GROUPON’S GREAT ESCAPE COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
PROMOTER
The promoter is Groupon Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 147 834 151) of Level 17, 9 Hunter Street, Sydney NSW (“the Promoter”).
ELIGIBILITY
Entry to the competition is open to all Groupon customers over the age of 18 years residing in Australia (except residents of South Australia) with internet access, other than employees of The Promoter, their related companies, and their immediate families (“Eligible Entrants”).
ENTRY
The promotion commences on Tuesday 25 April 2017, 9.00am AEST and ends on Wednesday 17 May 2017, 11.59pm AEST (the “Promotion Period”).
To enter, Eligible Entrants must purchase a Great Escapes $0 competition deal through the Promoter during the Promotion Period.
One entry is permitted for every Great Escapes $0 competition deal purchased through the Promoter during the Promotion Period.
PRIZE & WINNING
4 winners will be selected by a random draw by a representative of the Promoter. The random prize draw will take place at 9.00am AEST on Thursday 18 May at Level 17, 9 Hunter Street, Sydney NSW. This decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will receive one of the following prizes (the “Prize”):
- 3 nights’ accommodation for two people at Pullman Melbourne On The Park including breakfast ($1,125 value)
- 3 nights’ accommodation for two people in a three-bedroom apartment at Silverwater Resort, Phillip Island ($1,237 value)
- 2 nights’ accommodation (mid-week stay) for two people in a Hunter Room at Hunter Valley Resort including Wine Theatre entry, vineyard inspection plus wine tasting, and breakfast ($558 value)
- 5 nights’ accommodation for two people in a deluxe suite at 5* The Sakala Resort Bali including breakfast, dinner and airport transfers, plus return flights (up to $3,686 in value)
The total Prize pool value is $6,606
The winners will be notified by email address provided no later than 5.00PM AEST on Friday 19 May 2017. The winners will have their details published on facebook.com/groupon.au no later than 5.00PM AEST on Monday 22 May 2017.
PRIZE CONDITIONS
PULLMAN MELBOURNE ON THE PARK
The Prize is valid for 6 months from announcement of winner. No extension to the validity date of this Prize will be permitted under any circumstances.
The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and will expire if not used by the dates referred to above. The winner must take the prize as described in these Terms and conditions, and the prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This clause does not set out to limit any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The 3 night’s accommodation at Pullman Melbourne On The Park including breakfast is valid for two people, one of whom must be the winner. The accommodation package must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. Reservations are essential for all activities and subject to availability.
All ancillary costs or accessories not expressly provided are the responsibility of the winner. The prize excludes travel insurance, operational costs, fuel, extra accommodation, additional meals, tipping, applicable taxes, surcharges, upgrades, personal costs and any other ancillary or incidental costs related to the prize or anything else not specifically mentioned, which is the responsibility of the winner and their chosen guest.
SILVERWATER RESORT
The Prize is valid until 3 April 2018. No extension to the validity date of this Prize will be permitted under any circumstances.
The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and will expire if not used by the dates referred to above. The winner must take the prize as described in these Terms and conditions, and the prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This clause does not set out to limit any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The 3 night’s accommodation in a three-bedroom apartment at Silverwater Resort, Phillip Island is for two people, one of whom must be the winner. The accommodation package must be booked in advance, no more than 30 days from arrival, and is subject to availability. Excludes high season dates, school holidays, public holiday weekends, and event weekends. Reservations are essential for all activities and subject to availability. Cannot be used with any other offers or promotions.
All ancillary costs or accessories not expressly provided are the responsibility of the winner. The prize excludes travel insurance, operational costs, fuel, extra accommodation, additional meals, tipping, applicable taxes, surcharges, upgrades, personal costs and any other ancillary or incidental costs related to the prize or anything else not specifically mentioned, which is the responsibility of the winner and their chosen guest.
HUNTER VALLEY RESORT
The Prize is valid until 31 August 2017. No extension to the validity date of this Prize will be permitted under any circumstances.
The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and will expire if not used by the dates referred to above. The winner must take the prize as described in these Terms and conditions, and the prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This clause does not set out to limit any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The 2 night’s accommodation in a Hunter Room at Hunter Valley Resort including breakfast is for two people, one of whom must be the winner. The accommodation package is a mid-week stay only, must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. Not valid on weekends or public holidays. Reservations are essential for all activities and subject to availability.
The prize includes Wine Theatre entry, vineyard inspection followed by wine tasting with the resort's Cellarmaster, and 2 beer tasting paddles and pizzas at the Matilda Bay Brewhouse on one day.

The Prize is valid for 6 months from announcement of winner. No extension to the validity date of this Prize will be permitted under any circumstances.
The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and will expire if not used by the dates referred to above. The winner must take the prize as described in these Terms and conditions, and the prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. This clause does not set out to limit any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The 5 night’s accommodation in a deluxe suite at 5* The Sakala Resort Bali including breakfast, dinner and airport transfers, plus return flights is for two people, one of whom must be the winner. The accommodation package must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. Reservations are essential for all activities and subject to availability.
The prize includes one dinner for two people, one multi-course poolside tapas experience for two at the Beach Club, daily cocktail or beer per adult, one one-hour massage per adult per stay, and one 30-minute spa treatment per adult per stay.
Flights depart Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and include carry on luggage up to 7kg with no meals included. Carrier will be a low cost airline similar to Jetstar.
Air surcharges may apply for travel during school holidays and peak travel periods. Flights are based on promotional airfares on various carriers and Full Service Malindo airfares Ex Brisbane. Promotional airfares are subject to availability at time of booking. Flights may not be direct and may not operate daily.

- Add from $349 per person Ex Brisbane; from $399 per person Ex Perth, Sydney and Melbourne; and from $449 per person Ex Adelaide for travel in the following period: 23 Dec 2017-5 Jan 2018

GENERAL
If for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter this competition is not capable of running as planned and the administration of this competition is affected, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
The Promoter expressly reserves the right to resolve any discrepancies, disputes or otherwise unforeseen circumstances as the Promoter deems fit and the Promoter’s decision will be final and binding upon every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter expressly reserves the right to change the Terms and conditions of the competition at any time.
The Promoter collects a person’s information to include the person in this competition. Use of personal information is governed by the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at https://www.groupon.com.au/privacy. The winner in this competition agrees that their identity may be disclosed in winner announcements and promotional material.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or loss of profit (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in the competition and/or taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. In accepting the prize, the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales. All entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
