TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.
2. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Air New Zealand (the “Promoter), its employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
3. Conditions of Entry - How to Enter:
Participants must either
a) visit www.airnewzealand.com.au/competition and answer the stated questions OR
b) enter via a ‘Mother’s Day’ Promotion Facebook post that asks the same questions.
4. Each eligible person may enter the competition once only and all duplicate entries will be removed with the first entry remaining valid.
5. Promotion commences 00:05am AEST Wednesday, 9th May 2017 and closes 11:59pm AEST Saturday, 13th May 2017 (the “Promotional Period”). Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.
6. The winner of the Promotion will be selected according to the skill of their answer on Sunday May 14th 2017 by Air New Zealand at Air New Zealand Ltd, Level 12, 5-7 Macquarie Street Sydney NSW 2000. Attempts will be made to notify the three winners by Facebook Post, email or Facebook Messenger at the email address or Facebook Profile provided at the time of the promotion entry. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 5pm AEDT Monday, May 15 2017, then an alternate Prize Winner will be selected and announced on Tuesday May 16 by 5pm and will have until May 22 to claim the prize. And onwards until the winner is selected. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Each of the three winners will receive the following Prize, each valued at up to (but not necessarily valued at) $3000 AUD: Return Premium Economy class airfares for two people flying on Air New Zealand aircraft from any Air New Zealand Australia port to Queenstown, New Zealand, plus 2 nights accommodation at The Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa. The Winner may nominate anyone to travel with them and take up the prize.
The approximate total maximum retail value (ARV) is subject to change based on current market conditions at time of prize fulfilment and time of travel. Any difference between the ARV and actual value, if any, will not be awarded. Black-out periods apply even if the ARV is not exceeded at the time of booking.
8. Prize must be commenced and completed by 1 December 2017. Winners must confirm their travel dates within 30 days of acceptance of prize. Travel dates are not changeable, without the Prize winner incurring the relevant costs to change the date.
9. Travel is not permitted to commence from any origin point outside of Australia. Stopovers or stopovers within transit are not permitted. Prize winners must travel together on the same flights in both directions. Prize is non-transferable once the original companion is named, exchangeable or redeemable for cash and is available on Air New Zealand operated services only. Seats are limited and are subject to availability. Travel during Australian or New Zealand Public or School Holidays, or large events, is not permitted.
10. The winner is responsible for all costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included in the prize (as stated in this clause 7), including (where applicable) additional Accommodation, Transfers, Visas, transport, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals. The winner is also responsible for all necessary travel documents, including valid passports, travel visas and insurance.
11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
13. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s Conditions of Carriage, to view visit www.airnz.com.au Prize travel will not be eligible to accrue Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air New Zealand’s Airpoints™ Programme or any other carriers’ frequent flyer schemes.
14. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this promotion. Entries into this promotion will be stored only in the Air New Zealand booking database.
15. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered.
16. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s details and photographs for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant.
