Entry is free and open to Australian residents, currently living in Australia, aged 18 years or older and who complete, in full, the entry form available at www.dometicfollowthesun.com.au and/or the Dometic Waeco Australia Facebook page, during the promotional period. Employees and immediate families of employees of the Promoter and suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. At least one individual within the couple or family must hold a valid drivers? licence. Entry Requirements
The promotion entry phase commences on the 1 February 2014 at 8.00 am (AEST, Australian Eastern Standard Time) and closes the 11 May 2014 at midnight (AEST, Australian Eastern Standard Time). Entries received by the Promoter after midnight (AEST, Australian Eastern Standard Time) 11 May 2014, will not be eligible to enter. No responsibility is accepted for lost, late or misdirected entries. Entrants can only enter in their own names. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of residency at the stated address and identification for verification (to the Promoter's satisfaction in its discretion) before issuing the prize. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries containing and/or depicting illegal, sexually explicit or morally or racially offensive content will be ineligible to win. The PPromoter's decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. Entrants may enter once only for the duration of the competition. Only one registration per couple or family is valid. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to use the content of entries for the purpose of future promotions. Entrants must be available and willing to travel between the dates of 1 August 2014 to 31 October 2014 in accordance with the Promoter?s suggested travel route. Entrants must also be available and willing to travel to the 2014 QLD Caravan, Camping & Touring Holiday Show 4?10 June 2014. Winners must also be willing to provide their vehicle to specified locations, in accordance with the fit-out installation as organized by the Promoter. Entrants must be part of a couple or family and be willing to conduct ?Happy Hours? during the tour component of the campaign. Entrants must be the registered owner and driver of their own caravan, offroad camper van or Motorhome, and be willing to have it fitted out with Dometic Australia Pty Ltd products. Entrants must be willing to report on the touring component of the campaign in form of Facebook posts, blogs and videos on the official Dometic Waeco sites and via emails, and adhere to the communications schedule provided. Entrants understand that a contract will be drawn up between themselves and the Promoter and must be willing to abide by the terms and conditions within. Entrants must be willing to promote the Promoter, its associated entities and their acquired brands in a professional manner, as agreed upon by the winners and the Promoter. The prize must be taken in accordance with these terms and conditions, otherwise it will be deemed to be forfeited by the winner. The top 20 Finalists will be chosen by the Promoter?s representatives between 12 to 18 May 2014 at 1 John Duncan Court, Varsity Lakes, QLD. The top 20 Finalists will be notified in writing and/or by phone on 19 May 2014. They will be required to submit their second entry, and ensure each question is complete, by 26 May 2014 12 midnight EST. Three winning entrants will be chosen out of the top 20 Finalists, and will be notified by the Promoter on 2 June 2014 in writing or by phone. The Promoter?s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result. The three couples/families will be required to attend the 2014 QLD Caravan, Camping & Touring Holiday Show, on the 10 June 2014 as part of the competition promotions. Their flights and accommodation will be paid for by Dometic Australia Pty Ltd. The winners (first name, last initial and city/state of residence) will be published on the Dometic Follow the Sun website - www.dometicfollowthesun.com.au and the Dometic Waeco Australia Facebook page. ?Happy Hour? means a gathering which is required to be hosted by each winning couple for approx. 26 nights during the tour/travel dates as specified. The winning couples/family are responsible for providing food and drinks based on instructions by the Promoter. The Promoter will cover these costs up to $90 per Happy Hour, depending on the number of people attending. ?Happy Hours? are shared by fellow caravan park occupiers/travelers. Each winner is required to showcase their Dometic Australia Pty Ltd branded products and take part in promotional activities based on instructions by the Promoter. Prizes
The chosen winners will win one of the three Dometic Australia Pty Ltd prize packages. Each prize package contains a travel/tour component and a product fit-out component. The total prize is valued at up to $35,000 (based on Recommended Retail Prices including GST).The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The available prizes may change over the course of the promotion. The prizes, or any unused portion of the prizes, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The travel componentfor each package is valued at up to $10,000 per couple or family (based on Recommended Retail Prices including GST). It includes the associated travel costs per couple which covers fuel up to $900 (based on 700kms) and accommodation (up to $60 per night) throughout the competition and for every night a ?Happy Hour? is held. ?Happy Hour? entertainment costs (up to $90 per Happy Hour) and flights and accommodation related to the winners? appearance at the 2014 QLD Caravan, Camping & Touring Holiday Show. It is at the discretion of the Promoter to vary the value of prizes, as total value is based on estimates and depend on winners? location, air-fares and accommodation details at the time. Fuel and Happy Hour values are based on average estimates and are also reserved for variation. The Promoter will initially deposit $1000 into the bank accounts of the three winners, which they can use for their expenses, relating to the above mentioned. The winning couples must keep all tax invoices for the associated travel costs listed above and send to the Promoter by mail once per week. If the associated travel costs are reimbursable under these terms and conditions, the Promoter will reimburse the winners for such costs by depositing further funds directly into their bank account until either the trip is over or the maximum amount of $10,000 (including GST) has been reached. Any funds provided by the Promoter in excess of the legitimate travel costs of the couple must be repaid by the couple to the Promoter at the end of the trip. The product fit-out for each package per winner is valued at up to $25,000 (based on Recommended Retail Prices including GST). This includes the installation of and a fit-out of Dometic & WAECO branded products and/or products sold by the Promoter. It is at the discretion of the Promoter to vary the value of prizes, depending on the requirements of the winners and their recreational vehicles. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury or property damage suffered or sustained in connection with the installation of and fit-out of the products, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no warranty as to the appropriateness of the Dometic & WAECO branded products. The Promoter will not be liable for any damage, wear and tear and mileage in respect of vehicles owned and used by the winning couples in the competition. The prize does NOT include additional costs as indicated below.
Accommodation for the duration of the Follow The Sun competition, will be paid by Dometic Australia Pty Ltd, capped at a maximum of $60 inclusive of GST per night. Spending money, any airfares other than those approved in advance by the Promoter, meals, travel taxes, travel insurance, transport to and from departure point and all other ancillary costs, as well as obtaining any of these, are the responsibility of the winner. Under no circumstances will the Promoter be required to reimburse the winning couple in respect of forgone employment or related income. Trips booked must be guaranteed to depart upon the set date, with all travelers required to depart at the same time from their designated location. Travel Insurance is required to be held by all winners, at the winners? expense. Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee, at the cost of the winner. All components of the prize must be taken together or otherwise are deemed to be forfeited. Travel is subject to the pre-determined route and black-out periods may apply. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any Promoter or third party discounts or special offers. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to either provide an alternative travel destination to the same value as the original prize or, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter may award the prize to a different entrant if the prize remains unclaimed by a notified winner by 2 June 2014. In the event of unclaimed prize a new winner will be notified by email and the winner's name and locality will be published on www.dometicfollowthesun.com.au and the Dometic Waeco Australia Facebook page. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures. Tax implications may arise from the receipt or use of a prize. Independent legal advice should be sought. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. The Promoter also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Conditions of Entry, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the promotion or which may damage the reputation of the Promoter. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects contact information and personal information about entrants in order to contact them about the promotion and where appropriate, award prizes, and may also use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with special offers via any medium including mail and commercial electronic messages. If you do not provide the information, you cannot participate. The Promoter may publish or cause to be published the winner's name, and locality in any media as required under relevant legislation. You consent to such use of your information by the Promoter and its associated entities. The Promoter owns all intellectual property rights in any material created by or with the winning couples? assistance, including, but are not limited to, copyright in photos taken with the winners and their occupants during their trips. You agree that the Promoter may use such material for any promotional purpose it sees fit and may re-use the material in the future. You agree to execute all documents and to complete all tasks required by the Promoter to give effect to the Promoter?s intellectual property rights. Participants consent to the Promoter using the winners? names, likeness, images and voices in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured by the Promoter.
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
