmm. Yay...
My thank you message sent today. And we just made homemade pizzas last night. Could have done with that pizza cutter too! Lol

Awesome! I've found three prizes I didn't know I'd won, just by going back and checking pages. Not all of them reply to your comment or let you know. Sneaky. Well done!
That's just nuts! .......Well, chocolate as well...... lol I don't enter those comps - my two are allergic to nuts - practically the spectrum of nuts. EpiPens on-hand wherever we/they go. I so miss satay!!!!!!! :(
I love chocolate, so this is a win for me! Husband loves nuts, and chocolate but not together, ha, so none for him! Sorry about the allergies.@toxicgherkin
Skulking in the shadows, granddad laughed his head off, he knew his grandsons were simple, but he never thought they'd actually believe his tales of what life was like in his day.
Granddad watched proudly as Dermot and Buster took his advice and went fishing for dinner. Meanwhile, Mrs Brown could be heard from the kitchen window yelling "Feckin' eedjits!"
Another two posho corporate tickets to AFL on Saturday night which I'm thrilled about, because I won some a couple of weeks ago for the MCG and had a BLAST!!! SO! .... finally this weekend, is how our other one was supposed to go, but hubby got sick, and couldn't go. (all prizes) - Limo ride on Saturday from our place to Crown Casino (2 hours away), Gold Class tickets and food and drink package at Crown, then we'll leave there and head straight to Etihad Stadium. In a super nice twist of fate, the limo company gave us a 'complimentary upgrade' and are now also picking us up in Melbourne on Sunday and bringing us home again. You don't get a much more awesome weekend than that! Cannot wait! Oh, and I won a $50 free bet at Crown, so if I choose wisely and bet right, I may also come home with 100 bazillion dollars! In which case, I'll shout you all an ice cream! WOOHOO!!
Thanks guys! Yes, really looking forward to it. I will experience what it's like to be rich (for two days) lol. haha @toxic. Yes, I don't think the casino does those lolol!
Thanks all! Had an AWESOME weekend, and we were both rather amused that we were actually doing all this flash stuff .... for free! lol. To top the weekend off, as we were filling in an hour at Crown, waiting for our driver to arrive to take us home, I put $5 in a pokie machine and won back all the money we'd spent on food, drinks and shopping, ($500) so it really WAS a free weekend lol.
Won a prize pack for my friend and I in the Friends 4 Eva comp on fb, when they said I would be getting a sample pack for each of us I didn't realise they were full size samples. Can't wait to catch up with my friend to take over her prize.
Hi guys, I wonder if someone may be able to message a Co about comp winners. Comp ended 31st May and I have messaged 3 times and they keep saying the winner will be announced soon, the last message being about 3 weeks ago. It was a really big prize and I don't trust when winners aren't announced, even if it's not me I would just like to know they actually did pick someone. I don't want to message again in case they blacklist me :(
Thanks a million :) I am an agent and they said a winner would be announced through the "normal channels" so I have been keeping an eye on all the newsletters, their website and FB and nothing.
Don't you hate it when ........ you've recently won a major prize from a website, with which you are extremely thrilled, but then they run yet another comp, and that prize is also AWESOME, but you know deep down, that even if you do have the best entry, they probably won't pick you because you won their last one. Or is that just me? Anyone else got any 'I hate it when's? ..........
First of all congrats on the win - second of all what was the website so I know to enter lol I do the same thing, if I have won something from someone I don't normally enter off them again as I think that I wont have very good chances of winning a second prize from the same company (although I have never won anything major.....yet lol)
Yeah, I entered a comp the other day from a site I'd won some tickets from then I thought why did I just do that? I think it's really hard to win twice in a short time. Would be interesting to see if anyone has though! :)
I won a Samsung phone from a company once and then the next comp they ran was to win a MacBook! I still entered and had one of the best entries (in my own opinion!) that I've ever come up with and answered the question really well and creatively but I didn't win. They took longer than normal to announce the winner so I told myself they were probably arguing between themselves whether it's acceptable to award a prize to me again 😁 Though I'm sure someone else just had a much better entry lol. I'm actually not that full of myself! More recently I won the Slideliner tickets to the Bledisloe which was the major prize but now I'm not likely to win the minor prize of the $6999 TV! Which seems like a pretty major prize to me
And 'I hate it when' the terms and conditions say the winner will be announced on their page on a certain date and then that date comes and goes. Put me out of my misery already! Even if I haven't won I still want to know the judging has been done and a winner chosen
I hate it when I get an email that has 'Congratulations' in the description and my heart skips a beat, but then goes on..."to the winner of our competition. Go to ........to see if it is you". If it was me, the email would have said "Congratulations you have won".
Haha. I agree with all of the above. I recently won 2 (minor) prizes from the same company on Facebook. Both were 25WOL but the comps were running concurrently so I didn't know I had won the first one when I entered the second.
I've won two prizes from the same site within weeks of each other. Who cares if you've won before? The prize goes to the best entry, not the second-best. The idea of 'fairness' is not part of the Terms and Conditions, so it shouldn't enter your mind (unless you like to give the even better prizes to someone else, lol).
Hahahahaha @ these answers! Wow! I completely agree with them all! @Jrob71 - just this morning, I had an email with 'Congratulations' as the subject. I thought here we go again .... more misleading junk mail ..... and I HAD won an outdoor BBQ light! lol divergent, I guess that makes sense. I might have a crack anyway then :-)
I've though of another... I hate it when the advertising says "just enter you details/sign up for your chance to win:, then when you've given them the info they say "Step 2. Now share, answer, vote, do a backflip...). When I can't comply I'm then stuck with an unwanted newsletter subscription and no chance of winning.
It just happened. I filled out my details signing up to the newsletter. Then a survey. Then was told I had to share with a friend to complete entry (and by the way, you are not entered unless they also sign up). Think I'll start reading Ts and Cs.
@Jrob71 Yessssssssssss I HATE those too! 'Simple one step entry', so you fill it in, and then there's 465 'would you like to be contacted by .....' questions. I just close the screen and tell them out loud to shove it lol and yes I'm picky with what I enter that requires sharing. I don't want to become one of 'those, that bombards everyone else on my Facebook and email with things I want to win
Interesting thought though. . . What would you do if you won 60 million? I'd quit work, travel the world and spend MONTHS in each country and set up funds to help the homeless and help save the environment, every bit counts, oh and help family of course!
