To enter, go to www.lonelyplanet.com/where-would-you-go choose your favourite city from the Best in Travel 2014 list and answer in 100 words or less why you would like to go there.
You don’t have to buy anything to enter. You can enter between 12am AEST on 29th October 2013 and 12am AEST on 28th January 2014. Your entry is received at the time Lonely Planet receives it. Incomplete and invalid entries will not be accepted. If your entry gets lost in cyberspace or doesn’t arrive for any other reason, that’s not Lonely Planet’s fault.

Lonely Planet reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has engaged in unlawful or improper conduct that is designed to jeopardise the fair conduct of the promotion or is generally damaging to the reputation of Lonely Planet, or has otherwise breached these conditions of entry (as determined in Lonely Planet’s sole discretion).
Lonely Planet might have to extend the dates of the promotion but only if it’s totally unavoidable (for example, if the competition entry page is unavailable for 24 hours or more) and we’ll let you know if we do.
PRIZE
Accommodation for two people in one of the cities from the Best in Travel 2014 list as available from Booking.com and chosen by the winner up to the maximum value of AUD$4170 (approx. £2,500). If the total cost of the accommodation is less than this amount, the winner will not receive the balance in cash or any other method. Accommodation does not include minibar expenses or any other extra costs such as airport shuttles and meals. Accommodation is subject to Booking.com’s standard terms listed at: http://www.booking.com/general.en-gb.html?lang=en-gb&tmpl=docs%2Fterms-and-conditions . Please note, due to the international embargo imposed by US Congress (Helms-Burton Act and Cuban Democracy Act) it is not possible to choose accommodation in Cuba.

Up to AUD$2500 (approx. £1491) to be used towards the purchase of two return economy airfares from the nearest international airport to the winner's home city, which services flights to the chosen city. The winner will be responsible for any additional cost for the airfares over and above this amount. If the total cost of the airfare is less than this amount, the winner will not receive the balance in cash or any other method.
