General terms and conditions
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
2. The “Promoter” is Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Suite 1, Level 4, 56 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000, ABN 74 739 122 404
3. The promotion commences on 9:00AM AEST Monday 13 February 2017 and concludes at 5:00PM AEST Monday 13 March 2017. Entering the promotion constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
4. The promotion is only open to Eligible Entrants.
5. An "Eligible Entrant" is an individual who is:
a. Not an employee, officer, servant or contractor of the Promoter or any
organisation associated with the Competition or provision of the gift/prize, or their related corporate bodies or associates or any of their agencies involved with the promotion;
b. Not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such an employee or other person as described in clause 4(a) above;
c. A permanent resident of Australia; and
d. Aged 18 years or over.
6. All relevant instructions on the Promoters’ website (if any) form part of these conditions.
7. To enter the promotion, participants must complete the following “Entry Requirements”:
a. Follow @visitjapanau on Instagram.
b. Visit one (1) of the five (5) Instagram accounts below:

8. Maximum of 1 x entry per person. (commenting on more than one photo does not provide multiple chances to win)
9. By entering the promotion, entrants agree to the website Terms of Use:

10. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
11. By entering the promotion participants consent to the Promoter using entrant’s Instagram handle to contact them if they are the winner.
12. By entering the promotion and claiming the Prize, the Winner agrees that the Promoter may use their name and Instagram handle for publicity and competition purposes without compensation, and agrees that the Promoter will own copyright.
13. This promotional draw operates under Gaming License laws relating to each State and Territory in Australia as a trade lottery.
14. There will only be 1 x winner selected. The winner will be selected at 12:00PM EST on Thursday 16 March 2017, by random computer-generated selection at The Trophy Room, 545 South Dowling St, Surry Hills, NSW 2010.
15. The winner will be notified via Instagram on Friday 17 March 2017, at 12:00PM EST.
16. Photo identification (e.g. a Driver’s License) will be required to verify the winner is an Eligible Entrant.
17. If the winner cannot be contacted within one week of the draw, a new winner will be redrawn at 12:00PM EST on Thursday 23 March 2017 at The Trophy Room, 545 South Dowling St, Surry Hills, NSW 2010. The new winner will be notified via Instagram.
18. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. It is non-refundable and cannot be altered in any way and cannot be taken in parts.
19. The Promoter expressly disclaims any responsibility and entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the promotion entities from and against any and all claims, actions, demands and/or liability for injury, damage or loss whatsoever relating to or arising in
connection with participation in this promotion (regardless of the cause of such injury, damage or loss) and/or the delivery and/or subsequent use or misuse of any of the prizes awarded.
20. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.
21. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the competition. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
22. The Promoter’s decision concerning any aspect of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
23. The Promoter and its related bodies may use entrant’s email addresses for future promotional and marketing purposes. Entrants may unsubscribe at any time.
24. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees in addition to the above uses, that the Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information, to State and Territory lottery departments, the winners’ names will be published as required under the relevant lottery legislation and the Promoter may publish or cause to be published the winner's names and suburb in any media.
25. The Promoter collects information about entrants, including names and contact details which entrants provide when registering or using our services, as well as information from data houses, social media services, affiliates and other entities. The Promoter collects and uses that information to provide you with our goods and services, to promote and improve our goods and services, to provide opted-in entrants with targeted advertising, for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and for any other purposes, described at the time of collection.

Prize inclusions
27. Eligible Entrants who satisfy the Entry Requirements will be eligible to win the “Prize”:
Flights from Sydney to Tokyo on Japan Airlines.
a. 2 x return economy flights with Japan Airlines to Tokyo Narita Airport, departing Sydney International Airport, valued at approx. $4,712 AUD as at Wednesday 25 January 2017 (including taxes).
Prize terms and conditions
28. All travel must be booked in by the 17th May 2017. The Prize winner and their travel companion must be available to travel between the period of 15 April 2017 to 30 September 2017 in accordance with fare validity.
29. Flights are subject to availability at the time of booking and embargo periods, and blackout periods may apply.
30. Japan National Tourism Organization reserves the right to substitute for any reason whatsoever a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, at their sole discretion. Prize is awarded “as is” without warranty nor guarantee, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
31. The winners desired travel dates must be communicated to the designated Japan National Tourism Organization representative within 21 days of winning the Prize.
32. Flights arrangements will be made by a designated Japan National Tourism Organization representative.
33. The Prize winner and their companion must depart from and return to Sydney and travel together on the same dates/times. If the Prize winner (and their travel companion) are located outside of Sydney, connecting airfares and other travel costs will be at the winner’s expense.
34. No Prize substitution or cash equivalent of Prize will be awarded for any reason, including for cancellation of trip due to natural calamities or any other force majeure event.
35. Once the trip is confirmed, the departure date cannot be changed or winner will forfeit the Prize.
36. All other costs not included in the Prize are the responsibility of the winner.
37. Picture identification (valid driver’s license, passports, visas or other picture identification) is the winner’s and their companion’s responsibilities. Australian passport holders do not require visas to enter Japan.
38. Flights are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable, non-upgradeable, and
non-changeable. Further fare rules may apply.
39. Entire travel must be completed by 30th September 2017 in accordance with fare validity.
40. The prize winner agrees to absolve the Japan Airlines from any liability that may result from or is claimed to have resulted from participating in the competition or from the acceptance or use of the prize.
41. Any cost associated with accessing the promotion website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
