Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years or over who are existing Facebook or Instagram subscribers.
Employees of amaysim Australia Limited (being the “Promoter” of this competition) and their immediate families and agencies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter this competition.
To enter, participants must complete both of the following steps under the competition thread on the Promoter's Facebook or Instagram page:
Tag a Facebook or Instagram user in the comments of the Facebook or Instagram competition thread using their own personal account; and
Use #amaysimbiglove as a hashtag in the corresponding comment that is made under the competition thread.
The game of chance competition will commence at 12:30PM (Sydney time) Monday 01 February 2021 and closes at 11.59PM (Sydney time) Thursday 4 February 2021 (Entry Period).
Entries must be received by the Promotor during the Entry Period. Entries received after the Entry Period will not be considered for the competition.
This competition is a game of chance and the winner will be drawn randomly using the tool comment picker (https://commentpicker.com) which will select a random comment from the entry post.
The draw will take place at 10am (AEST) Friday 5 February 2021 at amaysim’s premises located at Level 6, 17-19 Bridge St, Sydney, NSW 2000.
This competition has only one winner, randomly drawn from all valid entries received during the Entry Period. The chosen winner will win:
a) Google Pixel 5 5G 128GB (RRP $999, colour based on availability); and
b) amaysim mobile plan: 13x standard renewals of amaysim’s UNLIMITED 30GB Mobile plan (RRP $390)
(together, the Prize).
Prize value is based on RRP at time of competition.
The Prize is not transferable and is not redeemable for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
The winning participant will be notified on Friday 5 February 2020 via Instagram private message or Facebook comment. Once notified, the winner must provide amaysim with their full name, postal address, email address and phone number within 5 days in order to receive the Prize (which amaysim will post out to the winner). Prize winner must be an existing amaysim mobile customer, or sign up for the relevant amaysim mobile service, in order to redeem the amaysim mobile service portion of the Prize.
amaysim’s UNLIMITED mobile plans come with unlimited standard national talk and text, are all for use in Australia. All plans are for or personal use only and not a broadband replacement. amaysim has long-expiry plans (6-month and 1-year auto-renew, respectively), short-expiry plans (7 days auto-renew) and all other plans automatically renew every 28 days. Participants warrant that:
their entry does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party; and
their entry does not contain any content that is sexually explicit, violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, profession or age group, profane or pornographic, is obscene or offensive or violates any law.
By entering this competition, participants grant the Promoter and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive license to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in the entry at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, the right to display and/or publish the winner’s name, and their entry or any part of the entry in whole or in part in any media, including on the amaysim community website, amaysim Facebook webpage, amaysim Twitter page, amaysim Instagram and amaysim YouTube channel. The participant acknowledges that they will not be entitled to any compensation for this continued use.
Entry details remain the property of the Promoter and to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter assumes no responsibility, and the participant releases the Promoter from responsibility, for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information and the Promotor shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of entering this competition, accepting and/or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of the winner and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this competition. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this competition.
In the event that a winner is disqualified or cannot be contacted as described in clause 11, the Promotor will select by random draw at 2pm (AEST) Monday 15 February 2021, an alternate winner to receive the Prize. The new winner will be notified via Instagram or Facebook on Monday 15 February 2021. If the Prize remains unclaimed by Monday 22 February 2021, a third redraw will be conducted at 2pm (AEST) Tuesday 23 February 2021. The new winner will be notified via Instagram on Tuesday 23 February 2021. Any redraws that take place will occur at Level 6, 17-19 Bridge St, Sydney, NSW 2000.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a participant or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition without liability to the participant.
Any personal information collected by this competition will be collected, disclosed and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, which is located here. By participating in the competition, participants accept the Promoter's privacy policy.
Any costs associated with entering the competition and assessing the website are the responsibility of the participant.
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Google, Instagram or Facebook. The participant is providing information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram.
