Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
All times in the terms and conditions the time refers to AEDT.
The promotion commences at 9.01am AEDT on Tuesday 14th April 2015 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on Tuesday 21st April 2015.
Eligibility
Entry is open to any Australian residents aged 18 years or older (Entrants). The directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, related companies of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion and their related companies are ineligible to enter.
Prize
The prize includes:
A $10,000 shopping spree at stores featured in The Block. The lucky winner will be accompanied by a Domain representative who will also capture photos of the shopping day. By entering this competition you are agreeing for Domain to take photos and feature the imagery on the Domain website and social media channels.
The shopping day will take place in the winner’s state. The prize will not include accommodation and flights.
Total prize pool is valued at $10,000.
Entry
To enter the following steps must be followed:

Enter your first name, last name, post code and email address and answer the Question “Guess the sold price of the winning apartment on The Block” and click ‘ENTER’. The entry must be expressed in Australian dollars.
As a condition of entry, all entrants are automatically signed up to receive the weekly Domain newsletter and other communications from Domain. Entrants can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email.
Prize winner
The prize winner will be the person who “guesses closest to the amount of the sold price of the winning apartment on The Block Triple Threat 2015”. If there are 2 or more answers the same or are equally as close to the sold price of the winning apartment on The Block, the person who entered first will be declared the winner.
Notification of winner:
Winner for the prize will be notified by email. If their email address is incorrect or not their own, the prize will be revoked. For any reason the prize is not available as advised, the prize or an alternative of equal or more value will be provided as soon as possible. The Promoter’s decision on the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Winner will be notified on 30th April, 2015 via email. The winner will have until 11:59 PM Tuesday 5th May 2015 to respond to this email. If they fail to respond to the email before 11:59 PM Tuesday 5th May 2015 the prize will go to the first runner up from the competition. This would be either the entry that was the second closest to “guessing closest to the amount of the sold price of the winning apartment on The Block Triple Threat 2015” or the person that put the closest entry in the second fastest. The runner up will be notified via email on Wednesday 6th May, 2015, they will have until 11:59 PM Tuesday 12th May 2015. If the runner up fails to respond to the email by 11:59 AM Tuesday 12th May 2015 they forfeit the prize. The same runner up process will be continued weekly until an entry responds.
The winner will meet up with a Domain representative to be determined by Domain to go on the $10,000 shopping spree. They will have a choice of shops as featured on The Block they can spend the money at. During this trip the winner will have their photo taken and an article will be written about the shopping spree. This article and the images will be published on Domain.com.au.
An entry and any copyright subsisting in an entry irrevocably becomes, at time of entry, the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with this promotion is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Promoter collects personal information about an Entrant to include the Entrant in the promotion and, where appropriate, award the prize. If the personal information requested is not provided, the Entrant cannot participate in the promotion and is deemed ineligible. By entering this promotion, Entrants agree to the Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsor using and disclosing the Entrant’s personal information for any matter connected to or incidental to this promotion.
As a condition of entering this promotion, each Entrant consents, in the event they are the winner, to the Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsor using the Entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in any media for an unlimited period without further notification, remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting, publicising or marketing this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products or services manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsor.
Any questions, comments or complaints about this promotion must be directed to the Promoter. Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. Contact details entered incorrectly via the Application by an Entrant will deem an Entry invalid.
Costs associated with accessing the Domain Page, Domain Website, and/or Application remain an Entrant’s responsibility and may vary depending on the Internet service provider used. The Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsor using accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings or any variation in prize values. The prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion. The use of any automated entry software or any mechanical, electronic or other means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies and/or the Prize Sponsor excludes all liability (including negligence) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, for any loss, damage or direct or indirect injury suffered or sustained as a result of this promotion, or taking a prize or any component of a prize in connection with or arising out of this promotion. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) technical malfunctions, delays or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to this promotion and any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion as a result of any technical malfunctions, delays or failures; (ii) theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or damaged entries, prize claims or the prize; and/or (iv) acceptance and/or use of the prize.
If the prize or element of the prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter’s and/or the Prize Sponsor’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu. If for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsor using this promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter and/or the Prize Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as the original prize, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory legislation.
