1. Overview:
Build a place in Heartlake City where you would like to share friendship moments with your Best Friend! For the first time ever, we are giving you the chance to create a concept design for LEGO® Friends, and to make yourself as a minidoll!
The 5 LEGO Friends need a new social place in Heartlake City that they can enjoy with their friends. The designers in the LEGO® Friends team need your help to build this new place. It’s up to you to build one! Take inspiration in our previous models, use LEGO bricks and create an Inspirational Model where the Friends girls can have loads of fun.
The Grand Prize Winner will win a week-long trip for up to 4 people to the LEGO Group headquarters in Billund, Denmark, where they will engage with the LEGO Friends Design Team to turn the Winner' ideas into a design for an actual LEGO Friends product. This will also include a LEGO minidoll figurine in the Winner's likeness! (using existing LEGO Friends elements)

2. This Competition is sponsored by LEGO System A/S, Aastvej 1, 7190 Billund, Denmark.
By participating in this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
3. Eligibility:The competition is open to participants, ranging from 6 to 12 years old, worldwide, except as may be prohibited by law and excluding Brazil and the Canadian province of Quebec.
All Entrants must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are not eligible to enter if you are an employee, partner or immediate family member of an employee of the LEGO Group or any third party company or agency directly connected with the creation or administration of this Promotion.
LEGO ID required for entry. If you do not have a LEGO ID, you may obtain one at no cost at https://account2.lego.com/en-us/registration/register after accepting the Terms of Service. Ask your parents for permission before going online.

4. Entry period: All entries must be received within the “Entry Period,” which begins on the 26th of December 2016 at 11:00 am CEST and ends on the 28th of February 2017 at 4:00 pm CEST. Any Entries received after this time shall not be valid.

WHAT IS AN INSPIRATIONAL MODEL?Use LEGO bricks and start building a concept model about a new social place in Heartlake City. You can use any LEGO bricks, elements and minidolls or minifigures for your models, there is no limit to your imagination! You can build your model using real life bricks or using the LEGO Digital Designer software (available only in English) that can be downloaded with no cost here: http://ldd.lego.com/
YOUR INSPIRATIONAL MODEL
You must be the original creator of all creative work you submit (the inspirational LEGO model, images, photographs, description text, etc.) and you must have the exclusive right to submit your model to this contest. You agree not to upload images that belong to someone else as a part of your project, even if that person gives you permission. If you want someone else’s idea to become a reality through this LEGO® Friends contest, please ask them to submit it.
Collaborations between builders are not permitted for this contest
Your Inspirational Model may be based on something that already exists in general, such as a school, an airplane, or a firetruck. We refer to such things as “generic ideas.” If your inspirational model is based on a generic idea, be sure to add your own personal touches to make it stand out. Keep in mind that other Entrants may be submitting Entries based on the same generic idea.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY

Log in with your LEGO ID or create one for free at https://account2.lego.com/en-us/registration/register (your LEGO ID should have a valid email address for your parent so that we may verify that they consent to your participation and we can contact them).
Upload 4 pictures of your Inspirational Model, showing it from all sides.
Tell us the title of your Inspirational Model.
If you want, write a brief description of what inspired you to create your model—no more than 100 characters.
Push the “Submit album” button onscreen to complete your Entry.
You can also ask your parents to submit your entry on Facebook. If you are a parent and you wish to submit your kids’ entry, you can do it by following the next steps:

If you are one of the 20 semifinalists, we will contact your parents to request their consent. Please note that parental consent must be provided before the 9th of March 2017 or your Entry will not be considered; please allow sufficient time for your parent or legal guardian to get back to us with their consent by that date to avoid being disqualified.

Your Entry must consist of 4 pictures of your Inspirational Model, showing it from every angle. The entire model should be covered with these 4 pictures.
The Entry cannot have been previously published or submitted in any Competition of any kind.
Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove your Entry and disqualify you from the Competition if it believes that your Entry fails to conform to these Guidelines and Restrictions
By submitting your entry to this contest/competition, you and your parents/legal guardian acknowledge and consent to LEGO® producing your idea as a commercial product.
Once the entry period ends your Entry is locked and can’t be edited. Your Entry will be judged based on how it appears at the time of Entry. Pictures may not be added or replaced later. Be sure your Entry is exactly as you want it before you submit it.
We will communicate with you through your parents’ email provided when creating your LEGO ID. Please make sure that they check their email regularly during the contest and at the time the winners are scheduled to be announced.
Please note that if the LEGO® Friends team have questions about the Inspirational Model you submitted, they might contact your parents to set up Skype meetings with you and your family. Those Skype meetings will be recorded and LEGO might use the footage for promotional purposes if your parents/legal guardians agree.

ALL TRAVELERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A RELEASE OF LIABILITY BEFORE TRAVEL TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED.
Inspirational Model Subject Matter: Inspirational Models related to the topics below do not fit our brand values and will not be approved for publication and submission to this contest:
Politics and political symbols, campaigns, or movements;
Religious references including symbols, buildings, or people;
Sex, drugs, or smoking;
Alcohol in any present day situation;
Swearing;
Death, killing, blood, terrorism, or torture;
Warfare or war vehicles in any modern or present-day situation, or national war memorials;
Racism, bullying, or cruelty to real life animals;
Material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including without limitation, privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights infringement;
The Entry must not disparage Sponsor or any other person or party affiliated with the Competition;
The Entry must show only the entrant’s creation, which must represent an object which is or could be built from LEGO® bricks and other LEGO® elements;
Entries must not show any identifiable feature of any person, or any product, trademark, or copyrighted property of any other person or business entity;
The Entry must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
The Entry must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
The Entry must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state or province where Entry is created;
Determinations on the above criteria will be made by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
6. Limitations on Number of Entries: There is no limit on the number of Entries submitted per person or household.
7. Intellectual Property: By uploading your Entry you are providing your consent to grant the Sponsor a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual (or for the entire term of duration of intellectual property rights), non-exclusive, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such Entry in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed for Competition or marketing purposes of Sponsor's products. THIS CONSENT EXPLICITLY INCLUDES YOUR CONSENT FOR THE LEGO GROUP TO PRODUCE AND SELL PRODUCTS BASED ON THE ENTRY. If requested, entrant agrees to sign any documentation that may be required for Sponsor or its designees to fully exploit the above-referenced license grant to the Entry. In granting Sponsor such license, entrant will represent and warrant that the Entry remains unpublished and does not in any way infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights.
8. Prize(s): The following Prizes will be awarded:
Semifinalist Prizes: 20 Semifinalists will each win 1 LEGO Friends set for themselves, and 1 LEGO Friends set for them to give to their best friend. The approximate retail value of each LEGO Friends set to be awarded is €69,99/$69,99.
The prizes will be delivered on the postal address of the semifinalists after the Grand Prize Winner has been announced.
Finalist Prizes: 10 Finalists will also win one of each of the LEGO Friends sets launched in the 2017 product assortment. The approximate retail value of each Finalist Prize is €790/$790. The prizes will be delivered on the postal address of the finalists after the Grand Prize Winner has been announced and after the time the LEGO Friends set in the 2017 product assortment have been launched
Grand Prize: One Grand Prize Winner will also receive the following:
1 week trip for her/his family to Billund, Denmark. The Grand Prize will cover airfare for a maximum of 2 children (including the Winner) and 2 adults, at least one of which must be a parent or legal guardian of the Winner, in tourist or economy class, which must be taken from March 27, 2017 to April 1, 2017. During the experience, the winner’s family will stay at Hotel LEGOLAND ® (one family-size room, quad occupancy with value 11.000 DKK (approximately €1.478/$1.635) and will be provided with a behind the scenes tour to visit LEGOLAND® Park in Billund-Denmark during their stay that values 1.500 DKK (approximately €201,57/$223,08). Additionally, the Winner’s family will receive 9000 DKK (approximately €1.209/ $1.338) to cover food and miscellaneous expenses during their stay and will be granted with a rental car with an average value of 3.000 DKK (approximately €134,38/ $148,72) plus a voucher to cover gas costs up to 1.000 DKK (approximately €201,57/$223,08).
The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is 240.000 DKK (approximately €32.252/$35.693) but may be slightly more or less depending on airfare costs.
The winner will visit the LEGO Headquarters and will get to become a LEGO Designer for a week, being part of the design process of the final model that will take as inspiration the winner’s design. For this purpose, the winner will guide and help the LEGO Designers during the design process.
The winner will be represented as one of the 2 minidolls to be featured in the final model. The Grand Prize Winner will build herself/himself as a minidoll from existing parts in the current LEGO portfolio.
The LEGO Friends set to be produced based on the Grand Prize Winner’s Inspirational Model will be sold in Toys’R’Us stores in those countries where Toys’R’Us operates, LEGO Stores, on Shop.LEGO.com, and in LEGOLAND Stores. Additionally, the set may be sold through other retailers in countries where Toys’R’Us does not operate
Any expenses not mentioned above, including ground transportation to and from the Grand Prize Winner’s home and the departure airport, are solely the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner.
All prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives are available. Prizes are subject to availability and the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equal or greater value if necessary, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
9. Selection of Potential Winners and Odds of Winning:
The selection process will take place in three different stages:
From all global submissions, 20 semifinalists will be selected by the LEGO Friends team. These 20 finalists will be announced on the 13th of March of 2017. If the LEGO® Friends team considers you a candidate to become one of the 20 semifinalists, they will contact your parents through your LEGO ID contact to set up telephone or Skype calls to meet you and your family. These Skype calls will be recorded and can be used for promotional purposes if your parents or legal guardian agree. Being contacted and interviewed won’t necessarily entitle you to be one of the 20 semifinalists, until the LEGO Friends team have certified you as official semifinalist Prize Winners. Upon certification of the semifinalist Prize Winners, semifinalists will be announced at LEGO.com/friendsdesigner and other LEGO® channels.
The LEGO Friends team will select 10 finalists from the 20 semifinalists hat will be announced on the 15th of March on LEGO.com/friendsdesigner and other LEGO® channels. If the LEGO™ Friends team considers you a candidate to become one of the 10 semifinalists, they will contact your parents through your LEGO ID contact to set up telephone or Skype calls to inform you of your being selected. These calls will be recorded and can be used for promotional purposes If your parents or legal guardian agree. Being contacted and interviewed won’t necessarily entitle you to be one of the 10 finalists, until the Judges have certified you as official finalist Prize Winners.
A Jury Panel will choose the ultimate Grand Prize Winner. The Winner will be announced on the 17th of March 2017 on LEGO.com/friendsdesigner and other LEGO® channels.

The odds of winning will depend on the skill and talent of the entrant, as assessed by the LEGO Friends team and the Judges, and on the number of eligible entries received.
Competition and judging schedule:
26th December 2016 – Submission period starts at 11:00 am CEST.
28th February 2017 – Submission period ends at 4:00 pm CEST.
13th March 2017 – 20 semifinalists will be announced by LEGO.
15th March 2017 – 10 finalists will be announced by LEGO.
17th March 2017 – The winner will be announced by LEGO.
10. Claiming the Prizes and Certification of Winners: Potential Winners will need to verify their eligibility for and acceptance of their Prizes to the satisfaction of the Judges during the scheduled telephone or Skype calls. If a Potential Winner cannot be certified as a Prize Winner, in time for the Competition to proceed on schedule, a new Potential Winner will be selected from all remaining eligible Entries received before the Closing Date, in accordance with the Selection procedure above.
11. Certification of Potential Grand Prize Winner: The Potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete and return a set of Winners’ Documents consisting of (i) a statement of eligibility; and (ii) a release of liability; and (iii) a publicity release (except were prohibited by law); and (iv) a prize acceptance form. The Potential Grand Prize Winner’s parent or legal guardian of the Potential Winner will be required to sign the Winners’ Documents. Upon receipt of the fully executed Winners’ Documents, and confirmation by the Judges, the Potential Grand Prize Winner will be certified as the official Grand Prize Winner.

13. Additional Rules
By entering a Competition, you warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. The LEGO Group reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants. The LEGO Group reserves the right to remove all submitted Entries if these instructions are not followed and/or if a participant is found to have cheated. Further, the LEGO Group reserves the right not to award a prize (and to select an alternative winner) if it becomes aware or has reasonable grounds to believe a winner is not eligible.
The winner and the winner’s family agree to not disclose any confidential information they may encounter while on site and may be required to sign and NDA.

Any material and results of the competition both submitted and produced as a result of the competition, including but not limited to photos, video recordings, sound recordings, Inspirational Model, minidoll version of the participant (Materials), shall become the property of the LEGO Group and the LEGO Group shall be entitled to use, make available, reproduce, modify, adapt, copy and distribute such Materials in any manner and for any commercial and non-commercial purposes on a worldwide basis including but not limited to websites of the LEGO Group, and social media channels, advertisements and promotions without payment or compensation to the Entrant.
Entries will not be returned. All Entries, excluding the images submitted in connection with the Competition, shall become the property of Sponsor and may be used for other marketing activities.
If you are the Winner, you agree that the Sponsor may use your first name and town or country of residence to announce the Winner of this Competition.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, or illegible entry materials, or for entries not received prior to the entry deadline.
Any Entry made or attempted in a manner which in the Sponsor’s reasonable opinion is contrary to the spirit of these Official Rules, or by its nature is unfair to other entrants, will be invalid and may result in your disqualification from the Competition.
Reporting prize winnings and paying any applicable taxes, governmental fees, and other expenses resulting from winning a prize are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner unless otherwise stated; Winners are encouraged to check local tax implications.

Overview: Entrants to the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition who are residents of Australia will be automatically entered into a “Bonus Competition” to win the entire LEGO Friends range launching January 2017 for the winner and his/her best friend. See LEGO.com/FriendsDesigner for details on how to enter the global LEGO Friends Designer Competition, and thereby be entered into this Bonus Competition.
2. Sponsor: This Competition is sponsored by LEGO Australia Pty Limited, Level 2, 1 Innovation Rd, Macquarie Park, NSW 2113, P.O. Box 8566, North Ryde BC, NSW 1670, Australia.
By participating in this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
3. Eligibility: To enter this Competition you must be between the ages of 6 and 12, as of the start of the Entry Period, be a legal resident of Australia except as may be prohibited by law, and submit a valid entry to the Competition.

By entering the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition, residents of the countries eligible to participate in this local competition will be entered into the local competition as well.
6. Limitations on Number of Entries: There is no limit on the number of Entries submitted per person or household. Each entry into the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition will also provide an entry into the Bonus Competition for residents of Australia.
7. Intellectual Property: All Intellectual Property Rights provisions of the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition also apply to this Bonus Competition.
8. Prize(s): In addition to the prizes to be awarded in the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition, the following Prizes will be awarded in this Bonus Competition:
One (1) 1st prize winner from Australia will receive the entire LEGO Friends range launching January 2017 for the winner and his/her best friend. The approximate retail value of the LEGO® Friends sets to be awarded is $927.70AUD. The prize will be delivered at the postal address of the finalists after the Winner(s) has been announced and after the LEGO® Friends sets in the 2017 product line assortment have been launched.
One (1) 2nd prize winner will receive a LEGO Friends Prize pack (approximate retail value of $180AUD).
One (1) 3rd prize winner will receive a LEGO Friends Set (approximate retail value of $60AUD).
The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The prize is subject to availability and the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative prize of equal or greater value if necessary, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

1. Overview:
Build a place in Heartlake City where you would like to share friendship moments with your Best Friend! For the first time ever, we are giving you the chance to create a concept design for LEGO® Friends, and to make yourself as a minidoll!
The 5 LEGO Friends need a new social place in Heartlake City that they can enjoy with their friends. The designers in the LEGO® Friends team need your help to build this new place. It’s up to you to build one! Take inspiration in our previous models, use LEGO bricks and create an Inspirational Model where the Friends girls can have loads of fun.
The Grand Prize Winner will win a week-long trip for up to 4 people to the LEGO Group headquarters in Billund, Denmark, where they will engage with the LEGO Friends Design Team to turn the Winner' ideas into a design for an actual LEGO Friends product. This will also include a LEGO minidoll figurine in the Winner's likeness! (using existing LEGO Friends elements)

2. This Competition is sponsored by LEGO System A/S, Aastvej 1, 7190 Billund, Denmark.
By participating in this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
3. Eligibility:The competition is open to participants, ranging from 6 to 12 years old, worldwide, except as may be prohibited by law and excluding Brazil and the Canadian province of Quebec.
All Entrants must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are not eligible to enter if you are an employee, partner or immediate family member of an employee of the LEGO Group or any third party company or agency directly connected with the creation or administration of this Promotion.
LEGO ID required for entry. If you do not have a LEGO ID, you may obtain one at no cost at https://account2.lego.com/en-us/registration/register after accepting the Terms of Service. Ask your parents for permission before going online.

4. Entry period: All entries must be received within the “Entry Period,” which begins on the 26th of December 2016 at 11:00 am CEST and ends on the 28th of February 2017 at 4:00 pm CEST. Any Entries received after this time shall not be valid.

WHAT IS AN INSPIRATIONAL MODEL?Use LEGO bricks and start building a concept model about a new social place in Heartlake City. You can use any LEGO bricks, elements and minidolls or minifigures for your models, there is no limit to your imagination! You can build your model using real life bricks or using the LEGO Digital Designer software (available only in English) that can be downloaded with no cost here: http://ldd.lego.com/
YOUR INSPIRATIONAL MODEL
You must be the original creator of all creative work you submit (the inspirational LEGO model, images, photographs, description text, etc.) and you must have the exclusive right to submit your model to this contest. You agree not to upload images that belong to someone else as a part of your project, even if that person gives you permission. If you want someone else’s idea to become a reality through this LEGO® Friends contest, please ask them to submit it.
Collaborations between builders are not permitted for this contest
Your Inspirational Model may be based on something that already exists in general, such as a school, an airplane, or a firetruck. We refer to such things as “generic ideas.” If your inspirational model is based on a generic idea, be sure to add your own personal touches to make it stand out. Keep in mind that other Entrants may be submitting Entries based on the same generic idea.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY

Log in with your LEGO ID or create one for free at https://account2.lego.com/en-us/registration/register (your LEGO ID should have a valid email address for your parent so that we may verify that they consent to your participation and we can contact them).
Upload 4 pictures of your Inspirational Model, showing it from all sides.
Tell us the title of your Inspirational Model.
If you want, write a brief description of what inspired you to create your model—no more than 100 characters.
Push the “Submit album” button onscreen to complete your Entry.
You can also ask your parents to submit your entry on Facebook. If you are a parent and you wish to submit your kids’ entry, you can do it by following the next steps:

If you are one of the 20 semifinalists, we will contact your parents to request their consent. Please note that parental consent must be provided before the 9th of March 2017 or your Entry will not be considered; please allow sufficient time for your parent or legal guardian to get back to us with their consent by that date to avoid being disqualified.

Your Entry must consist of 4 pictures of your Inspirational Model, showing it from every angle. The entire model should be covered with these 4 pictures.
The Entry cannot have been previously published or submitted in any Competition of any kind.
Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove your Entry and disqualify you from the Competition if it believes that your Entry fails to conform to these Guidelines and Restrictions
By submitting your entry to this contest/competition, you and your parents/legal guardian acknowledge and consent to LEGO® producing your idea as a commercial product.
Once the entry period ends your Entry is locked and can’t be edited. Your Entry will be judged based on how it appears at the time of Entry. Pictures may not be added or replaced later. Be sure your Entry is exactly as you want it before you submit it.
We will communicate with you through your parents’ email provided when creating your LEGO ID. Please make sure that they check their email regularly during the contest and at the time the winners are scheduled to be announced.
Please note that if the LEGO® Friends team have questions about the Inspirational Model you submitted, they might contact your parents to set up Skype meetings with you and your family. Those Skype meetings will be recorded and LEGO might use the footage for promotional purposes if your parents/legal guardians agree.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

REMEMBER TO ASK YOUR PARENTS IF YOU AND YOUR FAMILY/GUARDIAN WILL BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO DENMARK IN THESE DATES BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY.
CONFIRM THAT YOU AND ALL WHO WILL BE TRAVELING HAVE THE PASSPORTS AND DOCUMENTATION NEEDED TO MAKE THE TRIP.
ALL TRAVELERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A RELEASE OF LIABILITY BEFORE TRAVEL TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED.
Inspirational Model Subject Matter: Inspirational Models related to the topics below do not fit our brand values and will not be approved for publication and submission to this contest:
Politics and political symbols, campaigns, or movements;
Religious references including symbols, buildings, or people;
Sex, drugs, or smoking;
Alcohol in any present day situation;
Swearing;
Death, killing, blood, terrorism, or torture;
Warfare or war vehicles in any modern or present-day situation, or national war memorials;
Racism, bullying, or cruelty to real life animals;
Material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including without limitation, privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights infringement;
The Entry must not disparage Sponsor or any other person or party affiliated with the Competition;
The Entry must show only the entrant’s creation, which must represent an object which is or could be built from LEGO® bricks and other LEGO® elements;
Entries must not show any identifiable feature of any person, or any product, trademark, or copyrighted property of any other person or business entity;
The Entry must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
The Entry must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
The Entry must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state or province where Entry is created;
Determinations on the above criteria will be made by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
6. Limitations on Number of Entries: There is no limit on the number of Entries submitted per person or household.
7. Intellectual Property: By uploading your Entry you are providing your consent to grant the Sponsor a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual (or for the entire term of duration of intellectual property rights), non-exclusive, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such Entry in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed for Competition or marketing purposes of Sponsor's products. THIS CONSENT EXPLICITLY INCLUDES YOUR CONSENT FOR THE LEGO GROUP TO PRODUCE AND SELL PRODUCTS BASED ON THE ENTRY. If requested, entrant agrees to sign any documentation that may be required for Sponsor or its designees to fully exploit the above-referenced license grant to the Entry. In granting Sponsor such license, entrant will represent and warrant that the Entry remains unpublished and does not in any way infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights.
8. Prize(s): The following Prizes will be awarded:
Semifinalist Prizes: 20 Semifinalists will each win 1 LEGO Friends set for themselves, and 1 LEGO Friends set for them to give to their best friend. The approximate retail value of each LEGO Friends set to be awarded is €69,99/$69,99.
The prizes will be delivered on the postal address of the semifinalists after the Grand Prize Winner has been announced.
Finalist Prizes: 10 Finalists will also win one of each of the LEGO Friends sets launched in the 2017 product assortment. The approximate retail value of each Finalist Prize is €790/$790. The prizes will be delivered on the postal address of the finalists after the Grand Prize Winner has been announced and after the time the LEGO Friends set in the 2017 product assortment have been launched
Grand Prize: One Grand Prize Winner will also receive the following:
1 week trip for her/his family to Billund, Denmark. The Grand Prize will cover airfare for a maximum of 2 children (including the Winner) and 2 adults, at least one of which must be a parent or legal guardian of the Winner, in tourist or economy class, which must be taken from March 27, 2017 to April 1, 2017. During the experience, the winner’s family will stay at Hotel LEGOLAND ® (one family-size room, quad occupancy with value 11.000 DKK (approximately €1.478/$1.635) and will be provided with a behind the scenes tour to visit LEGOLAND® Park in Billund-Denmark during their stay that values 1.500 DKK (approximately €201,57/$223,08). Additionally, the Winner’s family will receive 9000 DKK (approximately €1.209/ $1.338) to cover food and miscellaneous expenses during their stay and will be granted with a rental car with an average value of 3.000 DKK (approximately €134,38/ $148,72) plus a voucher to cover gas costs up to 1.000 DKK (approximately €201,57/$223,08).
The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is 240.000 DKK (approximately €32.252/$35.693) but may be slightly more or less depending on airfare costs.
The winner will visit the LEGO Headquarters and will get to become a LEGO Designer for a week, being part of the design process of the final model that will take as inspiration the winner’s design. For this purpose, the winner will guide and help the LEGO Designers during the design process.
The winner will be represented as one of the 2 minidolls to be featured in the final model. The Grand Prize Winner will build herself/himself as a minidoll from existing parts in the current LEGO portfolio.
The LEGO Friends set to be produced based on the Grand Prize Winner’s Inspirational Model will be sold in Toys’R’Us stores in those countries where Toys’R’Us operates, LEGO Stores, on Shop.LEGO.com, and in LEGOLAND Stores. Additionally, the set may be sold through other retailers in countries where Toys’R’Us does not operate
Any expenses not mentioned above, including ground transportation to and from the Grand Prize Winner’s home and the departure airport, are solely the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner.
All prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives are available. Prizes are subject to availability and the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equal or greater value if necessary, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
9. Selection of Potential Winners and Odds of Winning:
The selection process will take place in three different stages:
From all global submissions, 20 semifinalists will be selected by the LEGO Friends team. These 20 finalists will be announced on the 13th of March of 2017. If the LEGO® Friends team considers you a candidate to become one of the 20 semifinalists, they will contact your parents through your LEGO ID contact to set up telephone or Skype calls to meet you and your family. These Skype calls will be recorded and can be used for promotional purposes if your parents or legal guardian agree. Being contacted and interviewed won’t necessarily entitle you to be one of the 20 semifinalists, until the LEGO Friends team have certified you as official semifinalist Prize Winners. Upon certification of the semifinalist Prize Winners, semifinalists will be announced at LEGO.com/friendsdesigner and other LEGO® channels.
The LEGO Friends team will select 10 finalists from the 20 semifinalists hat will be announced on the 15th of March on LEGO.com/friendsdesigner and other LEGO® channels. If the LEGO™ Friends team considers you a candidate to become one of the 10 semifinalists, they will contact your parents through your LEGO ID contact to set up telephone or Skype calls to inform you of your being selected. These calls will be recorded and can be used for promotional purposes If your parents or legal guardian agree. Being contacted and interviewed won’t necessarily entitle you to be one of the 10 finalists, until the Judges have certified you as official finalist Prize Winners.
A Jury Panel will choose the ultimate Grand Prize Winner. The Winner will be announced on the 17th of March 2017 on LEGO.com/friendsdesigner and other LEGO® channels.

The odds of winning will depend on the skill and talent of the entrant, as assessed by the LEGO Friends team and the Judges, and on the number of eligible entries received.
Competition and judging schedule:
26th December 2016 – Submission period starts at 11:00 am CEST.
28th February 2017 – Submission period ends at 4:00 pm CEST.
13th March 2017 – 20 semifinalists will be announced by LEGO.
15th March 2017 – 10 finalists will be announced by LEGO.
17th March 2017 – The winner will be announced by LEGO.
10. Claiming the Prizes and Certification of Winners: Potential Winners will need to verify their eligibility for and acceptance of their Prizes to the satisfaction of the Judges during the scheduled telephone or Skype calls. If a Potential Winner cannot be certified as a Prize Winner, in time for the Competition to proceed on schedule, a new Potential Winner will be selected from all remaining eligible Entries received before the Closing Date, in accordance with the Selection procedure above.
11. Certification of Potential Grand Prize Winner: The Potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete and return a set of Winners’ Documents consisting of (i) a statement of eligibility; and (ii) a release of liability; and (iii) a publicity release (except were prohibited by law); and (iv) a prize acceptance form. The Potential Grand Prize Winner’s parent or legal guardian of the Potential Winner will be required to sign the Winners’ Documents. Upon receipt of the fully executed Winners’ Documents, and confirmation by the Judges, the Potential Grand Prize Winner will be certified as the official Grand Prize Winner.
12. Data Privacy: By entering the Competition, you agree to your personal information being used for the purposes described in these Official Rules and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://aboutus.lego.com/enus/corporate/privacypolicy.aspx.

13. Additional Rules
By entering a Competition, you warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. The LEGO Group reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants. The LEGO Group reserves the right to remove all submitted Entries if these instructions are not followed and/or if a participant is found to have cheated. Further, the LEGO Group reserves the right not to award a prize (and to select an alternative winner) if it becomes aware or has reasonable grounds to believe a winner is not eligible.
The winner and the winner’s family agree to not disclose any confidential information they may encounter while on site and may be required to sign and NDA.
Competitions must be entered as per any instructions set out for the competition in question on the LEGO websites and channels.
The LEGO Group takes no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries.
By entering this Competition the Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the name LEGO, the LEGO logo, trade names and trademarks (together Trademarks) of the LEGO Group are exclusively property of the LEGO Group, and the entrant must not use or misuse the Trademarks.
No exchange of the Trademarks, from the LEGO Group to the Entrant, will take place in regards to this Competition.

The Entrant grants the LEGO Group the right to use any information submitted in connection with the competition including but not limited to, names, country of residents, appearances, likeness, and voice (Information) in any manner, media, and materials for non-commercial and commercial purposes on a worldwide basis without payment or compensation.
Any material and results of the competition both submitted and produced as a result of the competition, including but not limited to photos, video recordings, sound recordings, Inspirational Model, minidoll version of the participant (Materials), shall become the property of the LEGO Group and the LEGO Group shall be entitled to use, make available, reproduce, modify, adapt, copy and distribute such Materials in any manner and for any commercial and non-commercial purposes on a worldwide basis including but not limited to websites of the LEGO Group, and social media channels, advertisements and promotions without payment or compensation to the Entrant.
Entries will not be returned. All Entries, excluding the images submitted in connection with the Competition, shall become the property of Sponsor and may be used for other marketing activities.
If you are the Winner, you agree that the Sponsor may use your first name and town or country of residence to announce the Winner of this Competition.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, or illegible entry materials, or for entries not received prior to the entry deadline.
Any Entry made or attempted in a manner which in the Sponsor’s reasonable opinion is contrary to the spirit of these Official Rules, or by its nature is unfair to other entrants, will be invalid and may result in your disqualification from the Competition.
Reporting prize winnings and paying any applicable taxes, governmental fees, and other expenses resulting from winning a prize are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner unless otherwise stated; Winners are encouraged to check local tax implications.

1. Overview: Entrants to the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition who are residents of Australia will be automatically entered into a “Bonus Competition” to win the entire LEGO Friends range launching January 2017 for the winner and his/her best friend. See LEGO.com/FriendsDesigner for details on how to enter the global LEGO Friends Designer Competition, and thereby be entered into this Bonus Competition.
2. Sponsor: This Competition is sponsored by LEGO Australia Pty Limited, Level 2, 1 Innovation Rd, Macquarie Park, NSW 2113, P.O. Box 8566, North Ryde BC, NSW 1670, Australia.
By participating in this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
3. Eligibility: To enter this Competition you must be between the ages of 6 and 12, as of the start of the Entry Period, be a legal resident of Australia except as may be prohibited by law, and submit a valid entry to the Competition.
Furthermore, you must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are not eligible to enter if you are an employee, partner or immediate family member of an employee of the LEGO Group or any third party company or agency directly connected with the creation or administration of this Promotion.

4. Entry period: You must submit your Entry within the Entry Period, which begins at 26th of December 2016 at 7pm AEST and ends 28th of February 2017 at 11.59pm AEST (“Entry Period”). Any Entries received after this time shall not be valid.
5. How to enter: See the Official Rules for the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition at LEGO.com/FriendsDesigner for information on how to enter. By entering the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition, residents of the countries eligible to participate in this local competition will be entered into the local competition as well.
6. Limitations on Number of Entries: There is no limit on the number of Entries submitted per person or household. Each entry into the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition will also provide an entry into the Bonus Competition for residents of Australia.
7. Intellectual Property: All Intellectual Property Rights provisions of the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition also apply to this Bonus Competition.
8. Prize(s): In addition to the prizes to be awarded in the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition, the following Prizes will be awarded in this Bonus Competition:
One (1) 1st prize winner from Australia will receive the entire LEGO Friends range launching January 2017 for the winner and his/her best friend. The approximate retail value of the LEGO® Friends sets to be awarded is $927.70AUD. The prize will be delivered at the postal address of the finalists after the Winner(s) has been announced and after the LEGO® Friends sets in the 2017 product line assortment have been launched.
One (1) 2nd prize winner will receive a LEGO Friends Prize pack (approximate retail value of $180AUD).
One (1) 3rd prize winner will receive a LEGO Friends Set (approximate retail value of $60AUD).
The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The prize is subject to availability and the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative prize of equal or greater value if necessary, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
9. Selection of Potential Winners: The Potential Winner will be selected by the members of the LEGO Marketing Team in conjunction with the LEGO Friends designers (the “Judges”). The Bonus Competition Prize Winner remain eligible to win a prize in the global LEGO® Friends Designer Competition.
