TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Instructions on ‘how to enter’ and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. To enter, individuals must log on to www.gourmettraveller.com.au/gt50 and follow the prompts to the competition page and complete the entry form including: nominate the prize you would like to win, full name, mailing address, current email address and daytime telephone number and submit the entry as instructed.
4. The Promotion commences on 24th October 2016 and will close at 11.59pm (AEDST) on 27th November 2016. The draw will take place at Bauer Media, 54 Park Street, Sydney NSW 2000 on 12th December 2016 at 11:00am (AEDST). The Winner/s will be notified by e-mail using contact details provided in their entry. The winner/s name will also be published on www.gourmettraveller.com.au on 16th December 2016 for 28 days from this date.
5. Multiple entries permitted, subject to each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements. Only one prize can be nominated in each entry. Only one prize will be awarded per person, per prize draw, excluding SA and ACT residents.
6. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of any entrant, the entry in question will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address).Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
7. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
8. All entries received during the entire Promotional Period will be divided into their individual prize draw (categories) and drawn separately. The first relevant number of valid entries drawn from all entries received within that prize category will win the specified prizes as follows:

• The MCA and AGNSW shop and dining vouchers: These vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of issue and are not required to be redeemed together with accommodation and flights. • The Sofitel Accommodation component: is valid for stays between 5 November 2016 – 5 February 2017. Reservations are subject to availability and a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required to arrange this element of the prize. Any incidentals such as room service, mini bar and telephone calls are not included and should be settled by the prize winner upon departure. No changes allowed once the prize has been booked.
• Domestic Flights component: In the event the winner is a NSW resident, the flight component of the prize will not be included. No cash or alternative will be awarded in lieu of this component of the prize. Flights are subject to availability and require a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice for bookings to be made. Flights must be booked between 5 November 2016 – 5 February 2017 and block out travel period of 20 December 2016 – 9 January 2017 applies. The winner and their companion must be over the age of 21 years when redeeming the prize. Travel voucher / holiday terms:
9. Redemption of prize is subject to booking and availability at time of booking.
10. Holiday prizes are a single event holiday and cannot be separated into different holiday vacations.
11. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any loss or damage suffered in the event that the One Direction Concert in New York is postponed, cancelled, rescheduled or relocated for any reason whatsoever.
12. The winner (and their companion) are responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
13. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses (including travel to and from the departure point) become the responsibility of the winner.
14. A valid passport is required for all international journeys. All passports must be valid for six (6) months prior to departure. It the responsibility of the winner and their travel companions to ensure they have all required travel documentation (including but not limited to passports & visas) as required for travel to the destination point. All costs associated with obtaining this travel documentation is the responsibility of the winner.
15. The Two (2) flights must be utilized at the same time, for the same travel dates, to the same destination.
16. Transport to and from Departure point including but not limited to additional Domestic airfares if required, any additional meals, any extra sightseeing or activities, any additional accommodation, personal spending money, and all other ancillary costs, as well as obtaining any of these, are the responsibility of the winner and their travel companions. Prize also excludes medical expenses, items of a personal nature, beverages, optional tours not outlined, laundry, telephone calls, additional nights, room upgrades or other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize other than those specified. These costs and expenses are the responsibility of the winner. Any extension to the duration of the prize is at the winner’s sole expense and subject to availability at the time of booking. For the removal of doubt, taxes for domestic/international travel are included in the prize winning domestic/international airfares provided by the Promoter.
17. All prize items are valued inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in item values. The components of the Prize may alter for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control. The Prize is not, nor any component thereof, transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. No components of the Prize can be exchanged for other travel or accommodation at other destinations. In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
18. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner (and any traveling companions) must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements
19. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be requested to present their credit card upon arrival at any hotel to cover all incidentals they may incur including their stay at that hotel.
20. Prize must be taken as offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not exchangeable or cannot be redeemed as cash. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer. The prize is valued in Australian dollars. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prize winner is advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize. In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher / ticket / pass/ letter, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher / ticket / pass/ letter. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher / ticket / pass/ letter that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. Redemption of prize at a venue is subject to the standard rules and regulations of that venue/s.
21. Redemption of the voucher prizes are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming a voucher are not included. Any unused balance of the voucher will not be awarded as cash. In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher / ticket / pass/ letter, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher / ticket / pass/ letter. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher / ticket / pass/ letter that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. Redemption of prize (including but not limited to voucher prizes) is subject to the standard rules and regulations of that prize supplier.
Special conditions:
22. In the event, the prize maybe electrical appliances: For the removal of doubt, the Prize does not include:
• any gas, electricity, water or associated costs incurred in before, during or after the claiming, installing and using of the Prize;
• any other ancillary or incidental expenses incurred in connection with the prize, whether before, during or after installation;
• any insurances or taxes;
• any construction, electrical, tiling or plumbing services;
• any ongoing maintenance costs;
• any costs in excess of the allocated budget per component of the prize or
any other ancillary costs associated with redeeming this prize.
The Promoters make no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes; and accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to prizes in transit.

26. The prize will be delivered to the nominated address of the Prize winner. Delivery of the Prize is valid to any state and/or city in Australia.
General:
27. If necessary, an unclaimed prize draw will be held on 13th March 2017 at the same time and place as the original draws in order to distribute any unclaimed. Any winner from this draw will be notified by e-mail using contact details provided in their membership/ survey. The winners name will also be published on www.gourmettraveller.com.au on 20th March 2017 for 28 days from this date.
28. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner (and their companions) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
29. In acceptance of the prize, the Winner acknowledges that they may incur ongoing costs associated with the prize which are the entire responsibility of the winner.
