Day one on this Egyptian adventure takes you to Cairo in the north, where you will meet with your fellow travel talk travellers before getting to know this fascinating city. After an early start, you visit the iconic Giza Plateau and have a chance to marvel over the world-famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycrenos. The afternoon is then left open to individual exploration, before you board a bus to Luxor that ventures to your luxury hotel romantically located on the banks of the river Nile.

The next day you move on to discover the incredible Valley of the Kings – a sacred site where tombs were once constructed for the Pharaohs and powerful nobles of the ancient empire. See tombs carved intricately into the desert rocks and observe the detail and splendid carvings that reflect the magnitude and might of this kingdom. After a busy day of site-seeing, Aswan is the next stop for your overnight stay.
The next day your group explore Aswan, one of the major cities built on the Nile, famous for its architecturally impressive dam and the Philea Temple that sits on the island in the heart of the Nile. Its various shrines and sanctuaries celebrate the deities involved in the myth of Isis and Osiris. Your next stop on the tour involves a fantastic sailing day along the Nile, where you can marvel at the shoreline from a totally different perspective and ponder the power of one of the greatest rivers on the earth.

After your day on the Nile, you head to Edfu to visit the largest and best-preserved temple in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the falcon God Horus and was built over a 180-year period form 237 BC to 57 BC. The next temple on this tour is Komombo Temple which crosses over the Ptolemaic and Roman periods as well as the majestic Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. It’s then onwards to Cairo where you jump aboard the city tour where you discover the true essence of this cosmopolitan city. Explore the Citadel of Saladin, Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Hanging Church, the city’s many museums and the world-famous Kahn El Khalili bazaar before heading back to the airport.
