WHO CAN ENTER?To be eligible to enter the Competition:
you must be a permanent resident of Australia;
if you are younger than 18 years old, your parent or guardian (over the age of 18) will need to agree to these Terms and Conditions (we may contact this person to confirm their agreement);
you are in possession of a valid receipt documenting the Purchase; and
neither you nor anyone in your immediate family may be an employee of Disney, or any of its respective affiliate, subsidiary or parent companies, or otherwise affiliated with Disney or connected to the Competition in any way.
Disney may disqualify you if:
you or your Entry do not meet any one or more of the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions, including if you are unable to supply a valid receipt documenting the Purchase when requested by Disney;
your Entry includes any objectionable material or infringes the rights (including intellectual property rights) of any third party; or
you tamper in any way with the operation of the Competition.
Your Entry must be complete, in English and legible.
If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, unforeseen legal or commercial circumstances or any other causes beyond the control of Disney which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Competition, Disney reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, delay or suspend the Competition.
HOW TO ENTER:
To enter the ‘Rubie’s Deerfield Star Wars BIG W Promotion’ (the “Competition”), entrants must first purchase any Star Wars-branded Rubie’s Deerfield product valued at AUD $20.00 or greater from any BIG W Store or at www.bigw.com.au during the Competition period (the “Purchase”) and retain their original purchasing receipt as proof of Purchase. Disney reserves the right to disqualify an entrant if the entrant cannot present a purchase receipt that confirms that the product was purchased from BIG W store during the Competition Period.
Entrant must then go to www.disney.com.au/rubiesdeerfield and click through to the Competition page. There, entrants complete and submit the entry form, including specifying their state of residence, and answer the following question in 25 words or less: “If you could join the Light or the Dark side which would it be? Give us your most creative answer to be in the chance to win” (the “Entry”).
Entry is open from 10:00AM (AEDT) on Thursday 15 October 2015 and closes at 5:00PM (AEDT) on Tuesday 1 December 2015 (the “Competition Period”). Entry can only be made during the Competition Period. The Competition will be decided at 12:00PM (AEDT) on Thursday 3 December 2015 (the “Selection Date”).
You may enter the Competition a maximum of four times and are eligible to win one Prize only (except for South Australian Entrants who may win more than one prize).
Entry into the Competition is free (except for any normal internet connection/ charges that may apply).
PRIZE:
There will be five (5) major prizes (each a “Major Prize”) and one hundred (100) minor prizes (each a “Minor Prize”) (collectively, each a “Prize”) to be won during the course of the Competition as follows:
The Major Prize will consist of a VIP catered party prior to a 3D Gold Class screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens held on the night of Thursday 17 December 2015 for the Major Prize Winner and twenty four (24) friends (the “Screening”). The Screening will be held in each Major Prize Winner’s state of residence at the following locations and include:
Event Cinemas George Street (505-525 George St, Sydney, NSW 2000)
Screening valued at a maximum of AUD $1,833.50;
Catering package valued at a maximum of AUD $2,242.00;
Village Cinema Crown (Shop 50, 8 Whiteman St, Southbank, VIC 3006)
Screening and catering package valued at a maximum of AUD $3,500;
Event Cinemas Indooroopilly (Level 4, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, Moggill Road, Indooroopilly, QLD 4068)
Screening valued at a maximum of AUD $1,447.50;
Catering package valued at a maximum of AUD $1,770.00;
Event Cinemas Innaloo (57 Liege St, Innaloo, WA 6018)
Screening valued at a maximum of AUD $1,254.50;
Catering package valued at a maximum of AUD $1,534.00;
Event Cinemas Marion (Level 3, Westfield Marion, 297 Diagonal Road, Oaklands Park, SA 5046)
Screening valued at a maximum of AUD $1,447.50;
Catering package valued at a maximum of AUD $1,770.00.
The Major Prize pool is valued at a maximum of AUD $16,799.
The Major Prize does not include any transport to or from the Screening location and Winner and their guests are solely responsible for organising any such transport.
The Minor Prize will consist of:
100 x $50.00 BIG W Vouchers valued a maximum of AUD $50.00 RRP.
The Minor Prize pool is valued at a maximum of AUD $5,000.00.
The total Competition prize pool is valued at AUD $21,799.00.
The Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices (inclusive of GST). Disney does not accept any responsibility for a change in Prize value.
If you are a Winner:
You may not transfer the Prize to anyone or ask for any alternative Prize (including cash).
Disney may replace the Prize with another prize of equal value in the unlikely event that the Prize becomes unavailable.
If you are not able to take the Prize as stated, you will forfeit the Prize and no payment or compensation will be made in lieu.
Once the Prize has left the premises of Disney, responsibility for any damage, delay or loss to the Prize during transit will pass to you.
Disney may ask you or your parent/legal guardian to provide proof of your age, identity and residency, and to sign any required documentation including release forms as a condition of claiming the Prize.
You or your parent/legal guardian are responsible for all expenses and taxes connected to your participation in the Competition and not included in the Prize
If requested by Disney, the Winner may be required and must agree to be filmed during the presentation of the Prize. The Winner hereby grants to Disney the right to issue, and authorise others to issue, publicity concerning the Winner, and the right to use Winner’s name (including any professional name or sobriquet adopted by Winner), likeness and biographical data in connection with the promotion of the Competition.
