Please read through the following terms and conditions carefully. It will be deemed that you are not participating in the ‘Korea visits you!’ event sponsored by the Korea Tourism Organization if you cannot agree to the conditions below. Likewise, your participation in the event will be taken as your acceptance of the conditions below.
Henceforth “KTO” will refer to the Korea Tourism Organization and “participant” will refer to any person participating in the event.
The purpose of this event is to provide those interested in Korea with an opportunity to visit our beautiful country, and thus promote the message of our campaign through photos and videos taken of them enjoying and experiencing Korea.
You may participate in this event at the ‘Korea visits you!’ website koreavisitsyou.com.
1. How to Participate
1) Go to the campaign website and click “Participate.”
2) Select SNS where you can share photos you’ve taken in while in Korea or photos of things and places you wish to experience in Korea, and login with your account.

3) Upload and share photos with any or all of the event-designated #hashtags below.

4) Once your files have been uploaded, return to the “Join #Hashtag Event” window and fill in all requested information (your country of residence, email, SNS posting URL, etc.) and “Complete.”
Please be aware that all “participant” information will be shared with “KTO”. In order to apply for the Event, you must agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Any and all personal information collected for the event, including participant’s country, E-mail address, and social media accounts, will be used by “KTO” for the sole purpose of selecting event winners, and will not be shared with other persons or organizations.
However, when necessary “KTO” reserves the right to request additional information from registered participants by email during the event.
If you participate in the event, your social media profile photo and/or photos you posted as public may be selected at random and used on our campaign site. Liability for any infringement of copyright or portrait rights rests on the participant who uploaded the images.
Prize can be canceled if the participant deletes or turns the content into private posting right after participation or winner announcement.
This event is operated by HS Ad Co. Ltd and D.Tribe as contractors for the Korea Tourism Organization and any information provided will be destroyed within 1 month from the end of the campaign.
The winner and their accompanying person must spend one day of their scheduled visit to Korea having photos taken as they enjoy experience of Korea, with snapshots and video clips taken by a VJ. Your eligibility for the prize may be revoked if you cannot participate in this session.
Photos taken and all other related materials may be used by “KTO” in the future for marketing purposes. “KTO” will retain all copyrights to all products including photos and videos of the winners and any accompanying persons and they cannot claim for violation of personal rights or for any damages such as for violations of portrait right or invasion of privacy regarding the use of products by “KTO”.
2. Event Participation Period
Event Application Period : September 27, 2016 10:00 a.m. ~ October 31, 2016 23:59 p.m.
3. Event Participation Eligibility
“KTO” has the right to restrict participants who have violated the terms of the event. In addition, those who fail to comply with one of the points below, or those who seek to benefit by use of illegal means, will be excluded from the event and prize draw.
- Only Foreigners can participate in the event. (Korean nationality holders are not eligible to participate.)
- The applicant and accompanying person must be legal residents of the country selected as their residing country.
- The applicant and the accompanying person must not have any disqualifications concerning the traveling to Korea.
- Enterprises or other agencies or organizations are not eligible to participate.
- The event can only be accessed online, and therefore internet access is essential.
- The participant must have at least one social media account, and an email address under his/her name.
4. Selection and Announcement of Winners
Event winners will be selected randomly by “KTO” and participants may not make any contestations in connection with this process. In addition, “KTO” has no obligation to make public its selection criteria or other information.

There will be a total of five winners to be announced on the following days: (i) October 7, 2016, (ii) October 14, 2016, (iii) October 21, 2016, (iv) October 28, 2016, and (v) November 4, 2016. However, this schedule may change if there are unforeseen circumstances.
The email address provided at the time of application will be used to notify the winners, who will also be announced on the ‘Korea visits you!’ website.
In addition, this email address may be used to request additional information required for the trip. The winner will be excluded from any prizes if he/she does not respond within 5 days after the announcement of the winner A prize may be awarded only once to one person and multiple wins are not allowed.
“KTO” reserves the right to cancel the winner and select a new winner in the following cases: (i) the winner does not respond to attempts to contact them; (ii) the winner fails to submit the requested documents to “KTO” by the deadline; (iii) the winner is unable to obtain a visa to visit Korea; (iv) the winner is unable to visit Korea during the designated period; (v) the winner renounces his/her winner status; (vi) the winning notification is rejected or returned due to delivery failure
In addition, it is the responsibility of the winner to prepare all of the items necessary to visit Korea, such as a passport, visa and personal items. The winner also has to be a legal resident in the country of residence in order to win the chance to visit Korea.
5. Prize
The prizes offered during the event are as follows :
- One roundtrip airline ticket to Korea (including 1 accompanying person)
- 3 nights stay in a twin-size room at the Seoul Myeongdong Lotte Hotel L7

Event winners must agree to the following conditions :
- One day will be designated as a “Photo shoot day,” conducted based on the photos you uploaded on your social media when applying for this event. However schedule may change depending on local circumstances and conditions.
- The schedule of the visit will be mutually agreed by “KTO” and the winners. However, the visit, including the final date of departure from the country, must take place by November 20, 2016, Winning status may be cancelled if this schedule cannot be accommodated.
- If winner wishes to extend stay beyond the provided 4 days, winner must notify “KTO” in advance, and “KTO” bears no legal responsibility for the winner throughout their entire stay in Korea.
- If the winner requires a visa in order to visit Korea, it is the winner’s sole responsibility to obtain necessary visa, without any kind of support, financial or otherwise, from “KTO”.
- The winner must bear all personal costs that arise from their trip to Korea. The winner and the accompanying person will pay for all transportation charges including the charges to get to the hotel from the airport. A pick-up service will not be provided.
- The airline ticket will be determined based on the airline services currently offered by “KTO”.
- Where the winner is younger than 14 in the country where they reside, participation in the event and uptake of prizes takes place under legally binding consent from a parent or a legal guardian on their behalf. In this case the winner must be accompanied by an adult and if the accompanying adult is not a legal guardian, permission must be obtained from his/her legal guardian to travel to Korea. permission must be obtained from his/her legal guardian to travel to Korea.
- The prize awarded to winner may not be substituted for a cash equivalent and it cannot be transferred to another person.
- “KTO” will pay all taxes and fees in connection with the prize being awarded to the winner when these arise in Korea, but the winner must pay for all such costs and fees which arise in his/her own country.
6. Legal Responsibility
Except for the specific circumstances listed below which may arise during the course of participation in the event, the announcement of winners, or the process of visiting Korea, “KTO” bears no responsibility for any losses incurred :
- Circumstances where, as a result of miscommunication or errors during winner announcements and/or document processing with “KTO,” there are delays, loss of information, illegible documents, or information is difficult or impossible to understand.
- Circumstances where there are errors related to computer hardware or software, computer errors, connection interruption during participation, delays, transmission errors or computer damage during the process of event participation
-“KTO” reserves the right to cancel, change or delay the event if it is determined that there is a risk of a computer virus, bug, error or illegal interference or potentials that are beyond the control of “KTO,” or in the case “KTO’s” administration, security or event operation may be at risk.
7. Dispute Resolution
In the case of a dispute related to the event (disputes, conflicts, issues related to policy etc.), such disputes must be resolved according to Korean Laws. If the two parties cannot resolve the dispute through mutual discussion, the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board located in Seoul will handle the arbitration of the applicable dispute
“KTO” may change the terms and conditions of the event without advance notice to the participants, and if the participant does not agree to such changes, will be deemed to have refused to participate in the event and on this basis his/her eligibility for the prize may be revoked.

Ordinarily a response will be sent within 5 working days (Korea Time: Monday through Friday 10:00 AM ~ 6:00 PM). Responses may be delayed if there is an unusually high volume of inquiries.
The Event is organized by "KTO" and procured by HS Ad and D.TRIBE (agencies that have been granted operation rights of the Event from "KTO").
