Win a $5000 bedroom makeover IKEA

IKEA are on a mission to help Australians get ready for life by transforming their bedrooms.
Our Interior Design team will collaborate with 10 lucky people on a $5000 makeover to solve their bedroom frustrations and create the perfect retreat.
Each winners’ bedroom will be re-created at their local IKEA store and their story will be filmed, photographed and shared to inspire other Australians to transform their bedrooms.
Plus, we’ll show 90 runners-up how even small changes can make a big difference with an affordable home furnishing product solution for one of their bedroom frustrations.
*Terms and conditions apply. Submissions close 11.59pm AESDT, Sunday 2 December, 2018 and open to residents of Australia who are 18 years or older who live within a 20km radius of an IKEA store.
What to expect if you are one of the 10 lucky major prize winners:
· An in-home visit from the IKEA Interior Design team, to understand your needs and co-create your dream bedroom
· $5000 in IKEA home furnishing products for the bedroom of your choice
· We will recreate your bedroom in your local IKEA store, and host a party to celebrate the makeover
· We will film and photograph the experience, interviewing you and capturing the makeover transformation from before to after
· We will share the footage and photos in your local IKEA store, on social media, websites (our and our partners), maybe even TV
What to expect if you are one of the 90 runners-up:
· An in-home visit from the IKEA Interior Design team, to understand your needs and solve your single biggest home furnishing frustration in the bedroom
· A single IKEA home furnishing product for the bedroom of your choice, to the value of $250
· Product conveniently delivered to your home
· We would like you to take a photo of before and after so we can share it with our Facebook group: IKEA Inspiration Hub
IKEA + you $5,000 IKEA Bedroom Makeover
Terms & Conditions:
1. The competition will open 10:00AM (AEDT) Monday 19 November 2018 and closes
11.59pm (AEDT) Sunday 02nd December 2018.
2. The competition is open to Australian permanent residents.
3. Entrants must be aged 18 and over.
4. There will be one major prize winner in each of our store locations. We have 10 store
locations across Australia. The total number of major prize winners will be 10.
5. Entrants must live within a 20km radius from an IKEA store in Australia.
6. There will be 9 runner up winners for each of our store locations. We have 10 store
locations across Australia. The total number of runner up winners will be 90.
7. For a chance to be a valid entry, entrants must upload a single image and up to 50
words that answers the competition question ‘Tell us about your bedroom. What do
you love and what frustrates you?” submitted via a form on the competition entry
form page hosted on the IKEA.com/au/en website.
8. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner (s). The winning
entries will be chosen at the sole discretion of IKEA based on the creativity/quality of
the submission, and correct entry process (as above). The winner(s) will also need to
meet the selection criteria.
9. IKEA will shortlist potential winners for an interview phase via Skype. The interview
period will run Monday 03th December – Sunday 9
th December 2018.
10. Selected finalists will need to be available from 12 December – 21 December 2018 for
IKEA to conduct a home visit. The home visit will comprise a visit from the IKEA Interior
Design team to understand your needs. The team will need to photograph your space
and meet with your family members.
11. The winner (s) will be notified by phone Wednesday 9th January 2019.
12. After three failed attempts to make phone contact by Wednesday 16th January 2019,
winner (s) will be deemed to have failed to accept the prize
13. If the winner fails to accept the prize or is unable to meet the conditions of entry,
another winner will be selected at the discretion of the IKEA team.
14. The winner (s) must be available to take part in the prize/experience between Monday
14th January 2019 - Sunday 17th March 2019. If the winner is unable to attend on those
dates, another winner will be selected at the discretion of the IKEA team.
15. The major prize winner (s) 10 in total will receive:
- Exclusive, personal in-home bedroom Interior Design consultation with a team
of IKEA interior designers
- Opportunity to co-create with interior designers to solve their bedroom
frustrations
- IKEA home furnishings (only) to the value of $5,000 for the bedroom of your
choice
- Your bedroom will be replicated in your local IKEA store
- Your experience will be photographed and filmed to be used on IKEA digital
channels both online and in-store and may be used for marketing purposes.
This includes before and after images and interviews with you and your
family.
16. The runner up winner (s) 90 in total will receive:
- An in-home visit from the IKEA Interior Design to understand your needs and
solve your single biggest home furnishing frustration in the bedroom.
- A single IKEA home furnishing product for the bedroom of your choice to the
value of $250.
- You agree to take a before and after photograph of your bedroom and solution
to be submitted to IKEA for publishing on the IKEA.AU Facebook page

17. Prize is not transferable/exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
18. Employees, family and friends of employees of the promoter, and its agencies
associated with the competition, are ineligible to enter.
19. All winners will be required to sign a legal release in a form as determined by IKEA PTY
LTD.
20. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees that IKEA Pty Ltd can use their name,
photographs, video footage and story for publicity and promotional purposes, without
compensation, and that IKEA Pty Ltd will own copyright in any such content and in all
material incorporating the photographs
21. IKEA Pty Ltd reserves the right to verify the validity of claims and to disqualify any
claimant who tampers with the claim process or who submits a claim that is not in
accordance with these terms and conditions. All claims will be subject to the IKEA Pty
Ltd validation and verification checks
22. IKEA Pty Ltd reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary due
to circumstances outside its control
23. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the
decision.
The Promoter
1. The Promoter is IKEA Pty Limited, Tempe NSW 2044. A.B.N. 84 006 270 757.
2. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the promotion at any time during the offer
period.
3. All claims will be subject to the Promoter’s validation and verification checks. Promoter’s
decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered
(including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which
is suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this offer, except for any liability
which cannot be excluded by law.
