Win a Pet Friendly Holiday

The promoter is Auto & General Services Pty Ltd (ABN 61 003 617 909), AFSL 241 411 (operating under the brand Budget Direct) of Level 13, Toowong Tower, 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong 4066 (Promoter) on behalf of the insurer, Auto & General Insurance Company Ltd (ABN 42 111 586 353) (Insurer).
These Terms and Conditions apply to the promotion, “Win a Pet-Friendly Holiday” when customers obtain a new Pet Insurance quote from Budget Direct or purchase a new Budget Direct Pet Insurance policy (see Eligibility and Participation section) (Promotion).
Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other published material, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
The Promotion commences on 12.01am (AEST) on Wednesday, 7 April 2021 and ends at 10.00am (AEST) on Wednesday 5 May 2021 (Promotion Period).
Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter is offering:
First Prize (Eligible Winner)
Five (5) nights’ accommodation at the Eligible Winner’s choice of available Pet-Friendly accommodation at venues provided by View Retreats to the value of $4,000; and
$1,000 spending money which will be transferred via Electronic Funds Transfer to the Eligible Winner’s nominated bank account no less than 30 days prior to the confirmed booking date of the accommodation (total prize $5,000);
Five (5) Runners up Prizes (Eligible Runners Up)
Each Eligible Runner Up wins one (1) of five (5) Vet Products Direct Digital Gift Cards valued at $500.

Entry into the Promotion and any offer of Budget Direct Insurance is subject to the Insurer deeming that the risk is acceptable in accordance with its Underwriting Criteria. Before purchasing a policy, consider if the product is right for you by reading the Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide.
Eligibility and Participation
Customers must meet the following criteria to participate in the Promotion (Eligible Entrant):
be 18 years or over and a permanent resident of Australia, or have resided in Australia continuously for six months or more on a temporary work visa at the time of participating in the Promotion; and
not be an officer or employee of the Promoter or Insurer, its related entities or agents and service providers directly associated with the conduct of the Promotion, or their immediate family; and
during the Promotion Period:
obtain a quote for a new Budget Direct branded Pet Insurance policy through Budget Direct’s website or over the phone by calling 1800 931 664 (Eligible Budget Direct Quote); or
purchase a new Budget Direct branded Pet Insurance policy through Budget Direct’s website or over the phone by calling 1800 931 664 (Eligible Budget Direct Policy); and
provide a valid email address; and
ensure the Eligible Budget Direct Policy remains active and valid for a period not less than 21 days from the purchase date of the policy (Cooling-Off Period).
Eligible Entrants will be awarded a maximum of:
one (1) entry into the Promotion for an Eligible Budget Direct Quote. Only one entry will be awarded for the completion of an Eligible Budget Direct Quote. Additional entries will not be awarded for multiple quotes.
five (5) entries into the Promotion per Eligible Budget Direct Policy purchased during the Promotion Period. Additional entries will be awarded for multiple Eligible Budget Direct Policy purchases.
If an Eligible Budget Direct Policy is cancelled during the Cooling-Off Period then the Eligible Entrant will be awarded one (1) entry into the Promotion only.
Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter.
Any Eligible Entrant who provides incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information, or submits an Entry that infringes any rights of any third party, or contravenes any law or is otherwise objectionable will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
The Promoter may request the Eligible Entrant produce appropriate photo identification and other documentation to confirm, to the Promoter’s satisfaction, the entrant’s eligibility to enter the Promotion and the validity of their entry, failing which all entries of that entrant will be deemed invalid.
Draw and Prizes
The prize draw will take place at Suite 2, Level 2, 105 Reservoir Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010 at 10:00AM (AEST) on 2 June 2021 (Draw Date).
The total maximum prize pool for the Promotion is $7,500. Each Eligible Entrant is only eligible to be awarded one prize irrespective of the number of Eligible Budget Direct Policies purchased during the Promotion Period, excluding Eligible Entrants from South Australia who are eligible to win multiple prizes based on the number of entries submitted.
A total of one (1) Eligible Winner and five (5) Eligible Runners Up will be selected on the Draw Date. The Promotor may request evidence of their validity and eligibility of entry, including but not limited to photo identification.
The Eligible Winner and Eligible Runner Ups will be notified via their nominated email address within two (2) business days of the Draw Date, or by 4 June 2021. The Eligible Winner’s and Eligible Runner Ups names’ will be published on the terms and conditions page of the Promoter’s website at www.budgetdirect.com.au within twenty-one (21) days of the prize draw and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than twenty-eight (28) days. All reasonable steps will be taken by the Promoter to notify the Eligible Winner and Eligible Runner Ups.
The Promoter may draw five (5) additional reserve entries and record them (in order) in case of an invalid entry or the entrant is ineligible to accept the prize. In the event of an invalid entry or an ineligible entrant, or if the entrant declines to accept a prize, the prize will be awarded to the first reserve entry drawn. If a prize cannot be awarded to an entrant drawn, the Promoter will continue this process until the prize is awarded. If after this process, if a prize has still not been awarded, or if an entrant drawn cannot be notified, the Promoter will hold an unclaimed prize draw in accordance with Clause 18.
A prize will be deemed unclaimed if the Promoter is not reasonably able to contact the Eligible Winner within three (3) months and one (1) day of the Draw Date via the contact details provided at the time of completing the Eligible Budget Direct Quote or purchasing the Eligible Budget Direct Policy.
An Unclaimed Prize Draw will be held in order to distribute any prizes that remain unclaimed, at the location in clause 12, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory Legislation, at 10:00AM (AEST) on 3 September 2021.
Any Unclaimed Prize Draw winner(s) will be notified via their nominated email address, within two (2) business days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw or by 7 September 2021. Each Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner’s name will be published on the terms and conditions page of the Promoter’s website at www.budgetdirect.com.au on 3 September 2021, and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than twenty-eight (28) days. All reasonable steps will be taken to notify the winners of the Unclaimed Prize Draw
The Eligible Winners’ accommodation is supplied by the Insurers’ preferred supplier, View Retreats. The prize consists of accommodation up to the value of AU$4,000 and is valid for redemption for up to 12 months from the completion of the competition. Subject to availability, the Eligible Winner may select any pet-friendly accommodation from viewretreats.com up to the total of the prize value. To claim the prize, the Eligible Winner will need to contact View Retreats directly. The accommodation cannot be booked online. Any unused amount of the total prize value will be forfeited and is not redeemable for accommodation or cash. Only selected properties and room types are pet-friendly as indicated on viewretreats.com. Pet-friendly properties are not available in all areas and any required travel or transport is at the Eligible Winners’ own cost. Bookings are subject to the viewretreats.com terms of service and the accommodations own terms and conditions. Accommodation terms vary by property. Depending on the chosen property, additional terms or costs may apply to bookings with pets, such as size, weight, whether animals are allowed on furniture etc. The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash. If the Eligible Winner’s booking is impacted by COVID-19 (for instance, due to border closures) it is the responsibility of the Eligible Winner to liaise with View Retreats in relation to any cancellation or change of booking. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any losses sustained by the Eligible Winner due to COVID-19.
The Promotor will distribute the Eligible Runners Up prizes via email. Vet Products Direct Vouchers are single use only and redeemable online only at www.vetproductsdirect.com.au. The code printed on the Gift Card must be quoted at checkout. Gift Cards must be redeemed prior to the expiry date printed on the card. Gift Cards are not reloadable, transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If a Gift Card or receipt of it incurs a tax liability, the relevant recipient of the Gift Card is liable for payment of such tax.
Privacy Statement and Marketing Consent
The Promoter is committed to protecting your Personal Information and agrees to be bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Promoter’s privacy policy is available on the website www.budgetdirect.com.au and further details of how the Promoter will collect, store, use and disclose personal information can be found there.
By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge that a further primary purpose for collection of the entrant’s Personal Information is to contact the entrant in the future with information about the Promoter, including special offers, market research or to provide marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages (SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), IM (Instant Messaging) and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future.
The Promoter will never sell an entrant’s Personal Information to other companies, however the Promoter may share an entrant’s Personal Information with its Australian and overseas related companies, promotional partners, servants, employees, agents and trusted third parties who may contact the entrant for their legitimate commercial purposes. By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge and agree that the Promoter and any applicable third parties may use their Personal Information in the manner set out in this condition.
The Eligible Entrant agrees that, in the event they are an Eligible Winner or Runner Up, the Promoter may use their contact details for the purpose of facilitating the conduct of the Promotion and awarding any prize. The Eligible Entrant will participate in all reasonable promotional activities in relation to the Promotion, as requested by the Promoter and its agents. This may include the Eligible Winner or Runner Ups’ name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same), in any media worldwide for whatever purpose and without notification, remuneration or compensation, for marketing and or promotional purposes, for an indefinite period.
General
The Promoter, its related entities, their officers and employers will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential which is suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion, including through the use or operation of any prize, except to the extent of any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including any applicable consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law).
If the Promotion cannot be conducted as intended for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize to the same value as an original prize, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory Legislation. The Promotor reserves the right or subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate, withdraw or cancel the Promotion at any time without notice.
The Promotor does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any tax liability associated, connected with or arising from the Promotion, unless specified within these Terms and Conditions.
In these Terms and Conditions:
"Australian Consumer Law" means Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). “Personal Information” means, for the purpose of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
