What are the prizes?
Three winners will each receive a copy of The Gatsby Gambit by Claire Anderson-Wheeler. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and if any part of the prize becomes unavailable, Hachette may substitute it with another item of equal value.
What is the total prize pool amount?
The total prize pool consists of three copies of The Gatsby Gambit. The estimated retail price of each book will be specified at the time of publication, but the exact value is subject to change and is not guaranteed as cash or alternative benefits.
Are there any additional conditions related to the prizes?
Winners are responsible for any taxes and expenses not specifically included in the prize, such as travel, accommodation, or food. If a prize includes travel or attendance at an event, winners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
What happens if a winner cannot be contacted?
If a winner does not respond to the notification of winning by 1 May 2025 or fails to comply with the competition terms, they may forfeit their prize, and an alternative winner may be selected.
Is there any liability for Hachette?
Hachette is not responsible for any loss or damage of prizes during transit or for any issues that may prevent an entrant from participating in the competition. Winners are also responsible for insuring against their own losses.
What personal information is collected?
Entrants will need to provide personal information such as name, email address, residential address, and contact number. This information will be used to conduct the competition and will be handled in accordance with Hachette's Privacy Policy.
