Information on how to enter and details of the prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions of entry.
Entry into this competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over that are an HCF member. HCF employees (and their immediate family members) and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. An ‘immediate family member’ includes any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
The competition commences on 22 October 2015 at 5pm (AEDST) and ends on 15 December 2015 at 5pm (AEDST) (Promotion Period).
To enter, individuals must undertake the following steps during the Promotion Period: download the HCF Fit&Well magazine application; and
send an email to hcfmagazinemail@hcf.com.au with the subject title “iPad Mini” containing their full name, telephone number and HCF membership number and an answer to the question “What you most like about the Fit&Well magazine application?” in 25 words or less.
Only one (1) entry permitted per person. Entries must be received by no later than 5pm (AEDST) on 15 December 2015.
HCF reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who HCF has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions of entry, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at HCF’s discretion. Failure by the HCF to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. HCF’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, HCF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
Judging will take place commencing on 17 December 2015 at 11am (AEDST) at 403 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Entries will be judged by marketing team. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit of the answer provided to the promotional question.
The judges' decision if final and binding – no correspondence will be entered into.
The best 10 valid entries as determined by the judges will each win the prize. The prize is an Apple iPad mini 4 16GB + Wi-Fi valued at $569 (RRP). Winners will be responsible for making all arrangements for connection with a service provider and payment of all associated connection, access and any internet charges.
The total prize pool value is $5,690 (RRP). Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not exchangeable or transferable to any other person.
The winners are responsible for all other costs and expenses in any way associated with their prize.
The prize winners will be notified by email. The winners must claim the prize by 5pm (AEDST) on 16 February 2016. If for any reason a winner does not take/redeem the prize by this time, then that prize will be forfeited.
If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
‘iPad mini’ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Apple Inc is not a participant in or sponsor of this competition.
As a condition of entering this competition, each entrant licenses and grants the Promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry (which shall include Content) for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.
All entries remain the property of HCF.
The information entrants provide will be used by HCF for the purposes of conducting this competition. Entrants consent to HCF using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by HCF.
If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of HCF, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, HCF reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, as appropriate.

Entry is conditional on providing this personal information. HCF will also use and handle personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at all HCF branches, by calling 13 13 34 or at hcf.com.au. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of HCF. HCF will not disclose entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia.
