BNE MAGAZINE’S PROMOTION:
“WIN 2 RETURN FLIGHTS TO Shanghai, China”
Conditions of Entry
1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Promoter is Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited (ABN 54 076 870 650) of
11 The Circuit, Brisbane Airport, Queensland 4008, Australia.
3. Entry is only open to Queensland residents aged 18 years old or over.
4. Employees, contractors, consultants and their immediate families of the Promoter,
China Eastern Airlines and agencies associated with this promotion, are ineligible to
enter.
5. Entry is conditional on providing personal information. The Promoter collects and
deals with personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and
its privacy policy available at http://www.bne.com.au/privacy-policy.
6. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
7. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
Duration of promotion
8. The promotion commences at 10:00am AEST on Wednesday, 2 November 2016 and
closes at 11:59pm AEST on Monday, 16 January 2017 (Promotion Period).
How to enter
9. To enter, individuals must, during the Promotion Period, complete the online entry
form at http://competitions.bne.com.au (Promotion Page), provide a valid email
address and agree to the Terms and Conditions on the Promotion Page.
10. An individual may enter this promotion only once except where that individual
qualifies for a Bonus Entry in accordance with clause 11 below, in which case, that
individual may have multiple entries.
11. An individual will earn one Bonus Entry into the promotion when they share the
promotion on Facebook or by email, in each case using the process on the
Promotion Page. Only one Bonus Entry per day can be earned.
Prize details
12. The first valid entry drawn will win 2 x return economy class flights from Brisbane to
Shanghai, flying China Eastern Airlines valued at up to AU $3,846 (Prize).
13. The Prize is not transferable and cannot be taken as cash. Any ancillary or further
costs associated with prize redemption are not included and must be met by the
Prize winner. Any unused balance of the Prize will not be redeemable as cash.
14. Prize is limited to airfares and does not include taxes and other charges.
15. This original winning letter (“Prize Letter”) must be presented when redeeming the
Prize. Tickets will be issued upon proper redemption of the Prize.
16. China Eastern Airlines will not take any responsibility for lost Prize Letters and we will
not replace Prize Letters if it is lost, stolen, destroyed or for any other reason.
17. Seats are not confirmed and shall be on standby status only.

18. Travel must be booked before 7/04/2017 and redeemed no later than one year from
the tickets’ issuing date.
19. The changing of passenger name or any other flight details is prohibited once the
tickets have been issued. China Eastern Airlines reserve the right to make changes
to the ticket and/or flights in accordance with their Terms of Carriage.
20. All other Terms of Carriage and our fare rules apply.
21. The value of the Prize is correct at time of publication and may fluctuate depending
on date of departure. Any change to the Prize value is not the Promoter’s
responsibility.

Prize draw and notification of winner
23. The Prize will be drawn at 10.00am AEST on Wednesday, 18 January 2017 at the
offices of XCOM Media, situated at Unit 1/15 Lamington Street, New Farm,
Queensland 4005.
24. The winner will be drawn at random from all entries submitted.
25. The Prize winner will be notified by email within 2 business days of the draw and their
details will be published in Brisbane Airport’s BNE Magazine.
26. The Promoter will require the winner to provide proof of age, identity and residential
address, in order to claim the Prize. Proof of age, identification and residential
address considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. If the
winner cannot provide suitable proof where the Promoter has made reasonable
efforts to obtain it, then in the Promoter’s sole discretion the Prize will be forfeit and
no substitute will be offered and the Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw.
Unclaimed prize draw
27. If the Prize remains unclaimed by 9am AEST on 31 January 2017, a re-draw will be
conducted at 10.00am AEST on Wednesday, 1 Feb 2017 at the same place as the
original draw subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner will be
notified by email within 2 business days of the re-draw and their details will be
published in Brisbane Airport’s BNE Magazine.
Liability
28. The Promoter makes no representation or warranty about the fitness for purpose or
merchantable quality of the Prize.
29. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to
limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under
the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied
warranties under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001
(Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia
(Non-Excludable Guarantees). Except for any liability that cannot by law be
excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its
respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including
negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of
opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising out of
the promotion or use of the Prize.

30. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable
Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is
not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal
injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect,
special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or
equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft,
unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is
late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the
Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any
variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax
liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) taking, use of and/or participation in the
Prize.
31. As a condition of accepting the Prize, the winner (and his/her companion or the
companion’s parent/legal guardian if they are a minor) must sign any legal
documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in
their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity
form.
General
32. The Promoter reserves the right to discontinue the promotion at any time and at its
sole discretion may cancel, terminate, suspend or modify the promotion and/or, if
necessary, to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as an original
Prize. Any change to or cancellation of this promotion, for whatever reason, is subject
to any written direction from a regulatory authority.
33. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic
means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will
render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
34. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
35. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in
the event they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period without
remuneration for the Promoter’s promotional and publicity purposes.
36. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and
carry out its marketing activities and may, for this purpose, disclose such information
to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers,
prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is
conditional on providing this information. Entrants should direct any request to opt
out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter.
37. The laws of Queensland apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law.
