We know how much you love it, so we’re launching our biggest giveaway ever … again! That’s right witches, our annual Trick or Treat scavenger hunt is back, and this year there are some seriously wicked treats coming your way!
For the third year running, The Weekend Edition is getting ready to launch an exciting game with its readers – a little game called Trick or Treat. Starting Monday October 29 until Halloween on Wednesday October 31, readers will have the chance to join in a scavenger hunt on The Weekend Edition websites, hunting for randomly placed pumpkins that will reveal a wicked trick, or wickedly delightful treat. There is more than $11,500 in prizes to be won – you could win dining vouchers, event and movie tickets, overnight accommodation and a whole lot more!
So how can you play? All you need to do is visit The Weekend Edition between Monday October 29 and 5:00 pm Wednesday October 31. As you search through the site, you’ll find randomly placed pumpkins in a number of stories. Simply click on the pumpkin to reveal either a trick (boo!) or treat (woo!). If you get tricked keep searching – there are plenty of prizes up for grabs and new prizes will be released each day. If you get a treat, you’ll be prompted to enter your details to claim your prize – but you’ll only have ten minutes to do so before a ghoul steals it back from you! Remember it’s only one prize per person! If you don’t fancy the treat you’ve found, try your luck and keep hunting, and leave that one for someone else.

Promotional period: from Monday October 29 to Wednesday October 31, 2018.
Hide and seek competition:
Entrants will have the chance to win one of fifty-nine (59) prizes by participating in the competition.
There is a total of fifty-nine (59) winners for this competition. Strictly limited to one (1) prize per person.
All terms and conditions apply to ALL prizes. Terms and conditions for individual prizes will be outlined in individual prize emails.

Mechanics:
To enter the Promotion, the entrant must complete all the steps during the Promotional Period:

To claim your prize, please follow the prompts to submit the online form with your personal details (including but not limited to first name, last name, date of birth, email address, mobile number, postcode and state/territory).
Entries permitted: Strictly limited to one (1) entry form submission permitted per person for instant prize.
How to Enter:
To participate in the Competition, the entrant must subscribe or have subscribed to The Weekend Edition’s e-news.
Existing subscribers only need to enter the competition on The Weekend Edition website.
Entrants must fully and correctly complete and submit the entry form on The Weekend Edition website. If you do not supply the information, your entry will be deemed invalid. You may only enter this competition once.
Competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
The Prize is not negotiable or redeemable for cash.

Eligibility: to be eligible to enter this Competition, a person must:

Winner Notification: The Weekend Edition will notify winners by email by COB Wednesday November 7. The Weekend Edition reserves the right to use information regarding the Winners of the Competition for marketing purposes, including publication of their names on the websites maintained by the Promoter.
No liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prizes to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the Competition or acceptance of the Prize.
