Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years of age and over who suffer from sensitive teeth.
Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
To enter, each entrant must, during the Entry Period:
visit www.colgatefoodwonderland.com.au;
fully complete the online entry form, including full name, telephone number, email address, state;
answer the following question: How have your sensitive teeth limited you from doing something you enjoy? (“Story”); and
upload a photograph of your best Colgate smile that captures your Story.
Limit applies of one entry per household. Each photograph must feature the entrant but may feature other people as well. Photographs which do not feature the entrant will be deemed invalid.
Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. Entries received after 29 May 2017 will not be accepted.
The competition commences at 00.01 AEST on 10/05/17 and closes at 23.59 AEST on 29/05/17 (“Entry Period”).
This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the Winner. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges from Professional Public Relations (PPR) and Colgate-Palmolive. Judging will take place at 118 Victoria Road, Rozelle NSW 2039.
There will be 2 judging rounds:
The first round of judging will take place at 15:00 AEST on 30 May 2017. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on how creative and interesting their Story is.
The best 20 entries (“Shortlisted Finalists”), as determined by the judges will be contacted by PPR on 30 May 2017 and will be required to answer the following questions:
How long have you suffered from sensitive teeth?What foods have you missed out on because of your sensitive teeth?Have your sensitive teeth made you miss out on anything else in your life – such as social events or special occasions?What have you done to manage your sensitive tooth pain? (together, the “Audition Questions”)
If a Shortlisted Finalist cannot be contacted by telephone by 2 June 2017, the Shortlisted Finalist will forfeit their opportunity to win a prize and their position as a Shortlisted Finalist will be awarded to the next best entry (as determined by the judged). The Promoter will not be liable for a Shortlisted Finalist who cannot be contacted within this time period and therefore forfeits their opportunity to win a prize and no correspondence will be entered into.
The second round of judging will take place during the period between 30 May 2017 and 2 June 2017. Each Shortlisted Finalist’s responses to the Audition Questions will be judged individually on their merits based on how their answers demonstrate how sensitive teeth impacted their lives. The best 8 Shortlisted Finalist’s, as determined by the judges will receive a prize (“Winners”). There will be 8 Winners in total.
The judges’ decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into.
The Winners will be notified by telephone and email on or by 5 June 2017. The names of the prize Winners will be published on www.colgatefoodwonderland.com.au on 6 June 2017. Winners will receive 1 x 110g/110ml Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief from the Promoter by 9 June 2017 to use in the 2 weeks leading up to the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show on 23 June 2017.
Entrants that upload a photograph in accordance with clause 3, must adhere to the following conditions:
by submitting a photograph, entrants agree to the photograph being made available for public viewing;
any person depicted in a photograph uploaded must be decently dressed and presented;
all photographs are subject to the approval of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to vet all entries prior to them going live on the website and reserves the right to remove any entries at any time in its absolute discretion. However, the Promoter is not responsible for any photographs uploaded to the website and visitors to the site view it at their own risk;
entrants must own the copyright in the photograph uploaded or be entitled and have permission to use the photograph in the manner contemplated by these terms, including use of the photograph for promotional purposes in accordance with clause 17; and
If an entrant uploads a photograph of a child, the entrant must be the parent or legal guardian of the child depicted in the photograph and must have the permission of all other parents or legal guardians of the child and any other children pictured to submit the photograph in accordance with these terms.
Before the prize is awarded, the Winners must sign a separate agreement, agreeing to use Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief (provided by the Promoter) in the 2 weeks leading up to the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show on 23 June 2017 and agreeing to participate in publicity and promotional activities in relation to the Promoter, including:
Photography and filming while in attendance at the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show
Filming a video interview responding to questions in relation to tooth sensitivity and Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief;
Photography and filming while trying different foods at the food stalls in the Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief Food Wonderland Activation at the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, image and/or voice (including in the photographs, film and other content generated in relation to the activities described in above) in the event that they are a Winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. If requested by the Promoter, the entrant agrees to sign any further documentation required by the Promoter to give effect to this arrangement.
The total RRP value of the prize is up to $2,657 (depending on the residential address of the Winner and the date and point of departure), which includes:
If the Winner lives outside New South Wales, 2 return economy flights for the Winner and their guest from the Winner’s capital city to Sydney on 22 June 2017 and returning on 24 June 2017, to the maximum value of $1,377, depending on the point of departure. There will be no cash or other equivalent for this element of the prize for a Winner outside NSW;
2 nights’ twin-share accommodation in the Sydney CBD (min 4-star hotel) for the Winner and their guest on the nights of 22 June 2017 and 23 June 2017 to a maximum value of $800;
transfers from Sydney airport to hotel (arrival) and hotel to Sydney airport (for return flight) for the Winner and their guest to a maximum value of $100 each way (total RRP up to $200); and
2 VIP passes to attend the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show on Friday 23 June 2017. RRP $140 per ticket ($280 in total).
There are 8 prizes to be won (total RRP up to $21,256 depending on the residential address of the Winner and the date and point of departure).
All other ancillary costs including but not limited to: insurance, taxes (excluding GST), meals, drinks, in-room charges and any and all other expenses which may be incurred as a consequence of receiving a price are the responsibility of the Winner
All travel must occur on the dates set out in clause 9 above. If Winners are based in New South Wales, domestic flights will not form part of their prize. The Promoter will contact the Winners to arrange travel bookings and delivery of prizes. All travel is subject to availability at all times. All travel bookings must be booked 7 days prior to the respective event. The Winner and their chosen guest must travel on the same flight at the same time. The airport transfer can only be arranged to/from the airport and the hotel and does not include additional stops. The Winners will be responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once bookings have been confirmed and ticketed, where such amendment fees are incurred due to amendments requested by the Winners. The Winners acknowledge and agree that they may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.
Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the competition.
If any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of Winners and any other information from entrants relevant to entry into or participation in this competition. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this competition.
The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the third party prize suppliers, including Talk2 Media & Events, L�p Pty Ltd, the airline carrier and hotel. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained by any Winner and any other person sharing the prize with the Winner as a result of the third party prize suppliers or otherwise as a result of the winner accepting and/or using a prize (even if caused by negligence), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
Before the prize is awarded, the Winner and any other person(s) sharing the prize with the Winner may be required to sign an agreement to release the Promoter from any liability arising from the use or participation in the prize.
Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. Further, entrants agree that the Promoter has an unrestricted, irrevocable, transferable, divisible right and license to use and modify their entry for the purposes of the Promoter’s business including for promotional purposes without the payment of any further fee or compensation. If requested by the Promoter, the entrant agrees to sign any further documentation required by the Promoter to give effect to this arrangement. To the extent permitted by law, entrants unconditionally and irrevocably consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any moral rights in their entry.
Entries remain the property of the Promoter. Details from entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this competition (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the competition) and for promotional purposes surrounding this competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant. Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information and obtain a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy by contacting the Promoter on (02) 9229 5600 during office hours.
