WHO CAN ENTER?To be eligible to enter the competition you must:
reside in Victoria;
be over 18 years of age; and
have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which for the current approved COVID-19 vaccines, means two vaccination doses, unless you have a valid exemption. Please be advised that the vaccinations must be undertaken on the advice of a health practitioner. The 'advice of a health practitioner' means that the health practitioner has consulted with the prospective recipient and advised them of their suitability to receive a vaccination having regard to the individual's health circumstances .
The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of vaccination from any competition winner in a form it deems reasonably necessary to validate the eligibility of the entrant.
Employees, directors or officers of the Promoter, any companies or agencies associated with this competition, or their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
All entrants should be aware that there are various requirements relating to departure from Melbourne, arrival in San Francisco and upon re-entry into Australia. A summary of these requirements is set out in these competition terms. However, it is the winning entrant’s responsibility to fully inform themselves of these requirements and obtain up to date advice from the appropriate authorities.
HOW TO ENTER
The competition period commences at 06:00am AEDT on 5 June 2022 and ends at 11:59pm AEDT on 26 June 2022 (competition period), and the Promoter reserves the right to extend the competition period or bring forward the competition end date at any time (subject to regulatory approval).
To enter the competition, you must complete an online entry via www.melbourneairport.com.au/win during the competition period.
To qualify for entry, you must enter all relevant details on the competition landing page above.
No late entries will be accepted. Incomplete or incoherent entries will be invalid. Entries into this competition are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter, not the time at which they are sent.
A limit of one entry to the competition per person applies.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, employer, and residency status/location) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. In the event a winning entrant cannot provide proof of eligibility to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.

Two (2) return Business Class tickets with United Airlines from Melbourne Airport to San Francisco Airport. Taxes will be required to be paid by the winners. Airport lounge access is included at Melbourne Airport and San Francisco Airport.
Accommodation at the following three destinations for two people for 3 nights each (9 nights in total).

No additional items (F&B/Activities/Resort Credit) will be included in the Tenaya portion of the package
The winner and their guest must travel together.
Travel Insurance is not included in the prize and we strongly recommend it is taken by the winner before travel.
Prize values referred to above are as at the publishing date of these terms and conditions and are subject to the market exchange rate and taxes.
The prize does not include any associated costs; transfers, car hire, public transport, food, and drink, spending money, or any other personal expenses of and incidental to your use of the prize and/or participation in the competition.
The cost of domestic travel (if any) to reach Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine is the winning entrant’s responsibility.
The winning entrant is responsible for ensuring that they, and any person travelling with them, are available to travel and hold valid passports, and any travel documents required.
Availability of the flight component of this prize cannot be guaranteed during peak periods including but not limited to the Christmas period, school holidays or special event periods.
All travel must be booked within 12 months from the date the winner is notified that they have won the prize.
The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist in transit or at any destination.
Accommodation blackout periods apply.
If for any reason the winner does not travel (or redeem any part of the prize) after making a booking, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
The prize will not be transferable to another person.
No part of a prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other prize.
Airline tickets are for Business Class travel only. Flight reservations must be made in advance and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
The prize is not negotiable and is not eligible for mileage accrual for any Frequent Flyer Programs.
If a prize is not available for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another item of equal or greater value if the winner agrees in writing and subject to any approvals from regulatory authorities. If the winner does not agree despite reasonable attempts by the Promoter to reach an agreement and the prize is not available due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may substitute the prize with another item or items determined by the Promoter to be of equal or higher value.
Additional terms and conditions apply to the respective components of the prize provided by the competition partners and are available directly from them. These terms and conditions may include rules and restrictions about the use and availability of fares, products and services, and conditions of carriage and may seek to limit or exclude the relevant partner’s liability to you for death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage.
Use of the prize will be subject to any additional standard conditions of United Airlines.

United Airlines accepts no liability or responsibility in connection with any booking, product or supply from any of the competition partners.
The prize may not be used in combination with any other ongoing offers/ promotions/ contests/ discounts.
The prize is not for sale.
Lost prize Award Certificates/Tickets will not be replaced.
SELECTION OF WINNER
The winner will be chosen by a random draw which will take place on Monday 27 June 2022 at 1:00pm at Level 2, Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine, Victoria 3043.
The first valid entry drawn will win the prize as described below.
The winner will be personally notified via phone call and in writing by way of email to the email address and phone number provided in their entry. In order to redeem the prize, a winning entrant must fulfil the eligibility criteria set out in these terms and conditions to the satisfaction of the Promoter.
The name of the winners will be published at www.melbourneairport.com.au/win and will remain on the website for at least 21 days.
The results of the draw will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw. This is a game of chance.
The Promoter must distribute the prize to the winner within 14 days of the winner accepting the prize or such later time as is reasonably required given the circumstances.
SECOND CHANCE DRAW
If a winner does not respond within 7 days of being notified that they have won the competition, that winner is not readily identified and reasonable efforts have been made by the Promoter to identify the winner were unsuccessful, they will automatically forfeit their prize and the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner through a second chance draw.
If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on Tuesday, 5 July 2022 at the same time and place as the first draw. The first valid entry drawn will win any unclaimed prize.
The results of any second chance draw will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw.
The winner will be personally notified and the name of the winner will be published on the website www.melbourneairport.com.au/win.
The Promoter must distribute the prize/s to the winner/s within 14 days of the winner accepting the prize or such later time as is reasonably required given the circumstances.
PROMOTION AND MARKETING
By entering the competition, the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material, all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed, filmed for broadcast and photographed, as the Promoter may require without remuneration. The winner agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use any such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner (and their companion) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
Each winner also consents to the use and publication of their name, image and any other details provided by the winner in any marketing material without any further reference or payment to the winner.

Melbourne - Departure requirements
All departure requirements and information need to be checked off as per the advice of the Department of Home Affairs. These include but are not limited to:
The Australian Government recommends passengers departing Australia be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and travel with proof of vaccination status documentation.
When exiting Australia, you must provide?proof of your vaccination status?if requested by an Australian official. If you?can’t?be vaccinated for medical reasons,?you may need to provide proof of medical exemption.
Check the current travel, visa and COVID-19 advice for all the countries you are transiting and travelling to. Each country has different requirements for entry, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements and testing.
Please refer to the relevant airline partner’s website to ensure that you meet their travel requirements prior to travel.
The airline partner can refuse to allow you on board if:
you’re showing symptoms of COVID-19
you don’t meet their vaccination requirements
you don’t meet the requirements of your destination
It’s your responsibility to check well ahead of time what requirements you need to meet for your overseas travel.
Your destination, transit location and transport operators may have their own testing and vaccination requirements.

US - Entry requirements
The US may deny boarding of any US-bound traveller, showing signs of illness. Expect enhanced screening procedures, including for domestic flights within the US. Information and advice is available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
All travellers aged 18 and over must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination to travel to the US by air.
Before boarding a flight to the United States, you are required to show a negative supervised RAT COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel. Test to be taken at your own expense. There is also an option for people who have documented recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days. Learn more about these requirements. Covid-19 RAT test is at your own expense.
Check US entry, transit and exit requirements. If you're visiting for less than 90 days, you may be eligible for the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) and be able to enter under the Visa Waiver Program. If you're not eligible, you'll need a visa. Each traveller, including children, must have their own ESTA and visa waiver, or visa. Visit https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov for more information.
When in US
It is recommended that you:
Get tested for current infection with a COVID-19 viral test 3-5 days after arrival.
Find a U.S. COVID-19 testing location near you.
Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms.
Follow all state, tribal, local and territorial recommendations or requirements after arrival.
Arrival requirements into Australia
Arrival requirements into Australia need to be checked off as per the advice of the Department of Home Affairs, these include but are not limited to:
Australian citizens and permanent residents do not need an individual travel exemption to travel to Australia.
You must declare your vaccination status in the Digital Passenger Declaration when travelling to Australia. You can start a DPD seven days before your flight, but you must submit it before you depart for Australia. Passengers who do not complete a DPD before departing may face unnecessary delays on arrival in Australia.
If you’re vaccinated, you must provide your proof of vaccination to airline staff at check-in. You may also be requested to present it to border officials on arrival in Australia.
If you were vaccinated in Australia, you can use your International COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
If you were vaccinated overseas and haven’t registered your vaccinations in the Australian Vaccination Register (AIR), you can use a foreign vaccination certificate. For more information see vaccination and testing.
If you can’t be vaccinated for medical reasons, you’ll need to provide proof that you can’t be vaccinated. Your proof must meet certain criteria.
Before you book your flight, check state and territory arrival requirements. Check all the states and territories you will transit and travel to. The requirements may change at short notice. You are responsible for complying with travel restrictions and requirements that apply to you. If you do not comply, you may face serious penalties, including imprisonment and significant fines.

You do not need to undertake a negative COVID-19 test before you travel to Australia.

DISCLAIMER
It is the winning entrant’s responsibility to ensure that they and their travel companion (if any) have the requisite visas, vaccinations, valid documentation (including but not limited to valid passports and visas) which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the winning entrant’s sole responsibility.
The winning entrant assumes all COVID-19 risks for themselves and their travelling guests. To the extent permitted by law, the winning entrant covenants not to sue the Promoter and shall fully indemnify the Promoter against any COVID-19 related claims. If the winning entrant is required to isolate pursuant to the U.S. Government’s guidelines they will be liable for any and all additional costs of isolation (including but not limited to, any additional costs for accommodation or hospital care).
STANDARD TERMS
The Promoter reserves the right to amend the competition and its terms and conditions at any time and for any reason, subject to regulatory approval, and will notify entrants of any such amendments as soon as reasonably practicable on www.melbourneairport.com.au/win. It is the entrant's responsibility to regularly check the competition landing page for any amendments.
In the case of an intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism and pandemics, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions at a time suitable to the Promoter, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports limit, exclude or modify the Promoter's liability in relation to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Non-Excludable Guarantees Liability).
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees Liability, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition including:
(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
(d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions;
(e) any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or
(f) use of the prize.
To the extent permitted by law including the Australian Consumer Law, if the competition is not capable of running as planned including by reason of technical failure, fraud or any cause beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may cancel or suspend the competition or invalidate any affected entries, subject to regulatory approval.

The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, collect personal information through the competition and use and disclose the information to conduct the promotion and for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages to the entrant and any other purpose set out in the Promoter's Privacy Policy. Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter. Personal information collected through the competition includes first name, last name, contact phone number, email address, postcode and date of birth. The Promoter may disclose personal information to subsidiary and related companies, third parties or regulatory bodies, including but not limited to agents, contractors and service providers for the purposes set out in this clause.
By participating in this competition, entrants release and hold harmless Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability associated with this competition. The Promoter and entrants acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram.
The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought.
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this competition. Any entrant disqualified under this clause is prohibited from any further participation in the competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
The laws of Victoria apply to this competition. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of Victoria.
