Win a Luxury Weekend Experience for 4

1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Promoter is the Sydney Opera House Trust, Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000. (ABN 69 712 101 035), (+612) 9250 7111.
3. Entry is open to residents of NSW only over the age of eighteen. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies and companies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter.
4. The competition commences at 9am, Monday 1 March 2021 Australian Eastern Daylight time (AEDT) and will close at 5pm, Monday 29 March 2021 AEDT.
5. You may only enter the competition once. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries. Multiple entries from the same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.
6. To enter the competition, you must enter your details and respond to the question ‘Tell us in 25 words or less, who you would like to share this experience with and why’ on the competition page on the Sydney Opera House website, and click ‘submit’ between 9am on 1 March – 5pm on 29 March 2021 (inclusive). By doing so, you will be subscribed to both the Sydney Opera House and MasterCard email databases.
7. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in selection of the winner. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges on Wednesday 31 March 2021 at Sydney Opera House based on the most original responses received as chosen by the judges. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. The total prize pool is valued at AU $11,870
There will be one major prize, which is valued at AU $11,095 in total and is comprised of the following:
a) 4 x tickets to an evening Forecourt concert on 10 April 2021 (value: N/A)
b) Luxury overnight experience for 4 people on 10 – 11 April 2021 as follows:
i. pick-up by yacht from a designated location on 10 April 2021 (location and time to be advised by the Promoter);
ii. overnight yacht stay with Sydney Harbour Exclusive luxury boat charter on 10 April 2021, moored in Sydney Harbour;
iii. private picnic-style dinner for 4 people prepared by Peter Gilmore of Bennelong, delivered to and served on the yacht on 10 April 2021;
iv.. light breakfast on board on 11 April 2021;
v. a cruise around Sydney Harbour on 11 April 2021
(Total value $10,000)
c) Pernod Ricard gift pack (Value $195)
d) 4 x tickets to a private Sydney Opera House Beyond the Stage Tour on 11 April 2021, including a leisurely brunch (Value $900)
End time on 11 April 2021 to be advised by the Promoter.
There will be 4 runner-up prizes as follows:
a) 2 x tickets to a select performance at Sydney Opera House to be advised by the Promoter (value: N/A) and 2 x complimentary flutes of G.H Mumm champagne at Theatre Bars
b) Dinner for two at Bennelong: Set three course menu and wine pairing (Value $400). Redeemable for 6 months from 10 April 2021.
c) 2 x tickets to the Sydney Opera House Beyond the Stage Tour (Value $180). Voucher valid for 6 months from 10 April 2021.
d) Pernod Ricard gift pack (Value $195).
9. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The winners will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website (www.sydneyoperahouse.com) on Thursday 1 April 2021. If, for any reason, a winner does not claim the prize or the contact details supplied by them were incorrect, the Promoter reserves the right to draw a second chance prize winner on Friday 2 April 2021, and that person will be the winner of that prize.
11. All components of the major prize must be used/redeemed on 10 – 11 April 2021 as scheduled by the Promoter (which schedule is subject to change at the Promoter’s discretion). The components of the major prize are not redeemable for cash or transferable between dates or times unless changed or rescheduled by the Promoter. Participants of the major prize must be over 18. The winner will be the hirer of the yacht, will be subject to and must comply with the terms and conditions of hire, and eligibility to participate in that experience is conditional on the winner entering into those terms and conditions. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or any element of the prize.
12. If a prize is performance tickets, they must be used on the date stipulated (or as may be changed or rescheduled by the Promoter) and are not redeemable for cash or transferable to any other person or transferable between dates or times. The winner of the runner-up select performance tickets prize will be advised of the performance, date and time by 10 April 2021. Tours will be part of the public schedule, and tours and dinner bookings are subject to availability.
13. The voucher prizes must be used within the time frame stipulated in these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with the voucher terms and conditions. If the prize is goods, the Promoter is not responsible for providing warranty as to performance of the prize or ongoing support for the prize. Prizes do not include any transportation to or from Sydney Opera House or to or from any pick-up / drop-off location if other than Sydney Opera House.
14. Prizes will be sent via email or standard post or courier to the address provided by the winner or if the prize is Sydney Opera House performance tickets and the performance is within 10 days from the close of the competition, Sydney Opera House tickets will be held for collection at the Sydney Opera House Box Office under the winner’s name. Sydney Opera House tickets must be collected from the Box Office no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance. Any ticket not collected 30 minutes prior to the performance will be released for sale.
15. The Promoter and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
16. If for any reason this promotion is cancelled or is not capable of running as planned, due to an intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, epidemic, any acts by any government or semi-government authority, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel any prize or element of a prize, or the competition, and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.
17. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take a prize or an element of a prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that prize or element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
18. The contact details you provide in entering this competition will be used by the Promoter to conduct the competition. By entering this promotion, you consent to the storage of your contact details on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products including contacting you via electronic messaging. Your name and contact details may also be shared with various third party organisations, including resident companies, presenting partners and our sponsors, who may contact you from time to time regarding promotions. Such organisations must comply with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and with strict conditions governing how personal information is to be handled including applicable privacy Laws. If you enter this competition, you agree your name and contact details will be shared with MasterCard, who may contact you in relation to their own promotions. You also agree that your name and contact details will be shared with Sydney Harbour Exclusive for the purposes of entering into terms of hire for the element of the major prize involving the yacht, and that Sydney Harbour Exclusive may contact you directly.
19. In case of an emergency the Promoter will use the contact details supplied by you when entering this competition.
