The promoter is Auto & General Services Pty Ltd (ABN 61 003 617 909), AFSL 241 411 (operating under the brand Budget Direct) of Level 13, Toowong Tower, 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong 4066 (Promoter) on behalf of the insurer, Auto & General Insurance Company Ltd (ABN 42 111 586 353) (Insurer).
These Terms and Conditions apply to the promotion, “End of Fur-Nancial Year” PETstock Gift Voucher Competition. Customers will receive entries into the competition when they complete the online entry form on the Budget Direct website, obtain a new Pet Insurance quote from Budget Direct and/or purchase a new Budget Direct Pet Insurance policy (see Eligibility and Participation section) (Promotion).
Information on how to enter and mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other published material, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
The Promotion commences on 12.01am (AEST) on Tuesday, 1 June 2021 and ends at 11.59pm (AEST) on Wednesday 30 June 2021 (Promotion Period).
Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter is offering:
Four (4) $500 PETstock Gift Cards
(Total prize pool $2,000).
Entry into the Promotion and any offer of Budget Direct Insurance is subject to the Insurer deeming that the risk is acceptable in accordance with its Underwriting Criteria. Before purchasing a policy, consider if the product is right for you by reading the Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide.
Eligibility and Participation
Customers must meet the following criteria to participate in the Promotion (Eligible Entrant):
be 18 years or over and a permanent resident of Australia, or have resided in Australia continuously for six months or more on a temporary work visa at the time of participating in the Promotion; and
not be an officer or employee of the Promoter or Insurer, its related entities or agents and service providers directly associated with the conduct of the Promotion, or their immediate family; and
during the Promotion Period:
complete the online competition entry form on the Budget Direct website: www.budgetdirect.com.au/landingpages/pet-promo-june-21; or
obtain a quote for a new Budget Direct branded Pet Insurance policy through Budget Direct’s website or over the phone by calling 1800 931 664 (Eligible Budget Direct Quote); or
purchase a new Budget Direct branded Pet Insurance policy through Budget Direct’s website or over the phone by calling 1800 931 664 (Eligible Budget Direct Policy) and ensure the Eligible Budget Direct Policy remains active and valid for a period not less than 21 days from the purchase date of the policy (Cooling-Off Period); and
provide a valid email address.
Eligible Entrants will be awarded a maximum of:
one (1) entry into the Promotion for completing the online entry form. Only one entry will be awarded for the completion of the entry form in each Prize Period listed in clause 13. Additional entries will not be awarded for multiple form completions in any one Prize Period. Additional entries will be awarded for form completions in each Prize Period. The maximum number of entries that will be awarded for form completions is four (4).
five (5) entries into the Promotion for an Eligible Budget Direct Quote. Only five entries will be awarded for the completion of an Eligible Budget Direct Quote completed during the Promotion Period. Additional entries will not be awarded for multiple quotes regardless of which Prize Period the Quote was completed in. The maximum number of entries that will be awarded for quote completions is five (5).
ten (10) entries into the Promotion per Eligible Budget Direct Policy purchased during the Promotion Period. Additional entries will be awarded for multiple Eligible Budget Direct Policy purchases.
If an Eligible Budget Direct Policy is cancelled during the Cooling-Off Period then the Eligible Entrant will be awarded five (5) entries into the Promotion only.
Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter.
Any Eligible Entrant who provides incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information, or submits an Entry that infringes any rights of any third party, or contravenes any law or is otherwise objectionable will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
The Promoter may request the Eligible Entrant produce appropriate photo identification and other documentation to confirm, to the Promoter’s satisfaction, the entrant’s eligibility to enter the Promotion and the validity of their entry, failing which all entries of that entrant will be deemed invalid.
Draw and Prizes
A total of four (4) Weekly Prize draws will take place at 10:30am (AEST) on the Draw Dates outlined below at the Promoter’s Head Office at Level 13, Toowong Tower, 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong QLD 4066. Each Weekly Prize winner will receive a $500 PETstock Gift card (Eligible Winner).
Entries into each Weekly Prize Draw will open at 12.01am on the start date and finish at 11.59pm on the end date of each Prize Period. For the avoidance of doubt, entries in each Weekly Prize Draw will not be entered into subsequent Weekly Prize Draws.

The total maximum prize pool for the Promotion is $2,000. Each Eligible Entrant is only eligible to be awarded one prize irrespective of the number of Eligible Budget Direct Policies purchased during the Promotion Period, excluding Eligible Entrants from South Australia who are eligible to win multiple prizes based on the number of entries submitted.
The Eligible Winners will be notified via their nominated email address within two (2) business days of the applicable Draw Date. The Eligible Winner’s names’ will be published on the terms and conditions page of the Promoter’s website at www.budgetdirect.com.au/terms-conditions/pet-500voucher-competition.html within twenty-one (21) days of the applicable prize draw and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than twenty-eight (28) days. All reasonable steps will be taken by the Promoter to notify the Eligible Winners.
The Promoter may draw five (5) additional reserve entries on each Draw Date and record them (in order) in case of an invalid entry or the entrant is ineligible to accept the prize. In the event of an invalid entry or an ineligible entrant, or if the entrant declines to accept a prize, the prize will be awarded to the first reserve entry drawn. If a prize cannot be awarded to an entrant drawn, the Promoter will continue this process until the prize is awarded. If after this process, a prize has still not been awarded, or if an entrant drawn cannot be notified, the Promoter will hold an unclaimed prize draw in accordance with Clause 18.
A prize will be deemed unclaimed if the Promoter is not reasonably able to contact the Eligible Winner within three (3) months and one (1) day of the Draw Date via the contact details provided at the time of completing the competition entry form, Eligible Budget Direct Quote or purchasing the Eligible Budget Direct Policy.
An Unclaimed Prize Draw will be held in order to distribute any prizes that remain unclaimed, at the location in clause 12, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory Legislation, at 10:00AM (AEST) on 5 October 2021.
Any Unclaimed Prize Draw winner(s) will be notified via their nominated email address, within two (2) business days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw or by 8 October 2021. Each Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner’s name will be published on the terms and conditions page of the Promoter’s website at www.budgetdirect.com.au/terms-conditions/pet-500voucher-competition.html on 13 October 2021, and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than twenty-eight (28) days. All reasonable steps will be taken to notify the winners of the Unclaimed Prize Draw.
Privacy Statement and Marketing Consent
The Promoter is committed to protecting your Personal Information and agrees to be bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Promoter’s privacy policy is available on the website www.budgetdirect.com.au and further details of how the Promoter will collect, store, use and disclose personal information can be found there.
By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge that a further primary purpose for collection of the entrant’s Personal Information is to contact the entrant in the future with information about the Promoter, including special offers, market research or to provide marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages (SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), IM (Instant Messaging) and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future.
The Promoter will never sell an entrant’s Personal Information to other companies, however the Promoter may share an entrant’s Personal Information with its Australian and overseas related companies, promotional partners, servants, employees, agents and trusted third parties who may contact the entrant for their legitimate commercial purposes. By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge and agree that the Promoter and any applicable third parties may use their Personal Information in the manner set out in this condition.
The Eligible Entrant agrees that, in the event they are an Eligible Winner, the Promoter may use their contact details for the purpose of facilitating the conduct of the Promotion and awarding any prize. The Eligible Entrant will participate in all reasonable promotional activities in relation to the Promotion, as requested by the Promoter and its agents. This may include the Eligible Winner’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same), in any media worldwide for whatever purpose and without notification, remuneration or compensation, for marketing and or promotional purposes, for an indefinite period.
General
The Winners will receive their gift card in the mail to their nominated postal address within 30 calendar days of qualifying.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person from receiving the Gift Card if any of the following occurs:
If it suspects fraudulent activity; or
for a breach of these Terms and Conditions; or
if it decides the person has not acted in good faith; or
for any false or misleading conduct of any kind.
The Gift Card is not reloadable, transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If a gift card or receipt of it incurs a tax liability, the relevant recipient of the Gift Card is liable for payment of such tax.
The issuers of the Gift Cards are not a part of the Promoter. Gift Cards are issued by PETstock Pty. Ltd. The Promoter is not responsible for, or liable in respect of, products and services provided by PETstock Pty.Ltd.
The Promoter, its related entities, their officers and employers will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential which is suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion, including through the use or operation of any prize, except to the extent of any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including any applicable consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law).
If the Promotion cannot be conducted as intended for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize to the same value as an original prize, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory Legislation. The Promotor reserves the right or subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate, withdraw or cancel the Promotion at any time without notice.
The Promotor does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any tax liability associated, connected with or arising from the Promotion, unless specified within these Terms and Conditions.
In these Terms and Conditions:
"Australian Consumer Law" means Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). "Personal Information" means, for the purpose of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
