When does the competition close?The competition opens on 27 January 2025 at 12:00 AM AEDT and closes on 9 February 2025 at 9:00 PM AEDT.
How can one enter the competition?To enter, eligible participants must:
1. Visit the competition page at https://espnwin.com.au/superbowlsickie.
2. Click the “Generate” button to receive a randomly generated Sickie Excuse. Participants can regenerate excuses until they find one they like.
3. Complete the entry form with their first name, last name, valid email address, and mobile phone number.
4. Submit the entry form to generate a unique “Sickie Certificate”.
Once the entry is submitted, entrants will receive a shareable link with a unique code to earn bonus entries by sharing it with friends. Each friend who completes their own entry via the shared link allows the original entrant to earn five (5) bonus entries, with a maximum of twenty (20) friends and a total of up to one hundred (100) bonus entries.
What are the prizes for the competition?There is one (1) grand prize, which includes:
- A trip for two (2) to New Orleans, USA for five (5) nights, scheduled between 27 April 2025 and 4 May 2025.
- Two (2) tickets to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (General Admission), valued at AU$500.00.
- Two (2) tickets for a New Orleans Airboat ride, valued at AU$110.00.
- Two (2) tickets for a Brewery Tour, valued at AU$150.00.
- Two (2) return economy flights to New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport from the nearest Australian or New Zealand capital city, valued at a maximum of AU$7,000.00.
- Five (5) nights of accommodation at a minimum 4-star hotel in New Orleans for two (2), valued at a maximum of AU$3,475.00.
- AU$500.00 cash spending money.
- Return airport to hotel transfers in New Orleans for two (2), valued at a maximum of AU$750.00.
What is the total prize pool amount?The total prize pool for the competition is valued at AU$12,485.00, inclusive of GST.
When will the winner be selected?The winner will be selected on 10 February 2025 at 9:00 AM AEDT.
How will the winners be notified?Winners will be notified by phone and email on 10 February 2025. Additionally, the winner will be announced during the ESPN broadcast of the Super Bowl on the same day.
What is the deadline for claiming the prize?Winners must claim their prize within fourteen (14) days of being notified.
What happens if the prize is unclaimed?If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, an unclaimed prize draw will occur on 24 February 2025 at 11:59 AM AEDT, and the new winner will be notified in writing within 7 days of the draw. If the prize remains unclaimed, it will be forfeited by ESPN.
