TERMS OF ENTRY
This competition (the “Promotion”) is conducted by Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Australia Pty Limited ABN 39 152 425 735 of Level 30, 1 Market Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (the “Promoter”).
Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Promotion, entrants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in the Promotion and to take the Prize if they are the winner.
All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promotion is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years or over. The Promoter reserves the right to request any entrant to provide documentary evidence confirming his/her age. Employees and immediate families of Universal Sony and their associated companies and agents and the immediate families of such employees are not eligible to enter the Promotion.
The Promotion commences at 09:00 (EST) on 17th October 2016, and ends at 12:00 (EST) on 17th November 2016.
The Promotion is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining a winner.
Entrance to the Promotion is via the competition website droughtlander.com.au and requires entrants to answer the following “Competition Question” – “In 25 words or less, tell us why you are the biggest Outlander fan in Australia”. Name and email address are also required at the point of entry in order to contact the winner.
The Competition Question answers will be judged on 50% creativity and 50% written expression.
The one (1) answer to the Competition Question which is deemed to be both the most creative and most articulate of all valid entries received as judged by the Promoter in its sole discretion will be determined as a winner of a Prize available in the Promotion.
Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
An Entrant’s entry must not be, without limitation: a) Late;b) Delayed;c) Incomplete;d) Incomprehensible;e) Unlawful;f) Obscene;g) Defamatory;h) Libellous;i) Threatening;j) Pornographic;k) Harassing;l) Hateful;m) Racially or ethnically offensive;n) Capable of encouraging conduct that would be considered a criminal offence;o) Capable of violating any law; and/orp) Capable of giving rise to civil liability.
There is a limit of one (1) entry per entrant.
PRIZE: One major prize to be awarded to one person for them and one other person also aged 18+. Prize to include 6 nights’ B&B accommodation, 6 breakfasts and return flights for two (2) to Edinburgh, Scotland, from either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and excludes the following travel dates: 2-7 April, 2-21 July, 24 Dec-2 Jan.
Total value = AUD$6,800 (incl. GST). All prices stated are in Australian dollars, represent the recommended retail price (“RRP”) include GST & are subject to change.
PRIZE: Five runners-up will receive an Outlander prize pack consisting of 1x Tote ($9.99), 1x Pillow ($15.99), 1x Large T-shirt ($9.99), 1x Pocket Claire ($5.99) and 1x Pocket Jamie (3.99). Total runners-up prize pool valued at AUD $229.75.
Total prize pool valued at AUD$7,029.75 (incl. GST).
Spending money, accommodation (unless included), meals (unless included), additional taxes, insurance, transfers, car hire, items of a personal nature, visa’s, inoculations, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs not mentioned in prize inclusions are not included.
Prizes must be taken within 12 months of prize drawn. All trips must be completed by 17th November 2017. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Prizes cannot be sold, scalped, auctioned, raffled, pledged, or promoted as an incentive or reward by any third party as an inducement for any person or other entity to enter into any commercial or other arrangements with that third party. If a prize is obtained through any of these methods, it will not be honoured.
Unless expressly stated within these Conditions of Entry regarding the prize, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner. In the event that for any reason a prize winner does not take the whole or part of a prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter then that whole or part of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner. Neither cash nor other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of the forfeited whole or part of the prize.
Prize inclusions can alter slightly depending on availability at time of travel.
The judging will take place on 17th November 2016 (EST) at the Promoter’s offices located at Level 30, 1 Market Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
The winner will be contacted by email using supplied email address.
If a winner is unable to be contacted or does not claim their Prize within 48 hours of judging, their Prize will be forfeited.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant that fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
The Promoter reserves the right to close the competition earlier than advertised and the winner will be drawn from entries received to that time.
The personally identifiable information you provide in connection with the Promotion will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, located athttp://www.ultravioletuniversal.com/legal/privacypolicy.aspx
Entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any claims made by the winner, entrants, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Promotion as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any Prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion.
