“STUDENT FLIGHTS ‘Travel with Frenchy’ PHOTO COMPETITION”
The Promoter
The Promoter” is Flight Centre Travel Group trading as Student Flights ABN 25 003 377 188 ACN 003 377 188. Head Office, Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.
Conditions of Entry
Entrants into the Promotion (Entrants) and their companion must be 18 years of age or over to be eligible to win a Prize.
The Promoter may require Entrants and their companion to provide proof of age in a form acceptable to the Promoter. Should an Entrant or their companion be unable to satisfy this requirement, the Entrant will be ineligible to win a Prize.
If requested by the Promoter (in its sole discretion), Entrants and their companion must sign an indemnity and exclusion of liability form in a form acceptable to the Promoter in order to be eligible to win and participate in the Prize.
Entrants (and their companion) must, in order to be declared a Prize winner, be able to travel to the United States of America (US) for up to three (3) nights’ at any time between Monday 31st August 2015 and Sunday 4th October 2015 (Travel Date) in order to participate in the Prize (as determined by the Promoter in the Promoter’s absolute and sole discretion).
Dates and schedules of the Prize are not under the Promoter’s control and are subject to change. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any date or schedule changes.
Entrants (and their companion) must, in order to be declared a Prize winner:
(i) be the holder of a current Australian passport with at least 6 months validity from the Travel Date; or
(ii) be a Permanent Resident (non-citizen who holds a permanent visa) of Australia and be the holder of a current passport with at least 6 months validity from the Travel Date.
The Prize winners and their companions are responsible for any visa requirements associated with the Prize. If a Prize winner and/or their companion is unable to obtain a relevant visa or travel document, and/or is refused entry into any country forming part of the Prize (as specified by the Promoter), the Prize winner will forfeit the Prize, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion.
In entering this Promotion, the Entrant acceptances these terms and conditions of entry.
Entrants who enter the Promotion via Instagram or Facebook must have their profile set to public for their entry to be deemed valid. They must be over the age of 18 to enter the promotion.
Any costs associated with accessing the Promotion the responsibility of each entrant and are dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.
Entries which are incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, illegible or incomprehensible or which infringe intellectual property rights will be deemed invalid.
Employees of Flight Centre Travel Group Limited, their immediate families and suppliers, associated companies and agencies are not permitted to enter.
The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition. The Prize Winner and their guest may be used to market the Promoter’s services to the entrant. The personal information of the entrants will be held and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which is available at www.studentflights.com.au. The personal information of winners may be provided to others assisting, including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this competition. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
Promotional Period
The competition commences at 10.00AM (AEST) on Monday 3rd August, 2015.
The competition closes at 10.00AM AEST (AEST) on Monday 31st August 2015.
Entry Mechanic
Eligible entrants can enter the promotion by one (1) of three (3) ways;
Instagram
a) Follow @studentflightsau on instagram and upload a photograph of a their favourite travel moment in the destination outlined each week by Frenchy, with the hashtags #neverstoptravelling, #studentflights and @studentflightsau included in the post.
b) Entries will not be eligible unless the entrant follows @studentflightsau on Instagram.
c) Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of the Promoter's hashtag (#) search (which will occur within 24 hours after the end of the Promotion Period). Entrants must ensure their Instagram profile is set to public at least 24 hours prior to the end of the Promotion Period and for at least 24hours after the Promotion Period ends to ensure their entry appears in the Promoter's hashtag (#) search.
d) The entry each winner that is deemed the best will be announced in a video hosted by Frenchy on Student Flight’s Facebook page the day of each draw. This Entrant will be award a prize
Facebook
a) Entrant can post their travel photo to Student Flights Facebook page on the competition post.

Direct Upload
a) Entrant can upload their travel photo directly to the promotion page with the hashtags #neverstoptravelling and #studentflights.

Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter.
Entries must be received by the Promoters during the Promotion Period. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
Maximum Number of Entries
A single entrant can enter a maximum of 25 photos during the competition period 3rd August – 31st August.
For the avoidance of doubt, Entrants may only win one (1) prize.
Selection of Prize Winner
Minor Prize
Each winner will be awarded one (1) travel gift card Prize (at the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter), valued at $250 AUD (incl. GST) per Prize.
The Minor Prize consists of the following component:
a) One (1) x $250AUD Student Flights Gift Card
Minor Prize Terms and Conditions
i. Gift Cards are redeemable at participating FCTG retail stores located within Australia.
ii. Unless otherwise stated on the Gift Card, Gift Cards are valid for use within 12 months from the date of issue.
iii. Gift Cards may only be applied up to the maximum value loaded onto the Gift Card which is unspent at the time of use. Where the cost of purchase exceeds the available balance of the Gift Card, the excess amount must be paid by another payment method.
iv. Gift Cards may be redeemed in whole or part during the validity period. Where used in part, no change will be given. Any unused balance may be used against future purchases, but will not be refunded or credited when the Gift Card expires.
v. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded.
vi. Gift Cards may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, traveller’s cheques, cash passports or any other form of currency.
vii. You are responsible for the use and security of your Gift Card. Lost or stolen Gift Cards may not be replaced or refunded. You are liable for all transactions on your Gift Card except those caused by fraud or negligence by FCTG or its employees.
viii. Defaced, mutilated or altered Gift Cards may not be accepted, replaced or refunded.
ix. Gift Cards may not be used for payment of credit or retailer accounts.
x. Personal information collected in relation to your Gift Card will be handled in accordance with FCTG’s Privacy Policy which is available at www.flightcentre.com.au or in store.
xi. The laws of Australia apply to these terms and conditions and any disputes arising in relation to them.
xii. Questions or problems relating to Gift Cards should be directed to FCTG’s Gift Cards department ongift_cards@flightcentre.com or (03) 9026 3859. Complaints about purchases made with a Gift Card should be resolved directly with the store concerned.
Major Prize
Each winner will be awarded one (1) travel Prize for the winner and up to one (1) companion (companion must be aged 18 years or older, to be determined by the Prize winner and approved by the Promoter in its sole discretion) to the United States of America (US), for up to three (3) nights between Monday 31st August 2015 and Sunday 4th October 2015 (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion), valued at up to $7,000.00AUD (incl GST) per Prize.
The Prize comprises of the following components:
a) two (2) adult economy return airfares from the Australian capital city closest to the ordinary residential address of the Prize winner to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges). For the avoidance of doubt, if the Australian capital city closest to the ordinary residential address of the Prize winner is Sydney, New South Wales, the Prize winner will not receive this element of the Prize
b) up to three (3) nights’ accommodation in a minimum four (4) star hotel, twin share, in Los Angeles, to be shared by the Prize winner and their companion (includes daily breakfast);
c) transfers for the Prize winner and their companion return from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the hotel.
d) Up to three (3) days with Frenchy in Los Angeles
Major Prize Terms and Conditions
As a condition of accepting and participating in the Prize, the Prize winner and their companion acknowledge and agree:
i. that they may be required to attend, undergo and pass any appropriate training, briefings, safety demonstrations, requisite medical tests and other requirements of the Promoter and any partnering clients as determined by them in their absolute discretion;
ii. that the Promoter, its partnering clients and/or its agents may film, photograph and record the Prize winner and their companion (including, but not limited to, during the course of their participation in the Prize) and that such footage will be the property of the Promoter and may be edited;
iii. that the Promoter, its agents and/or its partnering clients may use the winning entry and the Prize winner’s and their companion’s names, likeness, images and/or voices (including photograph, film or recording of the same) from (but not limited to) their participation in the Prize, in any media for an unlimited period without further notification, compensation or remuneration for the purpose of promoting, publicizing or marketing this promotion (including the Prize and any outcome) and/or promoting any products or services manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter and/or its partnering clients.
iv. The Prize winner and their companion agree that they will participate in all reasonable promoted activities in relation to the promotion as requested by the Promoter and its partnering agents;
v. that they may be required to agree to a code of conduct and/or sign a legal release or releases in the form determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion prior to participating in the Prize. Failure to do so as determined by the Promoter (in the Promoter’s absolute and sole discretion) will result in the Prize winner forfeiting their Prize;
vi. that they may be required to participate in the Prize in accordance with any rules of engagement determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion and provided to the winner and their companion (if any) prior to travel (Rules); and
vii. that should they breach these Terms of Entry whilst taking the Prize the Promoter may, in its discretion, immediately invalidate the relevant Prize winner’s entry, withdraw all further rights to the Prize and direct the Prize winner and their companion to immediately return to Australia at their own expense. This action will be determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
a) All Entrants must be available to travel between Monday 31st August 2015 and Sunday 4th October 2015
b) Once booked, the Prize cannot be amended or altered.
c) All components of the Prize must be taken together and when offered or are forfeited. Any element of the Prize not taken will be deemed to be forfeited. The Prize winner and their companion must travel together and participate in the Prize together at all times.
d) Participation in the Prize and any tickets, passes or vouchers issued as part of the Prize is conditional on acceptance of terms and conditions as detailed by the Promoter, any prize providers and the airline carriers in accordance with normal travel practices.
e) All components of the Prize are to be arranged by a representative of the Promoter and/or an agent nominated by the Promoter in its sole discretion.
f) If the Prize winner and their companion miss any flights or transfers as listed as part of the Prize, the Prize winner may forfeit the Prize (at the Promoter’s absolute and sole discretion).
g) The Prize winner and their companion must:
i. be the holder of a current Australian passport with at least 6 months validity from the Travel Date; or
ii. be a Permanent Resident (non-citizen who holds a permanent visa) of Australia and be the holder of a current passport with at least 6 months validity from the Travel Date.
The Prize winner and their companion must provide a copy of their passports and Australian permanent residency visa (if applicable) at the time of winning to verify validity. If a Prize winner and/or their companion do not supply their passports and/or Australian permanent residency visas (if applicable) as requested, the Prize winner will forfeit the Prize as determined by the Promoter in the Promoter’s absolute and sole discretion.
h) The Prize winner and their companion must prepare and obtain all necessary paperwork and apply for any relevant visas to enable them to travel to, and remain in, the USA and to participate in the Prize. Prize winners should consult the Embassy or Consulate of The United States of America for up-to-date information to ensure they can obtain the required visa prior to travel, in order to accept the Prize. If the Prize winner and/or their companion is unable to obtain the relevant visas or travel documents, and/or is refused entry into the US, the Prize winner will forfeit the Prize as determined by the Promoter in the Promoter’s absolute and sole discretion.
i) Passports, visas, additional spending money, meals, additional activities and any other ancillary costs, including, but not limited to, travel insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the Prize details above are the responsibility of the Prize winner and their companion as incurred.
j) It is the Prize winner's and their companion’s responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point.
k) The Promoter, and any Prize provider, take no responsibility for loss or injury suffered by the Prize winner and/or their companion as a result of taking the Prize.
l) The Prize winner and their companion must obtain their own valid travel insurance for their period of travel and adequate for the countries of travel.
m) No portion of the Prize is redeemable for cash. The Prize is not refundable or transferable.
n) The Prize winner and/or their companion must have a valid credit card.
o) The Promoter and Prize providers accept no responsibility for any changes and/or cancellations to the events or activities. In the event that one or more events or activities are no longer available, the remainder of the Prize shall constitute the complete and total Prize. The Promoter will not enter into any further correspondence with the winner and his/her nominated companion.
p) Taking the Prize is subject to the Rules (if any) and any prevailing terms and conditions of any accommodation/transport/experience/ services/transfers/travel insurance or tour providers, and in particular, health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. The Prize winner and their companion must follow the Rules (if any) and all reasonable directions given by the Promoter and any Prize supplier during the course of their participation in the Prize, including all directions in relation to health, age, behaviour, safety, legal and responsible consumption of alcohol. No compensation will be payable if the Prize winner and/or their companion are unable to use any element of the Prize as stated for whatever reason, including refusal of entry or departure into or out of the US or participation in any other activities for health, age, behaviour or safety reasons. If the Prize winner or their companion fails to participate in the Prize in the manner required, as stated in this condition and/or in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter or any Prize supplier, the balance of the Prize will be forfeited with no compensation payable.
q) The Prize winner and their companion must adhere to any and all local government laws and regulations, including around the consumption of alcohol and gambling. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any actions taken by local authorities if the Prize winner and/or their companion break any local laws. The Prize winner and their companion should make themselves aware of the local laws and penalties of the US.
r) The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade issues travel warnings and updates for travelers. The Promoter recommends that the Prize winner and their companion consult www.smarttraveller.com.au for advice and information prior to undertaking travel.
s) Transfers outlined in the Prize details above are at the absolute and sole discretion of the Promoter. Any additional transfers, including taxis, will need to be covered by the Prize winner and their companion.
t) The Prize winner and their companion must be in good health and must not have any pre-existing medical conditions that would prohibit them from flying to, entering and remaining in the US, or participating in any way in the Prize. The Prize winner and their companion must declare to the Promoter and/or any prize supplier any health-related issues that may affect their safe participation in any part of the Prize and obtain a written clearance from their doctor in this respect.
u) The Prize winner and their companion must not be under the influence of any drugs and may consume alcohol in moderation but must not be under the influence of alcohol during any activities to the extent that it impairs or affects their understanding, judgment or participation in the activities, and subject to any limitations of the Promoter, any Prize supplier and the prevailing laws and regulations of the US.
v) The Prize winner and their companion must not have a criminal record, outstanding warrants or any infringement notices that would prevent them from entering the US.
w) The Prize winner and their companion consent to the Promoter conducting a criminal record check prior to their participation in the Prize. The Promoter may, in its sole and absolute discretion, refuse the Prize winner and/or their companion’s participation in the Prize, if the Prize winner and/or their companion have a criminal record or any criminal charges pending. In these circumstances, the Prize winner and/or their companion will forfeit all claims in relation to the Prize.
x) The Promoter and/or any Prize supplier in their absolute discretion: (a) reserve the right to refuse to allow the Prize winner or their companion to take part in any or all aspects of the Prize if they reasonably believe the Prize winner or their companion poses a safety risk or for any other reason; and (b) may cancel the relevant component of the Prize if the conditions are deemed dangerous. No compensation will be payable if the Prize winner or their companion are unable to use any element of the Prize as stated for whatever reason, including refusal of participation in certain activities for health, age, behaviour or safety reasons.
y) The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the Prize winner or their companion, prohibit the Prize winner’s or their companion’s participation in the Prize or any component of the Prize, or otherwise cease to provide any Prize benefit to the winner or their companion, if the Prize winner or their companion act in a way, or cause material to be published, which the Promoter in its sole discretion deems to be inappropriate, aggressive, defamatory, offensive, or contrary to law or the Rules (if any), to diminish the good name or reputation of any Prize supplier and/or the Promoter, its products and/or services or any of its related bodies corporate, or is otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize winner can be disqualified after the Prize winner is notified and published if the Prize winner or their companion is found to have not acted in accordance with these Terms of Entry. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
z) The Prize winner must have a mobile phone with them at all times during their participation in the Prize, and they must be able to make and receive calls while in overseas locations via global roaming. All costs of the winner’s mobile phone will be the responsibility of the winner. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any additional costs associated with a winner taking or using a mobile phone during the Prize, including but not limited to all call, data and roaming charges.
aa) Any necessary vaccinations are the responsibility of the Prize winner and their companion.
Judge Criteria
Each valid entry receive within the Promotional Period will be individually judged by a representative of the Promoter. A representative of the Promoter will judge each valid entry received based off the creativity, individuality, humour, relevance and suitability for publication across Facebook, Instagram and in video of the entry.
The ‘best’ enter received throughout the promotion (at the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter) will be awarded a Major Prize.
The next 3 entries deemed the ‘best’ (at the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter) will be awarded a Minor Prize.
For the avoidance of doubt, all prizes awarded are at the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter.
Judging
Judging to determine three (3) Minor Winners will occur at a representative of The Promoter premises (insert Frenchy’s address) and will occur on the below days and times
Judging Round One (1): 10.00AM (AEST) Monday 10th August, 2015.
Judging Round Two (2): 10.00AM (AEST) Monday 17th August, 2015.
Judging Round Three (3): 10.00AM (AEST) Monday 24th August, 2015.
Judging to determine one (1) Major Winner will occur at a representative of The Promoter premises (insert Frenchy’s address) and will occur on the below days and times
10.00AM (AEST) Monday 31st August, 2015.
The Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result of the draw.
Winner Notification
Each prize winner will be announced in a video hosted by Frenchy on Student Flight’s Facebook page the day of each draw.
The Prize Winner will be required to email their details to social@studentflights.com.au and prove their identity and association with the winning Instagram profile or photo entry to Facebook or promotion page.
Prize Claim and Unclaimed Date and Time.
The Prize Winners will have until 9.00AM (AEST) on Monday 7th September, 2015 to claim their prize.
If any prizes have not been claimed by the winner s by 10.00AM (AEST) on Monday 7th September, 2015 ("the unclaimed prize"), an unclaimed prize draw for the unclaimed prize will occur at 12.00PM (AEST) on Tuesday 8th September 2015. The unclaimed prize draw will be judged by a panel of judges at Flight Centre Travel Group Limited Travel Group Limited Head Office, Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. The unclaimed prize draw winners will be judged on how creative and original their photo entry is.
The winner/s will be notified by a comment on their winning entry on Instagram (tagging their account name where possible), by email if entry is submitted via. the promotion page, or by a Facebook comment on the Student Flights Facebook competition post at the time of the draw (tagging the winners Facebook profile name where possible).
