When can they enter?The ticket ballot will be open from Friday 23 June to 5pm Monday 3 July 2023 (AEST).
How can they enter?Entrants can participate in the ticket ballot that will be promoted by HSBC and Opera Australia. Entry involves registering their details and accepting the event's Terms and Conditions. They can register for up to a maximum of four (4) tickets per entry. Also, it is a condition of entry for all entrants to join Opera Australia’s promotional program, which includes receiving emails from Opera Australia about upcoming events and promotions.
What is the prize and what is its total worth?The prize is up to four (4) performance tickets per winner, depending on how many tickets the participant requested at the time of entering the ballot. A performance ticket includes a 75-minute opera performance. There are 1,500 tickets available valued at AU$100 per ticket, making the total value of all the prizes AU$150,000.
When and how will the winner(s) be chosen and notified?Winners will be drawn by random selection by Opera Australia on Tuesday 4 July 2023. Winners will be contacted by email by Opera Australia, within 3 business days of the draw, and a link will be provided for winners to confirm their attendance.
How do winners confirm attendance at the event?Winners must use the Opera Australia booking link to confirm their attendance and pre-select their seats prior to attending the event. Upon successful completion of the booking, Opera Australia will issue the winner digital ticket(s) via email. Winners must bring proof of tickets, either a digital or printed copy, to the event.
Where and when is the event taking place?The event will take place at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House, Bennelong Point, Sydney, NSW on Sunday 16 July 2023, from 3pm – 4.15pm AEST.
Are there any special conditions?Yes, the tickets are non-transferable, non-resalable, non-negotiable, and non-refundable. There will be no cash or part cash equivalent payable to attend this event. Also, the event is subject to COVID Safe regulations.
The Promoter and/or Event Partner reserve the right to refuse entry or service to, or expel any person/s from the event with reasonable cause. All participants must follow all the applicable COVID Health and Safety laws/regulations at the HSBC event and Opera Australia venue rules. There are rules regarding disruptive behaviour, use of inappropriate language, and personal recording at the event as well.
In addition, participants agree to their participation being used in promotional materials issued by the Promoter and/or Event Partner. Also, participants agree to be contacted for updates about the event and a post-event survey.
