WHO CAN ENTER?

Entry is open to all residents of Victoria except employees and immediate families of the Promoter and their associated companies and agencies. Immediate family includes the following: spouse, ex-spouse, defacto spouse, child or step child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step brother, step sister or first cousin.
Entrants under 18 years of age must obtain the prior permission of their parent or legal guardian in order to be able to enter. The Promoter may require any such entrant’s parent or legal guardian to sign a release at the Promoter’s discretion in which the parent or legal guardianaccepts responsibility for the acts and forbearances of the winner. The release will include the parent or legal guardian’s full name, address and telephone number. Failure to agree to the release and provide these details will invalidate the winner’s entitlement to the prize, subject to State and Territory legislation. If the competition winner is under 18 years of age, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
PROMOTIONAL PERIOD:
The competition commences on Saturday 3 January,2015 at 5:00am AEDT and concludes on Tuesday 27 January, 2015 at 5:00pm AEDT. Entries must be received by the Promoter prior to the competition close date and time.
HOW TO ENTER:
Entrants may enter the competition by logging onto www.heraldsun.com.au/competitions and registering their details including (but not limited to) full name, address, post code, telephone number, e-mail address and code-word / subscription number (if required) to complete their entry and the question “How many Lions will the new Lion Gorge exhibit be home to?” to complete their entry. The cost of accessing the promotional website will be dependent on the entrant’s individual Internet Service Provider.
PRIZES:
Individual prize value is up to $22,080.00 (including GST). Total prize pool value is up to $23,879.00 (including GST) as at 10.11.14.
a)Major Prize winner will receive;
i)1 x “South Africa Teenage Safari” family safari package for 2 adults and 2 children (minimum age of 11 yrs) to South Africa. One of three departure dates (26 Jul, 2 Aug or 16 Aug). Intrepid prize must be redeemed at least 60 days prior to departure tour date.Tour value $8,380.
ii)4 x return economy class tickets (2 adults, 2 children) Melbourne to Johannesburg, Fares can be utilised between 1 July 2015 and 1 September 2015. Holiday must be booked by the winner within 30 days of winner announcement. Value approximately $13,000.
iii)Travel insurance for two adults and two children for the designated travel period within South Africa. Value $300-$700.
b)Second Prize winner will receive a “Roar N Snore” experience at Melbourne Zoo for 2 adults and 2 children under 16 years old. The voucher will be valid for 12 months and an age restriction of minimum 5 years applies. Value $680.
c)15 x Runners Up will receive one family pass to the Melbourne Zoo for 2 adults and 2 children (under 16 years). The passes will be valid to 30 June 2015. Total value $1,119.
Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.

Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
