Who can enter the competition?

The competition is open to all residents of Australia, except for employees of Special Broadcasting Services Corporation (SBS), associated companies, agencies, and their immediate families.

When can participants enter the competition?

The competition period starts on Monday, 8 May 2023, at 10:00 am (AEST) and ends on Thursday, 1 June 2023, at 11:59 pm (AEST). Entries will only be accepted during this promotional period.

How can participants enter the competition?

Participants must follow the directions on SBS Food, fill in their details including name, email, and address, and agree to be automatically signed up for the SBS Food newsletter.

What is the prize that participants can win?

The prize consists of one copy of Yasmin Newman's cookbook, "Under Coconut Skies," valued at AUD$55 (RRP) inclusive of GST. There are a total of 10 prizes, making the total prize pool valued at AUD$550 (RRP) inclusive of GST.

What is the total worth of the prize?

The total worth of the prize is AUD$550 (RRP) inclusive of GST.

How many entries are allowed per person?

Entries are limited to one per person. The use of any automated software or other means to enter repeatedly is prohibited.

What happens if an entry is incomplete or incomprehensible?

Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

What happens if a prize item is unavailable?

In the event that any prize item is unavailable, SBS reserves the right to substitute a different prize item of equal or greater value, subject to approval in accordance with state regulations.

How will winners be notified?

The prize draw will take place at SBS Food on Tuesday, 6 June 2023 (AEST). All winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the end of the competition and will be published on SBS Food no later than 30 days after the prize draw.

What happens if a prize is unclaimed?

If a prize is unclaimed, an unclaimed prize draw will take place three months after the initial draw. Winners of unclaimed prizes will be notified by email within 7 days of the unclaimed prize draw and their names will be published on SBS Food no later than 30 days after the redraw.

Can prizes be exchanged for cash?

Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Who is responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred from entering the competition?

SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury incurred from entering the competition or in connection with taking up the prize.

When will prizes be delivered to the winners?

Prizes will be delivered to the winners within one month of the winner being selected, subject to clause 16.

What happens if the competition is affected by technical issues or other causes beyond SBS's control?

If the competition is not capable of running as planned due to technical issues, tampering, fraud, or other causes beyond SBS's control, SBS reserves the right to disqualify individuals who tamper with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion, subject to the approval of gaming authorities.
