This promotion will run online and in-branch from 24th August – 5th October 2020. All customers hiring from our general hire range (excluding consumables and deliveries) will need to enter via the competition page, in order to go into the draw to win:

Who can enter:
1. The Competition is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over.
2. Employees and immediate families of Kennards Hire Pty Ltd (the Promoter) and associated agencies are not eligible to enter the Competition. Immediate family includes: spouse, ex-spouse, defacto spouse, child or step-child (including by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. By entering the Competition, you warrant that you meet the entry requirements and accept all conditions detailed in these Terms and Conditions.
4. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual deemed by the Promoter to be ineligible to enter the Competition, who has breached any of these Terms and Conditions or who has engaged in unlawful or improper misconduct compromising the fair and just running of the Competition.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry or individual entering the Competition at any time.
How to enter:
Commences 24th August at 8:00am AEDT and closes 5th October AEDT 11:59pm 2020. Prizes will be drawn on Tuesday 13th October 2020 at 2pm AEDT.
1 (one) entry per Hire Schedule Number is permitted when entering into the draw to win via the Competition page.
Entrants have the choice to select their below preferred prize when entering their details on the competition page. Entrants will have the option to choose multiple prizes when entering the competition:
1 x Dave Franklin Design consultation
1 x Bec Douros Design consultation
50 x $100 Block Shop Voucher
4. Multiple entries are permitted if hiring multiple times during the promotional period, with different Hire Schedule Numbers.
5. Kennards Hire reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice, subject to authorisation from relevant authorities.
The Prize:
1. The total Prize pool is valued $21,000 AUD. The Prize, or any portion of the Prize, is not transferrable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. No compensation will be offered if the winners are unable to accept the Prize as stated.
2. Additional costs and any other ancillary costs resulting from acceptance of the Prize that are not stated as inclusions are not included as part of the Prize and are the responsibility of the winner.
3. The Prize must be redeemed within six (6) months of the original draw date for Dave Franklin. And redeemed between November 2020 and April 2021 for Bec Douros.
4. Bec Douros prize (valued at $6,000) includes:
1x Skype consult with Bec

5. Dave Franklin prize (valued at $10,000) includes:
1x Skype consult with Dave or one of their Senior Landscape Architects to discuss the brief
Site assessment based on property details provided by prize winner.
Concept landscape plan for your property up to the size of 400m2 (Including design layout, elevation drawings, annotated planting design & schematic lighting design)
Indicative soft landscape planting details and general notes; and
Indicative surface and material finishes for the hard-scape areas of the site.
Image palettes with suggested plants, materials & landscape elements
Amendment/s to plan in accordance with Client feedback (within scope of original design brief)

LANDSCAPE CONCEPT DESIGN
Is the preparation of a Landscape Concept Plan in response to the clients’ brief for the following areas with the delivery of 1x Landscape Concept Plan.
FRONT GARDEN & PROPERTY ENTRANCE
• Landscape design to the front garden to suit both house design and surrounding landscapes, incorporating elements and features to suit the design brief
• Landscape elements such as fencing, privacy screening, gate/s, paving and outdoor furniture
• Accommodation of slope and levels, retaining walls as required
• Planting design & plant suggestions that provide for seasonal beauty, privacy and enhancement of features within the landscape design
• Image palettes for suggested plants & materials (as well as supplier list of equipment to get the job done)
• Indicative lighting plan
• Elevation drawing/s to assist visualisation of plan
REAR GARDEN & OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT
• Landscape design to the rear garden to suit both house design and surrounding landscape, incorporating elements and features to suit the design brief
• Landscape elements such as fencing, privacy screening, gate/s, paving and outdoor furniture
• An area to include (if required) in-built BBQ and bench seating, overhead arbor, outdoor kitchen and provision of space for outdoor dining table & chairs
• Accommodation of slope and levels, retaining walls as required
• Planting design & plant suggestions that provide for seasonal beauty, privacy and enhancement of features within the landscape design
• Image palettes for suggested plants & materials (as well as supplier list of equipment to get the job done)
• Indicative lighting plan
• Elevation drawing/s to assist visualisation of plan
Note: Kennards DIY competition prize is valued at $10,000 and is valid for 6 months from date of winner announcement. The winner will receive up to approx. 400m2 of design only. Winner may not receive both front and rear design if overall property exceeds 400m2. Additional design services to remainder of property will be available at Franklin Landscape & Design’s regular design fee rate. Additional T&Cs apply for exclusions & additional costs in accordance to Franklin Landscape & Design.
6. 50 x $100 The Block Shop Gift Vouchers (valued at $5,000) will also be drawn.

Kennards Hire reserves the right to post on social media platforms, website/landing pages and EDM’s with the talent & The Block logo as approved by Nine in Australia.
The Prize Draw and Judging Process
5. The Prize draw will take place at Trade Promotions and Lotteries Pty Ltd Level 2, 11 York Street Sydney NSW 2000, in the presence of an independent scrutineer on 13th October 2020 at 2:00 PM AEDT (the Draw Date).
6. The Promoter will draw (in the below order) all eligible entries and select the below based on the entries preferred prizes:
one (1) winner to receive the Dave Franklin prize
one (1) winner to receive the Bec Douros prize
fifty (50) entries for The Block Shop Vouchers
7. Determination of the Prize Winner shall be made by the Promoter at its sole discretion, and such determination shall be final and binding.
8. The Prize Winner(s) will be notified via email within 48 hours of the Draw Date. Upon acceptance of the Prize, the Prize Winner's name (Winners of Dave & Bec prize only) will be published on the Promoter’s Facebook on the Promoter’s social media profiles on Monday 19th October 2020. The Prize must be claimed by the Prize Winners within three months (90) days of being notified.
9. If the Prize Winners do not claim their Prize within three months (90) days of the Draw Date, the Prize will be forfeited and a redraw will be conducted in the presence of an independent scrutineer (if required) at Trade Promotions and Lotteries Pty Ltd Level 2, 11 York Street Sydney NSW on 13th January 2021 at 11:00 AM AEDT to determine a valid Prize Winner. Upon acceptance of the Prize, the unclaimed Prize Winner's name (Winners of Dave & Bec prize only) will be published on the Promoter’s Facebook on the Promoter’s social media profiles on 13th January 2021.
The new Prize Winner will be notified within two (2) days of the date of the redraw.

10. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Please note that third parties may also have terms and conditions that apply to the Prize. Prize Winners must review and agree to any terms and conditions provided by the third parties in order to redeem or participate in the Prize.
Liability and Release
1. Your entry into the Competition, confirms that you own all necessary rights to provide the intellectual property constituting your entry.
2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia.
3. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and/or Instagram and the Prize Winner fully releases Facebook and/or Instagram from any liability.
4. The Prize Winner may be required to enter into a deed of release in the form prescribed by the Promoter. The Prize Winner acknowledges and agrees that a failure to enter into this deed may result in the Prize being forfeited.
5. It is the winner’s responsibility to gain the appropriate approvals prior to completing any work to their house (owned or rented).
6. The winner indemnifies, and must defend and hold harmless, the Promoter and its employees, servants, agents and contractors, from and against all losses arising from a breach by the winners of any of these Terms and Conditions; any third party claim arising directly or indirectly from a breach by the winners of any of these Terms and Conditions; a negligent, wilful or otherwise wrongful act or omission of winners; fraudulent or dishonest acts or omissions by the winner; any breach by the winners of any applicable laws; any claim by any third party (including individuals, legal entities and governmental departments or agencies) arising directly or indirectly as a result of the winners accepting this prize; the death of, or personal injury to, any person or any damage to, or loss or destruction of, any real or tangible personal property, to the extent caused by any act or omission of the winners.

1. Any personal information submitted to the Promoters will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth). The Promoter may disclose personal information of entrants to suppliers and affiliates in order to administer or otherwise run the Competition.
2. Personal information collected during the Competition Period may be used for direct marketing purposes.
