Hidden inside a smartphone is the never-before-seen bustling city of Textopolis, home of all the emoji’s that live in our keyboards. Within this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller, How to Train Your Dragon, Big Hero 6) who is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to be ‘normal’, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend, Hi-5 (James Corden, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Trolls) and the notorious code breaker, Jailbreak (Faris).
Together, these unlikely heroes embark on an epic ‘app-venture’ throughout the apps of the phone to try and find the code to make Gene ‘meh’. But when a fire wall impedes their journey, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.
