I totally get it, after five babies my friends and family really don’t know what to get us anymore for baby no.6. Baby’s wardrobe is already filled with gorgeous clothes and we are fully kitted out with pram, carrier, car seat and other baby gear, all that is left is for baby to grow bigger and stronger before its arrival in September.
However one thing you can always make me, and any other expecting parent, very happy with is a new supply of ecostore goodies. As a big family of ecostore-fans who uses their natural skin, boy and haircare products every single day we always welcome a stock-up, I think it makes the perfect baby shower gift:
ecostore has lovingly developed a fabulous range of baby products that are gentle on your precious bundle and kind on the environment too. Wave goodbye to yucky chemicals, synthetic dyes and perfumes, mineral oils and other hard-to-pronounce ingredients and go green with ecostore. Of course it is not just a great choice for little ones, our whole family uses ecostore Baby Body Wash (RRP $8.99, 200ml). It’s soft on the skin and the lavender/geranium scent is not too overwhelming.

ecostore has your daily clean covered: we used the Baby Body Wash in the shower and for the kids’ bath we add a splash of playful bubbles with the ecostore Bubble Bath (RRP $8.99, 200ml) for extra fun. Hopefully the soothing ecostore Sleepytime Bath (RRP $8.99, 200ml) lives up to its name and will help us get some much-needed sleep when baby has arrived! Did you know the ingredients used in these bath products are so gentle that with proper greywater systems in place your bath water can even be re-used on your flower gardens, lawns and trees?
ecostore Baby Shampoo (RRP $8.99, 200ml) is a plant-based formula that cleanses your child’s hair whilst carefully protecting its natural properties at the same time, it gently strips away the dirt but not the important natural oils. A small amount goes a long way so a 200ml bottle lasts ages, especially if you only have a fine layer of baby hair to wash (unless our new baby surprises us all and is born with a full head of hair!).
I know the ecostore Baby Moisturiser (RRP $9.99, 200ml) was officially created for babies but I often reach for this nourishing moisturiser for my own sensitive pregnant mama-skin too. It is absorbed quickly and the light fragrance is really pleasant and not too strong. Once our baby has been born I can hold him/her close to my skin without worrying about what the baby is breathing in, if it is safe for baby it is safe for me too! This moisturiser is also perfect for a post-bath massage.
It may be small in size and in price but the ecostore Baby Soap Goat’s Milk & Lavender (RRP $2.99, 80g) is by far one of my best finds. This soft, creamy and natural soap is ideal for our older kids who wash hands countless times a day, there is no allergic reaction like they experience with many popular liquid handsoaps (and a block of soap is a lot less wasteful) plus I know they won’t be transferring yucky chemical nasties when they touch our tiny newborn.
To be honest I think the ecostore Nappy Balm (RRP $9.99, 60ml) could do with a new name, as this little jar of magic can be used for so many more things than red bottoms. Yes it does work wonders for nappy rash, but it can also bring welcome relief for cradle cap and other little skin problems, it is one of my first go-to products when our children’s skin is playing up. ecostore Nappy Balm is a wonderful non-greasy, non-staining barrier cream that helps protect your baby’s skin the natural way.
