Entry Method To enter, during the competition period, entrants must;

Judging Criteria Each valid entry will be individually judged (by representatives of the Promoter)
based on, among other things, creativity, originality, literary merit and suitability.

Notification of Winners The Winner will be notified by supplied email and the winner’s name will be
published on collectivehub.com/cathay-pacific-comp within 2 days of being
determined. The winner of the Prize will be contacted on or before 2:00pm (AEDT)
on 10th February 2019.
Prize Claim Date and Time The winner must claim the Prize by no later than 5pm (AEDT) on 20th February
2019.

Terms and Conditions of the Prize 1. The flight component of the prize is valid for travel only between 10 February
2019 and 10 February 2020. Black-out dates may apply. All travel must be
completed within this period. Unused components are non-refundable, nontransferable and cannot be redeemed for other services and/or cash. Prizes
cannot be used in conjunction with travel discounts or special offers. In the event
a winner does not take the prize, then the entire prize will be forfeited by the
winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.
2. Any extension or variation of the travel dates nominated by Cathay Pacific
Airways will be at the cost and responsibility of the winner. Any requests to
extend or vary travel arrangements must be made in writing and must be
received by Cathay Pacific Airways. Once booked, any changes made to the
booking may incur a cancellation or amendment fee, at the cost and
responsibility of the winner.
3. The winner and travelling companion must travel at the same time and on the
same flight; must depart from one of the following Cathay Pacific ports in
Australi Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide or Perth (“departure
city”) and return to the same departure city; and are responsible for transport
from their residence to their nearest departure city for flight departure.
4. Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of Cathay Pacific
Airways and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be
adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight
schedule.
5. Airline ticket will be issued electronically and valid for travel on Cathay Pacific
services only, over the specified routing and in the class of travel as stated.
These tickets are non-refundable, non-negotiable and non-transferable.
6. Throughout the year, priority is always given to passengers who have purchased
a ticket. During peak periods (Australian school holidays, Christmas/New Year,
Easter, Hong Kong Rugby Sevens and Chinese New Year periods) if a flight is
overbooked, you may be asked to travel on a later flight or on another day.
Should this occur, Cathay Pacific Airways does not accept responsibility for any
loss or damages resulting from any interruption to your travel plans.
7. Tickets awarded as part of this prize are not eligible for frequent flyer points
including, but not limited to, Asia Miles and Qantas Frequent Flyer points and
cannot be upgraded to a higher cabin class by using frequent flyer points or with
payment. Tickets cannot be used in conjunction with travel discounts or special
offers
8. The winner and his or her travel companion are responsible for complying with
health and any other government requirements that may apply to the prize. All
prize travel will be subject to the carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage. It is the
traveller’s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid travel
documentation, including valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements
of government authorities at the relevant destinations. Any fines, penalties,
payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting
the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the
traveller/s. Cathay Pacific Airways makes no representation as to the safety,
conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Entrants should
obtain travel advice from independent sources, such as the web site of the
Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
9. The winner and his or her companion are responsible for all other expenses
including transport to and from Departure point including but not limited to
additional Domestic airfares if required, spending money, meals (unless
specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless
specified), incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated
taxes included within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges,
passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Prize also
excludes medical expenses and items of a personal nature. Travel insurance is
highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event
of unforeseen circumstances. The winner is responsible for ensuring that they
and their travelling companion are fit to travel and have received appropriate
immunisations and/or health checks prior to taking the prize.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be
individually judged, based upon the Judging Criteria. All entries must be an independent
creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries
must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other
competitions
2. Employees of the promoter and agencies, incorporations or companies associated with this
promotion are ineligible to enter the competition, as are their immediate families.
3.To enter, entrants must have completed the entry form online at https://collectivehub.com/
cathay-pacific-comp. Only one entry is permitted per person. The Promoter reserves the right
to verify the validity of entries.
4.The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the
opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity,
potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory language. The judges decision
will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.All entries become and remain the property of the promoter and agencies, incorporations or
companies associated with this promotion (Collective Hub and Cathay Pacific).
6. The promoter and associated agencies, incorporations and companies shall not be liable for
any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or
consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with
the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by laws.
7. If Collective Hub and Cathay Pacific are unable to contact the winner within 90 days of the
draw and Collective Hub and Cathay Pacific have made every effort to contact them with the
information provided by the entrant then Collective Hub and Cathay Pacific will award the
prize to another valid entrant.
8.The entrant acknowledges and agrees that the entry is not obscene, defamatory, libelous,
threatening, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encouraging of conduct that
would be considered a criminal offence, gives rise to civil liability, or violate any law.
9.The entrant confirms and warrants that they have full power and authority to enter into this
agreement and hereby indemnify the Promoter from and against any and all costs and
damages incurred as a result of any breach of the representations and warranties made by
the entrant herein.
10. By submitting the entry form entrants agree to the Terms & Condition's of entry, and to
receive emails from Collective Hub and Cathay Pacific from which they can unsubscribe at
any time.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry submitted to the Competition.
12. To the extent necessary, the entrant hereby waives all moral rights (as defined by the
Copyright Act 1968 (Cth)), including the right of attribution.
13. The entrant warrants the entry does not incorporate any other materials which are subject
to third party proprietary rights or otherwise infringe any third party’s rights. The entrant
further warrants that they have the required consents and approvals from individuals
appearing in the entry.
14. The judges’ decision is final and binding upon all entrants and no correspondence will be
entered into. Entrants who are not winners will not receive any notification at all. The
Promoter will contact the Winner(s) in accordance with the Notification of Winners provision
to arrange for delivery of the Prize.
15. The Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is
unable to use the prize as stated. Each prize is not transferable to another person (unless
agreed to by the Promoter) or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be
redeemed for cash.
16. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers,
employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or
any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or
consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including, but not limited to, where
arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or
not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party
interference; (c) any claim or offer that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether
or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of
the Promoter; (d) any variation in gift value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e)
any tax liability incurred by a entrant; or (f) use of a Prize.
17. The Promoter and its associated agencies shall not be liable in any way if the performance
of obligations hereunder is delayed or becomes impossible by reason of any Act of God, war,
fire, earthquake, strike, sickness, accident, civil commotion or any other cause.
18. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
