Terms & Conditions
Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully. If you do not agree with the contents of the Terms and Conditions, you are not obligated to participate in the "Write Your Name in Korea" event ("Event") which is organized by the Korea Tourism Organization ("KTO"). From the time you participate in the Event, you will be deemed to have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions.
Expressions such as "KTO" or "us" refer to the Korea Tourism Organization that is organizing the Event, and the expression "participant" refers to the participants of the Event.
The purpose of the Event is to construct the "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)" which will directly imprint the names of people living in various countries around the world on a road in a special region in South Korea, and you can participate in the event via the Imagine your Korea website http://imagineyourkorea.com/ ("Event Page").
How to Participate in the Event
You can participate in the Event through the following method.
    After accessing the Event Page, enter your personal information and share the Event on your SNS channel. In order for your application to be accepted, the authentication of your email account must be completed.
    Among the participants, 23,000 people will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis and included in the construction of "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)", and the names of the people who could not be included in the 23,000 people selected will be additionally displayed in nearby areas of "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)".
    Among the participants, a total of 6 people, 1 person per week, will be randomly selected and the winners will have the opportunity to visit Korea (including one accompanying person).
    Participants who personally visit the "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)" can receive a small souvenir prepared by "KTO."
All information entered by the applicants during the application of the Event will be shared with "KTO." In order to apply for the Event, you must agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Email addresses collected through the Event will only be used by "KTO" to select the winners and will not be disclosed to other persons or institutions in any way. However, "KTO" may request additional information through the email registered by the participants during the progress of the Event, if necessary.
The name and nationality information gathered by the Event are used for the construction of "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)" the country of residence is shown as a country code. The installation of the road may take 4 - 6 weeks from the time the email account authentication is completed, but the schedule may be delayed due to unexpected reasons.
If the given name or family name submitted is judged to be a criticism of another party, a slur, or inappropriate in any other way, the host may decide not to print the name.
"Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)" may be removed without notice due to internal affairs after January 1, 2016, and the name and nationality information that has been created cannot be corrected or removed until the removal.
During the visiting period by the winner and accompanying person, the trip of the winner and accompanying person may be photographed or filmed according to a prior agreement with "KTO", and the film and relevant materials can be used for future marketing purposes organized by "KTO." The copyright on the use of all productions such as video and photographs of the winner and accompanying person during the trip will be held by "KTO", and the winner and accompanying person cannot claim any infringement of rights and damage compensation such as portrait rights or invasion of privacy concerning the use of production materials by "KTO."
Event Participation Period
The duration of the Event is as follows.
    Event Application Period: 00:00 a.m. August 20, 2015 - 23:59 p.m. September 30, 2015. (KST)
    "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road)" Construction Period: 00:00 a.m. August 20, 2015 - 23:59 p.m. October 31, 2015. (KST)
    Gift Period upon Imaginary Road Visit: 00:00 a.m. August 20, 2015 - 23:59 p.m. December 31, 2015. (KST)
Event Eligibility
"KTO" has the right to restrict the participation of any person who violates the Terms and Conditions from the Event. In addition, persons who do not fulfill any of the following items or attempt to gain benefit through any forms of illegal means shall be excluded from the Event and winner selection.
    Only Foreigners can participate in the event. (Korean nationality holders are not eligible to participate.)
    The applicant and accompanying person must be legal residents of the country selected as their residing country.
    The applicant and the accompanying person must not have any disqualifications concerning the travel to Korea.
    Enterprises or other agencies or organizations are not eligible to participate.
    The Event can only be accessed online; therefore internet access is required.
    The participant of the Event must have one's own email account.
Winner Selection and Announcement
The winners of the Event will be selected on the basis of the Terms and Conditions below.
The winners of the Event are to be randomly selected by "KTO", and the participants cannot raise any objections on this matter. In addition, "KTO" is not obligated to disclose information on the winner selection criteria and contents.
The winners are scheduled to be announced over a total of 6 times on (i) August 28, 2015, (ii) September 4, 2015, (iii) September 11, 2015, (iv) September 18, 2015, (v) September 25, 2015, and (vi) October 2, 2015. However, the announcement schedule may be delayed due to unexpected circumstances.
The winners will be notified via the email address entered by the participant during application, and the winner announcement will be made via the Imagine your Korea website (imagineyourkorea.com). In addition, the email address may be used to request additional information required for the trip. If the winner does not reply within 5 days of the announcement, the winner will be excluded from the prize.
"KTO" has the exclusive right to cancel the winning and select a contingent winner if the winner (i) cannot be reached despite reasonable efforts by "KTO"; (ii) did not submit the documents in the form request by "KTO" on time; (iii) has failed to obtain a visa to visit Korea; (iv) cannot travel during the prescribed period; (v) has waived the winning; or (vi) if the winning or winning notification has been rejected or returned due to failed delivery.
In addition, the winners must prepare items required for the visit to Korea on their own such as passport, visa, and personal items. Also, only participants who reside in countries that legally allow visit to Korea can be selected as winners.
Prizes
The prizes of the Event are as follows.
    Round-trip airline ticket to Korea (including 1 accompanying person)
    Accommodation for a total of 3 nights (2 nights in Seoul, 1 night in Changwon)
    One day tour of the "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road) "
The prizes provided to the winner and accompanying person includes (i) airline ticket to Korea (round-trip economy class); (ii) accommodation for 3 nights and 4 days (2 nights in Seoul, 1 night in Changwon); (iii) One day tour of the "Sang Sang Gil (Imagination Road) includes: KTX tickets (standard seats/ Seoul Station - Masan Station), meals, entrance fee to major attractions in Changwon, 1 one-day tour guide.
The winners of the Event must agree to the knowledge of all the items below.
    The winners can freely schedule their itinerary in Korea (a total of 3 nights and 4 days), but 1 day must include the one day tour in Changwon that is provided by "KTO."
    The above schedule is determined by the agreement between "KTO" and winners. However, the visit to Korea must be made by October 28, 2015, based on the arrival date, and the winning will be cancelled if the trip cannot be made within the set date.
    If the winners desire to stay in Korea longer than the planned 4 day schedule, they must notify "KTO" of the departure schedule in advance, and "KTO" is not legally responsible for the winners' entire visiting period in Korea.
    If the winners and accompanying persons require visas from their residing country in order to visit Korea, they must receive them on their own, and "KTO" does not provide any support concerning this matter such as cost of issuance and guarantee.
    The winners are responsible for all personal expenses during the trip in Korea, including transportation expenses required for the winners and accompanying persons to get to the airport in their country from their residents.
    Airline tickets will be selected based on the airline service provided by "KTO."
    If the winner is a minor in the relevant country, a legally binding agreement from the parent or legal guardian is required.
    If the winner is a minor, he/she must be accompanied by an adult, and if the accompanying adult is not the parent, the adult must submit a parent agreement concerning the trip to Korea.
    The winners are responsible for all transportation expenses in Korea, and pickup service from the airport is not provided.
    If the specified prizes cannot be offered due to circumstances outside the control of "KTO," "KTO" can replace the relevant prizes with other similar prizes.
    The prizes offered to the winners of the Event cannot be replaced with cash equivalents and the winner cannot transfer the prizes to another person.
    Taxes and dues that occur in Korea from the prizes offered to the winners of the Event by "KTO" will be the responsibility of "KTO," but taxes and dues that occur in other regions will be the responsibility of the winners.
Liability
"KTO" is not responsible for any partial or total losses (including special, indirect or consequential losses but not limited to these) that can occur during the entire process of Event participation and winner announcement, as well as the items below.
    Regardless of transfer methods, communication or statement that is late, lost, delayed, in wrong direction, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, or difficult or impossible to understand
    Technical failure, computer failure, interrupted connection, disconnection, delay or transmission error concerning telephone system, telephone, computer hardware, or software
    All accidents, injuries, illnesses, financial losses, or damages of any kind that occur due to one's own negligence during the period of visit in Korea
    Damage to computer system due to the participation, access, or information download in relation to the Event
"KTO" has the right to cancel, change or delay the Event at its sole discretion if there is the risk of virus, bug, computer failure, unauthorized intervention, matters outside the control of "KTO," or reasons that interfere with the normal progress of "KTO" administration, security or the Event.
Dispute Mediation
If there is a dispute (dispute, controversy, or relevant policies according to such matters) concerning the Event, it must be resolved under the law of South Korea. If a dispute cannot be resolved through the mediation of agreement between the parties, the mediation shall be performed by the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board located in Seoul, Korea. "KTO" may change the Terms and Conditions of the Event after giving prior notice to the applicants, and if the applicants do not agree with the changes, the Event participation and winning will be cancelled as the disagreement will be considered as a withdrawal from the Event application.

Responses are being provided within 5 working days from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There could be a delay in response time due to unexpectedly high volumes.
The Event is organized by "KTO" and procured by HS Ad and Dmajor (agencies that have been granted operation rights of the Event from "KTO").
