Who is entitled to enter the Promotion?

The promotion is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years or older and live in one of the following states: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, ACT, Western Australia, Tasmania, or Northern Territory. Entrants must either be existing primary cardholders of a HSBC Star Alliance Visa Credit Card or apply and be approved for one during the Promotion Period, and their account must be in good standing.

Who is not allowed to enter the Promotion?

Ineligible entrants include those who do not meet the entry requirements, individuals involved in organizing the prize draw, individuals entering on behalf of others, employees of HSBC Group, Visa Europe Limited, Star Alliance, and their immediate families.

What is the Promotion Period?

The promotion runs from 02/12/2024 until 11:59 PM AEDT on 31/03/2025.

How does someone enter the Promotion?

Existing cardholders can enter by completing the online registration form and making seven or more eligible purchases with their HSBC Star Alliance Visa Credit Card during the Promotion Period. New cardholders can enter by signing up and being approved for the credit card during the Promotion Period and will earn their first entry without needing to make purchases. To earn additional entries, both existing and new cardholders must submit the registration form and make seven eligible purchases.

What is the maximum number of entries per Eligible Entrant?

There is no limit to the number of entries. Each entry can be earned by making seven eligible purchases.

What are the details of the Prize?

There are seven prize packages available, each for two people. Each package includes:
1. Round trip economy tickets to one of the following destinations: Canada, USA, South Africa, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, or New Zealand.
2. 4 to 7 nights of accommodation at a minimum 4-star hotel.
3. Round trip economy airfares to the nearest capital city for connecting international flights.
The value of each prize package ranges from approximately AU $3,600 to AU $9,100.

What is the total Prize Pool Value?

The total prize pool value is up to AU $44,200.

How will the Prize winners be chosen?

Winners will be drawn randomly and electronically, overseen by an independent scrutineer.

Do any special conditions need to be met for the winner to accept the Prize?

Winners must ensure their HSBC Star Alliance Visa Credit Card account remains open and in good standing throughout the Promotion Period. They may also be required to participate in promotional activities.

How can the Prize be claimed?

Winners must confirm acceptance of their prize by 11:59 PM AEST on 14/05/2025, including that they can travel by 30/11/2025.

How and when will the winner be notified?

Winners will be notified by phone and email on 21/04/2025 and their details will be published on HSBC's website.

Is there a fee for entry?

No, there is no entry fee.

How many Prize draws will there be?

There will be one Prize draw for the seven Prizes.

What is the date, time, and place of the Prize draw?

The draw will take place on 14/04/2025 at 1:00 PM AEST at 3 Amy Close, Wyong NSW 2259.

In what circumstances would the Prize be forfeited?

A Prize will be forfeited if the winner cannot be contacted, if their credit card account is closed or not in good standing at the time of the Prize draw, or if they fail to meet the promotion conditions.

When and where is the Redraw Date?

The Redraw will occur on 15/05/2025 at the same time and place as the original draw.
